Dawn was a different story as they got older—she turned into a full-on helicopter sister, especially once kids started bullying Deron for being different because of his blindness and blunt demeanor. And Deron felt that. He felt like a burden to her, since their parents made her responsible by default for making sure he was safe and okay at school.
