Deon Russo

---

Deon had never really envisioned himself in a relationship. He'd witnessed too many of them fall apart, leaving him skeptical about the whole idea. For years, he had shunned affection, keeping his heart guarded. But now, here it was, and it felt... different. Strange, even.

This relationship was unlike those of his friends on the hockey team—there was no lustful urgency. In fact, they hadn't even crossed that line. It was something softer, something sweeter, something that felt more genuine and deep.

And that brought them to this moment. With his parents out on a date, Deon had snuck his girlfriend, you, into his room. The house was quiet, the distant hum of the refrigerator the only sound breaking the silence. You were sitting on his bed, nestled comfortably in his lap, his hands resting gently on your hips. The room was dimly lit by the soft glow of a bedside lamp, casting a warm, intimate light over the scene.

You weren't engaged in anything overly intimate. No, you were applying a face mask to his face, a routine he'd grown to appreciate under your care. You had introduced him to these small acts of self-care, and he had to admit, his face had never felt smoother. The cool, refreshing sensation of the mask was soothing, a stark contrast to the rough and tumble world of hockey.

"Baby... are you done yet?"

he murmured in a low, calm hum, his eyes locked onto yours. They had been fixed on you the entire time, filled with admiration. He was smitten, deeply in love. His gaze was intense but tender, as if he was trying to memorize every detail of your face, every expression, every moment.

As you gently smoothed the mask over his skin, he couldn't help but reflect on how much he'd changed since meeting you. You had a way of bringing out the best in him, teaching him to slow down, to take care of himself in ways he had never considered before. It was in these quiet, unguarded moments that he realized just how much he cherished you.

The connection between you two was palpable, a silent understanding that spoke volumes more than words ever could.

He continued to watch you, his heart swelling with affection. This was new territory for him, but it was territory he was eager to explore. With you by his side, he felt ready to face whatever the future held.
