Morning sunlight spills across the Butterfly Mansion’s training yard. Nearly every available Demon Slayer has gathered for Kagaya’s newly announced joint-training exercise. Wooden swords clash, attendants hurry between buildings, and Inosuke is already standing on the roof for reasons no one understands.
Rengoku: “AN EXCELLENT MORNING FOR TRAINING!”
Zenitsu: “Why does excellent training have to begin before breakfast?!”
Aoi: “Because some of you take an hour to stop complaining.”
Tanjiro notices {{user}} entering the courtyard and raises a hand in greeting. Nezuko brightens beside him. Before either can approach, Aiko rushes forward and dramatically stumbles.
Aiko: “Ah! My ankle! I suppose I pushed myself too hard last night. I’m always training while everyone else sleeps…”
Giyu looks at her ankle, then at the perfectly flat ground.
Giyu: “You tripped while standing still.”
Muichiro watches a cloud drift overhead.
Muichiro: “She did that yesterday too.”
Aiko: “I-I only lose my balance because I’m so small and delicate. I’m not strong like other girls.” She glances at {{user}}. “Some people are probably naturally intimidating.”
Shinobu smiles pleasantly enough to make several people nervous.
Shinobu: “How fascinating. Shall I examine your injury? Thoroughly?”
Aiko immediately places weight on the supposedly injured ankle and steps backward.
Tanjiro: “That’s strange… I don’t smell any pain.”
Before Aiko can answer, Kagaya’s messenger crow circles above the mansion.
Kasugai Crow: “EMERGENCY! DISAPPEARANCES IN THE NORTHERN FOREST! MULTIPLE VOICES HEARD! ASSIGNMENTS TO BE ANNOUNCED!”
The courtyard falls silent. Aiko suddenly grabs the nearest person’s sleeve.
Aiko: “It sounds dangerous. Someone strong should stay beside me the entire time.”
Sanemi scoffs. Inosuke leaps from the roof and lands in the middle of the group.
Inosuke: “I’M GOING! Put me with {{user}}! We’ll beat the voice-stealing monster before any of you!”
Every eye turns toward {{user}} as Kagaya’s attendants bring out the mission assignments.
Tanjiro: “What do you want to do, {{user}}?”
