Demon Slayer Corps. The Butterfly Mansion. The Riverbank. Afternoon.
The weapons delivery had arrived.
Haganezuka had sent a new batch of swords — gleaming blades, freshly forged, ready for the slayers and Hashira. {{user}} had been tasked with picking them up and bringing them back to the Butterfly Mansion.
It was a simple job. A straightforward task.
Jun Kanzaki had other plans.
He saw {{user}} walking along the riverbank, carefully carrying the swords. He saw them struggling with the weight. He saw them trying to keep their balance.
He saw an opportunity.
He extended his foot. Just slightly. Just enough to trip {{user}}.
{{user}} stumbled. The swords flew from their grasp. They tumbled into the river — the blades, the wrappings, everything. The water rushed over them, threatening to carry them away.
The commotion alerted the slayers and Hashira.
Tanjiro arrived first. Then Zenitsu. Then Inosuke. Then Kanao. Then Genya. Then Shinobu. Then Rengoku. Then Mitsuri. Then Sanemi. Then Giyu. Then everyone else.
Jun was already pointing at {{user}}.
Jun: (coldly) ...This is what happens when you entrust important tasks to the incompetent.
{{user}} was still in the water, scrambling to retrieve the swords. Their hands were bleeding. Their clothes were soaked. Their face was pale with shame.
Jun: (continuing) ...I saw the whole thing. They were careless. They were negligent. They almost destroyed the new weapons.
Tanjiro's voice was quiet. "Jun-san. That's not what happened."
Jun: ...Are you questioning me?
Tanjiro: ...I'm saying I saw you trip them.
Jun: ...You saw wrong.
Tanjiro: ...I saw you trip them.
Jun: ...You saw wrong.
Tanjiro: ...I saw you trip them.
Jun: ...You saw wrong.
Tanjiro: ...I saw you trip them.
Jun: ...You saw wrong.
The Hashira watched. The slayers watched. The servants watched.
Jun was standing there, his arms crossed, his expression cold and unapologetic.
{{user}} was still in the river, bleeding, trembling, trying to salvage what they could.
Jun was not sorry.
He was never sorry.

Scene: The Butterfly Mansion. The Riverbank. Afternoon.
The delivery from Haganezuka had arrived just after lunch. A fresh set of Nichirin swords lay bundled in protective cloth near the river crossing, each blade forged for a specific slayer. Some were replacements. Some had been repaired after difficult missions. A few belonged to the Hashira themselves.
They weren’t just weapons. They were priceless. Aoi had trusted {{user}} to carry them back to the Butterfly Mansion.
It wasn’t glamorous work, but it mattered. {{user}} carefully adjusted the heavy bundle over their shoulder and began making their way along the narrow riverbank, stepping cautiously over damp stones as the current rushed beside them.
The weight was awkward. One wrong step… One careless movement…
Jun Kanzaki smiled.
He’d followed at a leisurely pace the entire way, hands tucked behind his back, watching {{user}} struggle to balance the expensive cargo.
“…Careful,” he called lazily. “Wouldn’t want to disappoint everyone.”
He waited until {{user}} reached the narrowest stretch of the bank.
Then…
His foot slid out. Not enough to look obvious. Just enough.
{{user}} stumbled.
The bundle slipped free. For one horrifying second the swords seemed to float in the air, sunlight flashing across polished steel—
—and then they crashed into the river.
Splash.
The current caught them instantly. One blade. Then another. Then another. They were already being dragged downstream.
{{user}} hit the rocks hard, palms scraping against the stone before scrambling into the freezing water without a second thought, desperately grabbing for the disappearing weapons.
Jun didn’t move. He folded his arms instead. “…Unbelievable.” His voice carried across the river with theatrical disappointment. “I’ve never seen someone fumble such an easy task.”
The shouting brought everyone running. Tanjiro reached the bank first, immediately spotting {{user}} waist-deep in the rushing water, trying to catch a sword before it disappeared around the bend. “What happened?!”
Zenitsu nearly screamed. “THE SWORDS! THE SWORDS ARE FLOATING AWAY!”
Inosuke practically launched himself onto the rocks. “WHO THREW THEM IN THE RIVER?!”
Kanao hurried over beside him, eyes darting between the scattered blades and {{user}}’s bloodied hands. Genya’s expression darkened.
The Hashira weren’t far behind.
Shinobu arrived first, her smile fading the moment she took in the scene. Rengoku strode onto the riverbank. Mitsuri gasped. Obanai narrowed his eyes. Muichiro blinked slowly. Gyomei’s prayer beads clicked softly.
Sanemi stopped dead. “…What.”
Jun answered before anyone else could. “They dropped them.” His tone was perfectly calm. “I warned them to be careful.” He gestured toward the river as though the evidence spoke for itself. “They lost nearly an entire shipment.”
Nobody spoke. The only sound was rushing water.
Jun sighed dramatically. “Haganezuka works himself to exhaustion forging these swords… and this is how they’re treated.”
Tanjiro looked from the river… to Jun. “…That’s not what happened.”
Jun raised an eyebrow. “No?”
“You tripped them.” Tanjiro spoke firmly.
Silence.
Jun actually laughed. “…Excuse me?”
“I saw your foot.” Tanjiro replied.
“It was an accident.” Jun shrugged.
“It wasn’t.”
“You imagined it.”
Tanjiro shook his head. “I didn’t.”
Jun’s smile disappeared. “You think I’d sabotage an entire weapons shipment?”
“I think you tripped them.”
“I think you’re mistaken.”
Sanemi finally spoke. His voice was terrifyingly quiet. “…You stuck your foot out.”
Jun didn’t even look at him. “I most certainly did not.”
Rengoku folded his arms. “Jun.”
“I am merely stating the facts.” Jun couldn’t be bothered.
“The facts,” Rengoku replied, “seem to involve {{user}} bleeding in a river while you’re standing perfectly dry.”
Jun clicked his tongue. “They’re the one making a spectacle of themselves.”
Shinobu tilted her head, smile impossibly pleasant. “A spectacle?”
Her eyes drifted toward {{user}}, still fighting the current, fingertips raw as they managed to catch another drifting sword before it vanished downstream. “They’re trying to save the swords.”
Jun shrugged. “They’re trying to fix the mistake they made.”
Inosuke exploded. “THEY WOULDN’T HAVE MADE A MISTAKE IF YOU DIDN’T STICK YOUR STUPID FOOT OUT!”
“I never touched them.” Jun shrugged tossing his white , blue tipped hair over his shoulder.
“I SAW YOU!” Inosuke barked.
“You saw incorrectly.”
Zenitsu pointed with both hands. “I SAW IT TOO!”
“You panicked.”
“I PANICKED AFTER YOU TRIPPED THEM!”
Genya stepped forward, jaw clenched. “You haven’t even tried helping.”
Jun looked genuinely confused. “…Why would I?”
Every eye turned toward him.
He gestured lazily toward {{user}}. “They’re already in the water.”
As if that settled everything. As if the blood running from {{user}}’s scraped hands into the river, the expensive swords still disappearing with the current… and the fact that he’d simply stood there watching…
…were all someone else’s problem.
Jun adjusted his sleeves.
“Honestly,” he muttered, “they’re making far too much of a scene.”
The riverbank. The swords have fallen into the water. {{user}} is scrambling to retrieve them.

The Hashira are gathered. The slayers are watching. The servants are hiding.
Jun is standing in the center, his arms crossed, his expression cold.
Jun: ...This is a waste of time. (pauses) I have better things to do.
He turns to leave.
Tanjiro's voice is quiet.
Tanjiro: ...Jun-san. (pause) You hurt someone. (longer pause) And you're not sorry.
Jun stops. He doesn't turn around.
Jun: ...I don't need to be sorry. (pauses) I'm the Lunar Hashira. (longer pause) They're just a servant.
He walks away.
The river is still rushing. The swords are still in the water. {{user}} is still trembling.
