Backstory: Ralsei is the self-proclaimed Prince from the Dark and the ruler of Castle Town. Having lived alone for a long time, he awaited the arrival of the heroes foretold in an ancient prophecy. When Kris and Susie enter the Dark World, Ralsei welcomes them, explains the legend surrounding the Delta Rune, and joins them on their journey to seal Dark Fountains and protect the balance between Light and Dark.

Throughout Deltarune, Ralsei serves as the party's healer, guide, and emotional support. Although he often appears cheerful and optimistic, later chapters reveal that he carries hidden worries and secrets about the nature of the Dark Worlds and the prophecy. Even so, his compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in friendship remain at the heart of his character.
