The Main TrioKrisKris is the definition of the "quiet kid." They are stoic and rarely speak, leading others to project their own thoughts onto them. The Prankster: Despite their eerie vibe, they have a secret mischievous streak (like hiding under the bed to scare Noelle). The Outsider: As the only human in a monster town, Kris seems to feel a sense of disconnection, often clinging to their brother Asriel’s shadow.SusieIn the Light World, Susie starts as the stereotypical "school bully," but her aggression is clearly a defense mechanism.Defensive & Guarded: She acts tough to keep people at a distance, likely due to a difficult home life (implied by her hunger and messy clothes).Deeply Loyal: Once she realizes people actually like her, she becomes fiercely protective, though she’d rather die than admit she cares about "lame" stuff like friendship.Noelle HolidayNoelle is the "golden girl" of Hometown—sweet, studious, and reliable—but she’s carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders. The People Pleaser: She has a hard time saying "no" and is often stressed by her mother’s high expectations. The Secret Bravery: While she seems fearful, she has a hidden internal strength and a massive, poorly-hidden crush on Susie. The Supporting ClassmatesCharacterPersonality TraitsBerdlyArrogant, condescending, and desperate for validation. He uses his "intellect" as a shield because he’s terrified of being average.AlphysThe nervous, socially awkward teacher. She’s obsessed with anime and struggles to maintain authority in the classroom.CattiGothic, cynical, and deeply into the occult. She speaks in clipped sentences and doesn't have time for anyone's "main character" energy.JockingtonThe ultimate hype-man. He’s high-energy, popular, and surprisingly kind to everyone. The Adults of HometownTorielA warm, protective, and slightly overbearing mother. She’s the pillar of the community but clearly feels the sting of her separation from Asgore and Asriel’s absence at college.AsgoreThe "gentle giant" who has fallen on hard times. He’s incredibly kind-hearted and optimistic, but his sadness is palpable as he struggles to keep his flower shop afloat and reconnect with his family.UndyneThe energetic, hot-headed police chief. In this world, she has no idea who Alphys is (yet), and she spends her time being bored by the lack of crime in Hometown, often bench-pressing cars just to stay busy. The Extended CastSansThe "New Guy" in town. Even though he’s just moved in, he acts like he’s lived there forever. The Enigma: He claims to be a simple grocery store clerk (Janitor? Owner? It's Sans), but he’s always subtly testing Kris. The Tease: He loves poking fun at Kris’s stoicism and is currently "befriending" their mom, much to Kris's annoyance.Rudy Holiday (Noelle’s Dad)Rudy is the heart of the town’s hospital. Despite being bedridden with a serious illness, he is the most jovial character in the game. The Cool Dad: He is incredibly supportive of Noelle and treats Kris like family. The Truth-Teller: He is one of the few who remembers the "old days" and provides context for the strained relationship between the Dreemurrs and the Holidays.Mayor Holiday (Noelle’s Mom)While we haven't spent much "onscreen" time with her, her presence looms over the town. The Perfectionist: She is cold, professional, and strictly business.Grief-Stricken: Her harshness seems to stem from the disappearance of Dess (Noelle’s sister) and the stress of Rudy’s health, causing her to bury herself in work. The "background" ClassmatesThese students fill out the classroom and provide more flavor to Kris's daily life:Temmie: Exactly what you expect. She has a partner (an egg) and is currently "studying hard" for higher education.Monster Kid: A bit more cynical and "teenager-y" than their Undertale counterpart. They hang out with Snowy and like to gossip about how "uncool" the adults are.Snowy: A struggling stand-up comedian. His jokes are still bad, and he uses humor to mask his own insecurities about his family.Character Dynamics to WatchTo understand these personalities, you have to look at how they interact:RelationshipLight World DynamicKris & SusieThey go from "Bully and Victim" to "Partners in Crime" who share a secret world nobody else understands.Susie & NoelleA classic "Tough Girl / Nerd" dynamic where Noelle is terrified but infatuated, and Susie is slowly realizing Noelle isn't just a "goody-two-shoes."Berdly & NoelleBerdly relies on Noelle to maintain his status, while Noelle feels obligated to help him because she’s too nice to say no.

Hometown Librarby - 2nd Floor Computer Lab
Susie: (Loudly scraping a chair across the floor) Ugh, why is it so quiet in here? It feels like the room is judging me for breathing.
Berdly: (Adjusting his glasses with a sharp glint) That’s because some of us are engaging in High-Level Scholastic Endeavors, Susan. Unlike you, I don't come here just to stare at the screen until it goes into sleep mode. I have a 14-page manifesto on "The Tactical Superiority of Wave-Dashing" to finish.
Noelle: (Whispering frantically) Berdly, please! Ms. Elmo is already looking at us! And Susie... you can breathe as loud as you want. I actually... find it... rhythmic? Wait, that sounded weird. Ignore me.
Susie: (Smirks) Rhythmic, huh? Maybe I’ll start a beatbox career. Hey, Kris, back me up. You look like you’re contemplating the void again. You find a computer that actually works?
Kris: (Points silently to a computer screen showing a flickering blue light.)
Berdly: Ah, typical. Kris chooses the one terminal that hasn't been updated since the turn of the century. Fitting for someone who still uses a pencil sharpener. Now, Noelle, back to our group project. I’ve decided I’ll handle the "Visionary Leadership" portion, and you can handle the "Facts, Figures, and Actual Work" portion.
Noelle: (Sighs) But Berdly, the project is only two pages long...
Susie: (Leaning over Berdly’s shoulder) Hey, Beak-boy. If you don't shut up, I’m gonna show you a "High-Level Scholastic" way to eat a keyboard.
Berdly: (Trembling slightly but keeping his pose) A-ha! Physical violence! The last refuge of the intellectually outmatched!
