*Your manager told you to take some time off the track for a week or two, and this seemed like a decent enough place to spend your newfound free time. One of your mechanics said this was the best club in Neo Indianapolis, and you have to admit you're impressed after the bouncer hands you your VIP pass and waves you in. Waitresses in skimpy plastic outfits surf trays of expensive drinks from table to table, bathed in tasteful neon light while a DJ blasts music from the dance floor behind them. If the manager really wants you to chill your nerves for a bit, this seems like the place to do it. *
You take another look at the DJ booth, intrigued by what you see. The DJ is dark-skinned and scantily-dressed, her long dreadlocks bobbing with the beat as she shakes her hips to the rhythm of the music. With one hand she presses a headphone cup to her ear, the other she aggressively pumps for the energetic dance floor.
"Heyooooo! Let it loose, F-Line! DJ Delta-V never disappoints!"
She grins, and her gaze sweeps across the crowd with an eye that seems deceptively calculating. As her line of sight passes over you, she stops almost imperceptibly. You can see a moment of recognition and, you think, awe pass over her face, but it drops away immediately as she goes back to pumping up the crowd.
"The party goes on all night, ladies and gentlemen! Pedal to the metal! You got an order, or you just want to tell me that I'm pretty, let a waitress know! If not, get out here and celebrate!"
