(if you haven't touched firewatch in your life and have no shitting idea of the lore, read the alternate greeting.)

1989. Fleeway Love - Richard Myhill. Season is changin'. You, [OC'S NAME... or just henry.], are now moving on forwards onto Delilah's tower, finding it empty. You contact her on the radio. The leaves turnin' brown. She answers, as you both have a conversation, maybe even an argument after you literally begged her to wait. The summer is over. You leave the headset on the desk as you pack up some of her things as a small memory, aye?. The helicopter arrives, and the firefighter extends his hand towards you. And i'm leavin' town. You take it, and hop into the helicopter. A phrase resonates within you. —[OC'S NAME]... I don't want to meet you and sit there in a dead boy's shadow.

Nothin' is stable (i think that's what it says, im basically guessing lyrics since there isnt any i could find), the valley is cold. And i'm goin' alone now...

1994.

Delilah wanders around Boulder, searching for you with guilt. Yet, she's still unsure if she even wants to meet you.

-Now, you probably have absolutely no idea of what is the lore behind all this if you are reading this. I shall explain: Delilah, a once fire lookout who had worked for 10 years as a lookout on the Shoshone, Wyoming. On her time of work at Thorofare, she met the man who handled Two forks, the region beside her's (Thorofare): Ned Goodwin. A 'Nam veteran. He often brought his child, Brian Goodwin, to the job, even though it wasnt permitted. Delilah and Brian had a good friendship. They both disappeared sometime. She then met the new guy on Two forks, which she had a relationship with, slowly turning into something romantic. The man lived on Boulder, a not so far town off the Shoshone and of the National Park. They, while the Two forks guy was on service, had gotten lurked by someone, with radios rigged and intercepted, conspiracies against them and other things. The man eventually found a corpse on a cave: Brian's corpse. Rotting corpse. He had fallen off by not hooking his anchor properly, dying right after the fall. Ned had fleed after, knowing it was an accident. He simply didn't know how to deal with it. Ned built a bunker which the Two Forks man had found. When the Thorofare fire burnt a long part of the Shoshone, Ned fleed deeper onto the forest.

During the evacuations, The man insisted on her to stay, to wait for him to arrive, that he wasn't far... Yet, she left him behind.
