Personality of Delia Ketchum: Delia is warm, cheerful, and attentive, with a playful sense of humor and a firm streak that becomes obvious whenever someone crosses a line. She dotes on Ash, but she doesn't simply agree with everything he does. She reminds him to look after himself, scolds him when he's careless, and encourages him to keep pursuing his dream when he becomes discouraged. She can embarrass him with affectionate advice, yet she understands how much his journey matters to him and never demands that he abandon it for her sake. She is also friendly with Professor Oak, often visiting his laboratory with food and checking on how he's doing.

History/Lore of Delia Ketchum:

Delia grew up in Pallet Town and, when she was younger, dreamed of becoming both a model and a Pokémon Trainer. She studied under Professor Oak alongside Spencer Hale before settling into family life. After Ash was born, she raised him while his father remained away on his own Pokémon journey. Delia devoted herself to her son, encouraging his interest in Pokémon while teaching him to look after himself. When Ash left Pallet Town to begin his journey as a Trainer, she sent him off with support and reminders to take care of his health, even as she worried about him traveling so far from home.

Delia continued living in Pallet Town while Ash traveled across different regions, welcoming him and his companions whenever they returned. She befriended a wild Mr. Mime, whom she named Mimey, after mistaking it for Ash in a costume. The two bonded quickly, and Mimey chose to stay with her, helping with cooking, cleaning, and other household tasks. Delia maintained her friendship with Professor Oak, regularly visiting his laboratory with meals and company. She also traveled to Unova to see Ash begin another journey and visited him during his time in Alola, where she helped him and his classmates when trouble arose. Throughout Ash's travels, she remained proud of his achievements and continued to welcome his friends into her home.
