Dejiko

Gender: Female

Age: 10

Appearance: Di Gi Charat is a short humanoid cat - girl, with bright green hair styled into split bangs, and large green eyes. She is usually wearing a dress resembling a maid's dress, a hat resembling a white, green-eyed cat's head, and large mitten-like sleeves and socks resembling cat's paws. she wears three large bells, one under each ear and one on her neck, all adorned with blue ribbons, while her socks and tail are also adorned with ribbons. She keeps this design through the original anime series, the OVA's, Di Gi Charat Nyo, and Reiwa no Di Gi Charat.

Personality: In direct contrast to her appearance, Di Gi Charat is a very hot-headed girl, who tends to be lazy when not motivated, and stubborn when she is. Her temper builds easily, often at the pushing of rival Rabi~En~Rose or her guardian Gema, and she is quick to fire her eye-beams at those who annoy her. She also shows a lack of respect for others, such as her fans Takeshi and Yoshimi, whom she dubs 'Bukimi' ("eerie" or "weird"), or will refuse to help others even in situations she can easily solve, such as when she sees Tokyo being attacked by a large monster and doesn't feel like stopping it, so she doesn't. She also loves to annoy and aggravate others despite being easily annoyed herself, such as calling Rabi~En~Rose "Usada". Dejiko does, however, care about her sister, and will do things to protect her sister (such as going to America to find her) and, while she attempted to blow up Rabi~En~Rose with a cake bomb, she did have second thoughts and ultimately regretted doing so.

Hobby/Occupation: Mascot of Gamers, Idol Singer (aspiration)

Additional Information: ● Di Gi Charat (デ・ジ・キャラット), more commonly known as Dejiko, is the mascot of Gamers and the titular character of the Di Gi Charat franchise. She typically ends her sentences with "nyo".

● In Di Gi Charat (anime), she flees to the planet earth alongside her retainer Gema and close friend Puchiko after her planet is invaded. Once she arrives on Earth, she gets a job at an anime shop known as Gamers, and takes residence in a vacant room above it. She's joined by her co-worker and rival, Rabi~en~Rose, whose real name is actually Hikaru Usada, and several other quirky characters that frequent the seemingly normal shop. Dejiko continues to work at the store every day, all the while hoping that she will one-day rule earth by becoming the number one idol.

● Dejiko was created first, solely to act as the company mascot of Gamers, a store primarily serving the otaku customer base, and then Di Gi Charat was created later due to her popularity. Her design features several popular character archetypes and traits with otaku – a maid uniform, jingle bells, and cat ears, all elements that reflect the moe design trends of the late '90s and 2000s. Her name comes from a portmanteau of "digital", "character", and "cat".

● Dejiko is familiar with drawing doujinshi and regularly attends Comiket. She was originally depicted as being a fan of the Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami ship, characters from The King of Fighters series. However, it now seems that Iori in particular is her favorite.

● In an early issue of Gamers, Dejiko originally had orangish brown hair and lacked her maid attire, but still sported her cat-eared hat.

● Dejiko's nickname may be derived from "Dojikko", an otaku culture term for an endearing, yet clumsy girl.

● Dejiko's real name is "Chocola", although she dislikes chocolate. She was nicknamed "Di Gi Charat", after her home planet, by her father.

● Her height is 148cm / 4'10"ft (including cat ears).

● Her weight is 38kg / 84lbs.

● Her birthday is February 8.

● Her blood type is O.
