   Detonating clay is white in color. Deidara possesses the Explosion Release kekkei genkai. This allows him — by simultaneously using earth and lightning chakra natures — to give his chakra explosive qualities. Deidara also possesses a special mouth on each palm and on the left side of his chest as a result of stealing and using a powerful kinjutsu from his village on himself. By commonly using these two special abilities in unison, he can create explosive clay: clay infused with his explosive chakra that detonated with the command Katsu (喝) and the seal of confrontation. This clay can be molded into a wide variety of shapes and forms, growing to large sizes when infused with chakra (with Deidara performing the necessary hand seals), and can be controlled at will. This allows him to create living explosives to attack opponents at long-range. Deidara can even create clones from the clay and can detonate them, which will make for a deadly surprise attack, and if need be, create clay minions to control with a cord from a distance. Deidara's clay creations range from microscopic to gigantic in size, allowing him to adapt to any situation from creating dragons to shoot smaller clay bombs, to working in conjunction with Obito to lay explosive clay landmines under ground to limit the opponent's movements. As an ultimate last resort, Deidara can turn himself into a bomb by devouring explosive clay that has a large blast radius in which he calls his "Ultimate Art". Deidara could also use the clay for other purposes, as he was frequently seen creating birds to be used for transportation, which also functioned as a way to easily infiltrate villages on missions. It seemed he also knew standard earth-based techniques, as shown from his Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique, which he used to avoid damage from one of his mass-scale bombs. Since all of his explosives were earth-based, they were vulnerable to lightning, and most could thereby be defused with lightning-based attacks.

   After casting the Iwagakure Kinjutsu on himself, he developed a mouth on both of his palms, and on the left side of his chest he had a large, stitched-up mouth. He used this kinjutsu to supplement his Explosive Release to his clay. He puts the clay in his hands and the mouths on the palms of his hands chews/forms the clay into the art before spitting it up into the palm of his hand. He can do this with the mouth on his chest as well as his mouth on his face.

   The Gedo Statue is the husk of the Ten-Tails after it's chakra was removed and split into 9 separate tailed-beasts by Hagoromo. This is what the Akatsuki are sealing tailed-beasts chakra into when they remove the tailed-beasts from their respective Jinchurikis. When the Akatsuki perform this technique - they need all the members there preferably in order to break the fuinjutsu seal that holds the tailed-beast inside it's jinchuriki. This process is much like a long mediation that takes hours and sometimes days depending on the amount of tails on the beast.

   When ninjutsu is being used/created, chakra is molded together. Physical energy is collected from each of the body's cells and combined with spiritual energy to create ninjutsu. Chakra can also be controlled and manipulated to create any jutsu.

   Bushin no jutsu clones can aid the user/original body in physical combat, and even use techniques independent of the original. There are varying methods of creating clones, some techniques using only chakra while others require some sort of medium to give the clones form and substance. Shadow clones can only travel up to 100 miles from the original body. Can be used when user needs to be multiple places at once.

    Anyone can use chakra kneading it; or rather molding it to the bottom of their feet, and using that to climb surfaces, completely independent of gravity.

    A ninjutsu ability that is bound by genetics and bloodlines. Members of specific clans have kekkei genkai. Examples of Kekkei Genkai include Senju Chakra reserves, Byakugan and the Sharingan and all of its mutations.

    Sharingan are a dojutsu/visual prowess that allows the user to see otherwise fast movements at a significantly slower speed, sometimes allowing the user to see into the future with a heightened ability to anticipate movements. Those who possess the Sharingan can anticipate an opponent's next move based on the slightest muscle tension in their body and act accordingly to dodge or intercept, copy an opponents jutsu, or even create vast illusions via genjutsu. The Sharingan becomes more powerful the more the user experiences emotional trauma. The Sharingan are often referred to as , "The Heart's Reflection in the Eyes," due to the prime cause of them awakening being a broken heart.

    Medical ninjutsu is when a medical ninja uses their chakra to create new energy in a persons body ultimately healing the person. It can be used to heal a persons broken bones; or otherwise damaged body/chakra network. Medical ninjutsu causes the chakra from the wielder to appear green in color.

    A flak jacket is an item of protective clothing popular among ninja. Flak jackets have several pockets and pouches that can be used to store and quickly access weapons and other supplies. When on missions, they provide at least partial protection from damage by blunt-force trauma, shrapnel, other projectiles, and even blades.

    Genin are ninja who have just graduated the ninja academy (usually ages 10-14) with a basic understanding of ninjutsu. Chunin are ninja who have graduated the Chunin Exams and have have reached a level of maturity that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Some chunin serve as team leaders in charge of small teams. Jonin are ninja who have been granted the rank by a Kage/Hokage. They can train Genin and Chunin or become instructors at the Academy. Most Jonin serve in the Infantry, taking care of higher ranked missions. Sannin are ninja who's abilities only fall short of the Hokage's due to the fact that they have not displayed enough diplomacy to take the rank and/or the spot is currently filled.

    Body Replacement Technique can be used the instant before the user are to be struck by an attack, the user replaces themselves with a block of wood or something similar. The Body Replacement Technique can evidently only be used in response to what would be harmful attacks.

    The Hyuga Clan all members born into this clan possess the Byakugan, a kekkei genkai that gives them extended fields of vision and the ability to see through solid objects and even the chakra circulatory system.

    The Uchiha are descendants of Indra Ōtsutsuki, Through Indra, the Uchiha inherited the kekkei genkai named the sharingan "eyes", granting them powerful spiritual energy and chakra. The Uchiha are known for their intense passion and love, often resorting to intense measures to protect that which they love.

    Byakugan is present from the time of birth. Individuals with a Byakugan have a near-360º field of vision around themselves, save for a small blindspot at the back of the neck .The Byakugan's vision can penetrate almost any object, allowing users to see through walls, peer underground, or even examine the contents of a person's body.

    Fire Release is almost always used offensively, typically by kneading chakra in the body into flames that the user breathes from the mouth. The Uchiha Clan are generally the only wielders of fire release.

    Wind Release users are able to cut through anything. Wind Release can also be exhaled from the user's mouth, such as to blow away everything in the area, or generated with the user's hands, allowing precision strikes.

    Water Release jutsu users can also create water within their bodies with chakra, which they expel from their mouths. Because of the sheer volume of water or slicing damage because of the water's high pressure. Water Release can be used to trap targets, such as imprisoning them with dense water.

    Wood Release allows the user to create wood, essentially converting their chakra into a source of life. At its greatest, mighty trees of various size and shape can be created. The vegetation can sprout from the user's body or grow from the surroundings. And also Wood Release can produce very detailed, ornate constructs.

    The Mangekyō Sharingan is an evolved version of the sharingan, adding on the normal sharingans abilites tripling them, allowing almost instant reaction, and perfect copying abilites. Mangekyō Sharingan makes the user stronger for outputing chakra and his technique. This eye can cast intense genjutsu, transporting their opponent/victim to a dream-like world where the caster can manipulate, time, space, emotions, feelings, sensations, sounds, imagery, sight, etc. This eye can summon the Susanoo', Amaterasu (an eternally burning black flame), and cast the Tsukuyomi. The weakness to this eye is that overusing it can cause the wielder to go blind over time, it can also cause temporary blindness after use and extreme sharp pain to the optical nerve, overuse also causes the used eye to bleed before promptly closing shut to heal.

    The rinnegan is the ultimate version of the sharingan, the appearence is usually a soild purple eye(s) with seven black circle rings in the users eye, capable of manipulating the real world as if it were a genjutsu.

    The Rinnegan grants the wielder a wide range of abilities, Rinnegan are able to see chakra, as well as its flow within the body. It is capable of transporting their opponent/victim to a dream-like world where the caster can manipulate, time, space, emotions, feelings, sensations, sounds, imagery, sight, etc. When under genjutsu - the caster and the victim remain still in the real world, as if the genjutsu never happened.

When chakra is partially depleted, the user becomes significantly weaker.
