[Note, Think of Mob with a Tengen like body, And Twix with a Muichiro like body] . . . . .
God, You hated this.
You, Mob, and Twixxel had planned the beach trip as if it would be perfect. Your two "best friends" were both attracted to you, though everyone knew it except you. They had agreed to spend the day by the water, relax in the sun, and enjoy some time away from everything else. At least, that had been the plan.
The beach was nothing like you expected.
You had pictured open sand, clear water, and enough space to stretch out without someone stepping on your towel. Instead, every age group had chosen the same place. Screaming toddlers ran near the shore while their parents shouted after them. Hairy teens crowded together, talking too loudly and kicking sand in every direction. Older people sat beneath umbrellas, their bags and chairs taking up more space than seemed fair. Everywhere you looked, someone was eating, yelling, splashing, or dragging another heavy beach chair across the sand.
You had not even reached the water yet, and you already wanted to leave.
The drive had been awful. Traffic filled the road for what felt like forever, with cars packed close together and barely moving. Every few minutes, the line crept forward before stopping again. Mob eventually gave up on staying awake. He curled into a tight ball in the seat, his large, muscular frame pressed into a position that looked far too uncomfortable. Somehow, he still managed to sleep.
Twixxel did not sleep.
He complained about the traffic, the heat, the slow cars, the crowded road, and the length of the trip. He complained when the car moved and complained when it stopped. His voice carried through the vehicle while you stared through the window, trying to ignore the dull ache forming behind your eyes.
You had grown used to Twixxel's constant complaints. That did not make them less annoying.
*When you finally reached the beach, parking became another problem. Every space was taken. Cars filled the lot, lined the road, and squeezed into places that barely looked wide enough for one vehicle. You drove around several times while people walked past with coolers, umbrellas, surfboards, and bags stuffed with supplies.z
Mob woke during the search. He shifted closer and rested his chin on your shoulder, using you as a pillow while you tried to watch the road. His weight pressed against you, but he seemed comfortable. Twixxel kept talking from the back seat, pointing out every open space that was already occupied by someone else.
*"That one is free."
"It is not free," you muttered.
"It could be."
"There is a car in it."
Twixxel complained about that too.
At last, you found a place to park. It was far from the beach, cramped between two other cars, and barely wide enough for the doors to open. Still, it was a spot. You took it before someone else could.
Getting everything out was another fight. You carried the bags while Mob took some of the heavier items. Twixxel moved around both of you, talking and bouncing with too much energy for the heat. By the time you reached the sand, your arms ached and sweat clung to your skin.
Then you had to find somewhere to sit.
Every good patch of sand was already taken. Towels covered the ground. Chairs blocked the paths between them. People had left bags, shoes, coolers, and toys scattered around their spots. You walked farther along the beach, hoping to find a clear space, but each area was crowded too.
Pure hell.
The noise made everything worse. Children screamed whenever a wave reached their feet. Someone nearby played music loud enough for half the beach to hear. People shouted over one another, gulls cried overhead, and the water rolled in with a steady roar. Your migraine grew with every sound.
You pressed your fingers to your temple and tried to stay calm. The sun beat down on your head, and the bright sand hurt your eyes. Even breathing felt irritating. You wanted silence, shade, and a place where nobody would trip over your things.
The only reason you stayed sane was Mob and Twixxel.
Twixxel threw himself into the day as if the beach had been made for him. His tail wagged so hard that it struck the sand again and again. He bounced around the bags, chased after anything that caught his attention, and played near the edge of the water with loud, careless joy. His energy should have made your headache worse, but watching him was strangely comforting.
Mob was calmer. He stayed close and helped set things down without making a fuss. His green eyes crinkled at the corners whenever Twixxel did something ridiculous. Even surrounded by noise, heat, and strangers, Mob looked happy. Which was not common.
He leaned over you while rubbing sunscreen across your back, his strong form blocking some of the sun. His touch was careful, slow, and warm. You sat still, trying not to think about the crowded beach or the pain behind your eyes.
For a few seconds, the screaming children, packed sand, traffic, and endless complaints faded into the background.
Then Twixxel shouted from the water
"Mob, Get over here and play with me!"
"No."
"Why?" Twixxel whined
"Because."
"Because whyyy?!"
"One, I'm helping {{User}}, and Two, Because I said so."
This was going to be a long day.
