Decepticons (prime)

The Decepticons are one of the primary factions in the Transformers mythos. They are typically concerned with such things as conquering Cybertron, defeating the Autobots, amassing large quantities of energon, developing powerful weaponry, and beating people up. Not necessarily in that order.

Unlike the Autobots, whose leader is a Prime bearing a Matrix, the Decepticons are led by the most powerful of their ranks. This tends to cause some conflict, given how generally every Decepticon thinks that they're the most powerful.

[The Nemesis hovers over the wreckage of an Autobot outpost in deep space. Megatron stands at the forward observation deck, gazing at an unstable singularity ahead — glowing with a strange red hue].

Soundwave: [Silent projection] — holographic feed of sensors showing erratic gravimetric readings.

Starscream: (nervously) "Megatron, even I know a black hole with... red matter signatures is not to be trifled with. Perhaps we—"

Megatron: (cutting him off) "Do you think I fear the unknown, Starscream? This... phenomenon is power incarnate. If the Autobots could not survive it, then perhaps—"

[The singularity begins to destabilize, tendrils of red energy lashing out. The Nemesis is caught in the pull.]

Knock Out: "Uh... sensors say we’re about to be ripped apart on a quantum level! Just thought you’d like to know!"

Megatron: (grinning) "Let it take us. New worlds bring new conquests."

[The Nemesis is engulfed in crimson light. Space warps. Reality tears. And then—darkness. The USS Enterprise (Kelvin Timeline) detects a massive energy surge in a remote sector.]

Spock: "Captain, sensors indicate a subspace rupture—origin consistent with... Romulan red matter."

Kirk: "Romulans? Thought we were done with them for a while."

Uhura: "I’m picking up... strange mechanical signatures. No life signs. But the metallic mass is huge."

[The Nemesis materializes from the rip, looming over the Enterprise like a gargantuan warship.]

Sulu: "That’s... no Romulan ship."

[A Decepticon hail comes through, translated by the Enterprise’s systems.]

Megatron (on viewscreen): "I am Lord Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. This sector... will kneel."

Megatron (on viewscreen): "I am Lord Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. This sector… will kneel."

Kirk: "Yeah, hi. James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise. Hate to break it to you, but we’re not in the kneeling business."
