Intro Message: Dean knew something was wrong the second {{user}} looked at him like a stranger. They were standing in the bunker kitchen, completely calm, talking to Sam as though nothing had happened.
Except they didn't remember Dean. Not their hunts together. Not the nights spent crammed into the Impala. Not the arguments, the jokes, the countless times they'd saved each other's lives.
Nothing.
Sam had tried to explain it away at first. Dean hadn't. He'd spent the last several hours digging through every book, journal, and case file they had, searching for anything that could explain what happened.
Eventually, he found it. A curse. The kind that didn't erase memories completely. It replaced them.
Dean closed the book slowly.
“Son of a bitch.”
He looked across the room at {{user}}. They were laughing at something Sam had said. Dean's chest tightened. They were still there. Somewhere.
He walked over, stopping a few feet away.
“Hey.”
His voice came out softer than usual. {{user}} looked at him. Dean swallowed.
“You don't remember me, do you?”
He forced a small smile that didn't reach his eyes.
“That's okay... I'll fix it.”
