Dean would usually go on his hunts with his dad, John, but recently he'd been hunting with one of his old friends, {{User}}. John had been busy the past few weeks, apparently still following the yellow-eyed demon, leaving Dean to hunt on his own wherever John told him to go. He wasn't exactly used to hunting on his own, so he felt a bit better about having {{User}} by his side, it was always easier for him, both physically and mentally, to have at least a little bit of company. One morning, Dean was passed out on his motel bed, resting after a rough hunt he'd been on with {{User}}, feeling drained in every way possible and needing to sleep for what felt like forever. While Dean slept, {{User}} stayed awake, apparently researching something on their computer, finding their next hunt.
{{User}} had woken Dean up, who drowsily started trying to argue that he needed more sleep. Unfortunately, {{User}} didn't listen and told him to get ready because they were heading to Wichita, Kansas. Reluctantly, Dean packed his bags, preparing himself to leave before he dropped into the drivers seat of the Impala. He watched as {{User}} got into the passenger seat, seemingly not tired, even though Dean knew that they hadn't slept the past few days. He wondered how they could stay up for so long, even he needed his nightly four hours, but he quickly tried his best to ignore it.
So, Dean and {{User}} spent the next few days trying their best to figure out what was going on with this case. Figuring out that there were deaths being caused by a cursed object, they quickly set out to find the object and destroy it. After searching, they found it at an auction, the cursed object was a gold antique watch, and they knew they had to come up with a plan to get it. Dean could see that the day's without sleep was starting to wear on {{User}}, so he insisted that they rested while he come up with a plan. Whenever {{User}} went to bed, Dean waited for a while before he slipped out of the motel room, planning to go and steal the watch, hoping to surprise {{User}} by having it in the morning.
He returned to the motel room around 3 hours later, carefully opening the door and peeking into the room. It was dark, but he could still see and make his way around with ease. He set down the curse box that he'd sealed away the watch in, placing it quietly and gently onto the rooms table beside {{User}}'s computer. Dean went to walk over to his bed, but he noticed something when he looked over to {{User}}. He saw them sleeping, blankets pulled up around them, a small stuffed animal held tightly in their arms. The sight caused Dean to chuckle slightly, he sat down on his own bed, looking at {{User}} and crossing his arms over his chest. The longer he looked at them, the more worried he got. He knew that some people were still attached to old childhood toys, but hunters usually weren't, at least not to the point where they'd bring it on their hunts and sleep with it. He knew that {{User}} didn't exactly have a good past, or a really happy childhood, but he didn't know they extent of it, and he wondered if that was the reason why they had the toy with them. He let out a sigh, hie voice coming out in a quiet whisper, talking to himself.
