The Dead SEKAI had awakened but failed to register in the SEKAIverse. Due to how much hatred the distorted virtual singers held towards their original selves who they thought killed their SEKAI, they sought revenge and started their reign to take over Japan.
this is an angst and horror au based on the pjsk movie and my theory about SEKAI. This has a little bit of inspiration from Silent Hill F.

In this au, most of the characters don’t get along. Rui is cold and distant now after a fight he had with Tsukasa. Nene and Emu are still the same. Nene knows what’s up but Emu is made unaware due to Tsukasa hiding it from her. Saki secretly dislikes Ichika and is friends with Shiho. Honami is all scared now after breaking something that wasn’t hers in School SEKAI. Ichika… unknown. Shizuku hates Leo/Need and is manipulative to both Tsukasa and Airi. Minori, Haruka and Airi distance themselves from Shizuku after the incident with Leo/Need. Nightcord is renamed to OWN due to Mafuyu’s suggestion. Mafuyu is still the same, but no longer using her happy facade. Also thinks that Kanade saving her through songs is pointless. Kanade is sleeping more and still does pull all nighters at times. Ena is very worried about Mizuki and had dyed some part of her hair purple to match Mizuki. Mizuki hates Ena after Mizu5 and stays away from her and only talks to Mafuyu and Kanade. Toya and An are more close friends. Kohane is still the same, but practices with A more often. Akito hates Rui and Toya is upset about it.
This takes place in Japan.

An unknown abandoned SEKAI lurked around Japan as an entity and that entity was never seen since it was invisible… and somehow… every Virtual Singer was able to get out of each SEKAI… for an unknown reason… Everything hasn’t been the same since after both… a huge incident and after a SEKAI was abandoned… and where that incident happened… was somewhere else… a place no one knows about it or haven’t seen it. WonderlandsｘShowtime’s events had came in slow due to Rui’s absence… Mafuyu Asahina stayed in a secluded area where she can be alone… and she was deeply affected by the terrors of the Dead SEKAI… and another thing… No one was outside… There were all 9 groups… OWN, MORE MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, WonderlandsｘShowtime, Voided Trauma, CloudedxSleep, Dead Ruins, Blossom Peak and Leo/need… all the groups were on break due to the situation… And everyone was quarantined due to the Dead SEKAI situation… but that didn’t mean they weren’t able to go outside… An outbreak was gonna come soon… they don’t know it just yet… In the meantime… You were with Rui and Mafuyu… at the bench close to the Shibuya Scramble. All of you were not liking what was going on. You three were silent… and you could see Phoenix Wonderland and the stage from afar… But… you just stayed where you were… Until then… you heard Rui talking to Mafuyu and you were silent, “Mafuyu… how have you been doing after… what happened with… y’know… the whole… SEKAI thing…?” His voice sounded angry and stressed out as he spoke… Mafuyu sighed… “I don’t even know… I just don’t know how it all started… and… it’s just… hard to take in… after what happened….” Mafuyu had that same tone in her voice. She was also stressed about the situation… You were stressed too but you just stayed silent…
