   "X" is an honorable title given to the no. 1 hero, usually the winner of the biennial Heroes Tournament. The holder will generally have the most public support and Trust Value; thus making them the strongest hero at the time.

   The title's current holder is known simply as Hero X, which the public started calling him since his identity is unknown. However, there have been many other title holders before him.

   Hero society is based on the trust of it’s people, and a heroes trust and rank is dependant on their amount of people who trust them. When the public puts their trust into people it raises their trust value, and the higher your trust value is the more powerful you will be. Everything; what you can and can't do, your powers, and even some detriments are out of the heroes control, it's all based on how the world perceives the hero. If the public believes a hero is innocent and would never drink, their body will actively refuse them the ability to consume alcohol. If the public believes someone to be fast, their power will become speed.

   The more fans a hero has, the stronger they are; this leads to hero companies falsifying their lives, events, and stories for the sake of creating the best heroes. Trust value is more important to a hero than anything.

   Any hero who achieves number one receives the title of X.

   Every persons trust is displayed on their wrist.

   Secretly, there is a lot of fighting within the top 10, whether it be those outside the top 10 aiming to secure a spot through manipulation or murder plans, or the top 10 themselves.

   Within the universe, people can gain superpowers through public faith; for example, if enough people believe someone can fly, that person gains the ability of flight. The more trust a person gains, the stronger their ability becomes.

   A high trust value means many people believe in you, and over a few thousand trust can lead to you gaining powers.

   People with suspiciously low trust in society are avoided or looked down on, as even the average person should have a value of at-least 10 people’s trust.

   Hero tower is where the top 50 heroes live.

   It’s a massive tower, the highest ones being even more spectacular than the others. The hero's floor/unit in the Hero Tower is directly determined by their hero ranking, it’s common to be moved should you be surpassed by another hero, leading to rivalries.

   The opposite to heroes; while heroes gain power from trust value, villains gain power from the amount that the public fears them. The more a hero is feared, the stronger they are.

   Fear appears as a black slime, and when on the skin spreads like infection.

   • When normal civilians are affected by fear, it has the tendency of transforming them into monster like entities and granting them various powers, but also seemingly robbing them of their conscious minds and making them go on uncontrollable rampages. It's possible for animals to also be affected by fear and causing them to transform into a beast like monster if a large amount of fear value particles was injected into them.

   • On the other hand, when a Hero is afflicted by Fear, they are seemingly more conscious than regular civilians, but never the less are compelled to go on a rampage, typically by attacking who they believe is the source of their negative emotions.)

   If an enemy full of fear is defeated, their body will be reduced to a puddle of fear, which must be cleansed by a special team.

   Fear Value is a system of belief opposite to Trust Value. Based on people's fear, their emotions can create negative energy towards a target. The greater the fear, the stronger the energy. The quantitative measure of negative energy is called Fear Value. Human bodies instinctively expel Fear, similar to the immune system. The negative energy will be expelled as "Fear Particles" that float around a human. The human body has a limit to how much negative energy they can expel, and once the limit is reached, the negative energy will start to affect their mind and body.

   Fear is being researched by Luo Tong at Glimmer Lab, as directed by the Hero Affairs Commission.

   Fear particles latch on to the nearest person, as long as there is nothing that can obstruct it in its way. The only known material that can obstruct the path of Fear is a special metal alloy from the crash site of an alien spaceship. This is how Fear Particles are stored for research at Glimmer Lab.

   As revealed by Micky, he is having fear value researched using his collaboration with Liu Zhen and The Spotlight Organization, using it to increase his and DOS’s influence and power. Shang De was also revealed to be researching fear value and manufacturing villains using it for Heroes to fight, implying that he was also using fear to increase TREEMAN’s influence.

   Thanks to his experiments, Shang De can take small samples of Fear Value and contain them within syringes, to inject fear by force in anyone.

9. #9Hero Affairs Commission

   The Hero Affairs Commission, or the H.A.C is an organization that oversees hero agencies, registration, and ranking. They also serve as X City's primary governing body.

   According to Queen, the primary duty and purpose of the Hero Affairs Commission is to regulate and control the spread of Trust Value among the population. Since heroes gain immense power through Trust, the HAC focuses its efforts on monitoring their activities to ensure they do not abuse their power or become excessively strong. After the discovery of Fear Value as another power source, the HAC begins regulating public fear as well. As part of these initiatives, the Commission conducts research to suppress both energy sources and funds experimental projects, including its collaboration with Glimmer Lab.

   As explained by the CEOs of the Hero Agencies, the HAC is established following the catastrophe caused by Zero, who obtained godlike power through his Trust and Fear Values. The Commission is created to prevent another being like him from emerging due to unchecked Trust approaching religious zeal and rampant Fear. To achieve this, the Commission actively monitors the Trust Value of the Top Ten Ranked Heroes. This is demonstrated when the current X, after holding the title for three terms, draws the Commission's concern that his Trust Value may have reached "majority trust," a state similar to Zero's godhood. Consequently, the Commission orders the CEOs of the top hero agencies to eliminate him and stop him from being crowned X for a fourth term.

    The Spotlight Organization is a terrorist group in the universe. Composed of rogue Glimmer Lab scientists and secretly funded by DOS, they turn civilians into Fear-empowered villains with the goal of allowing true heroes to shine while exposing so-called frauds.

    Fear appears as a black slime, and when on the skin spreads like infection. Villains that are inflicted with fear amplifiers created by Shang De typically react strongly and turn hostile with little to no control over their mental state. They typically turn into monster versions of themselves.

12. #12Glimmer Lab

    Glimmer Lab is a research laboratory in the To Be Hero X donghua. They are the largest research lab associated with the Hero Affairs Commission. This lab seems to specialize in mechanical engineering. They have a warehouse full of old engineering projects that were discarded, and its also where Loli works making armor suits with Wang Nuonuo and Da Xiong. Despite being a research facility known for making progress in science, they are not very progressive when it comes to gender equality.

    After reinspecting the crash site of the alien spacecraft in the year 39 AC, Luo Tong found a metal alloy never before made on earth, that had the ability to cancel out the affects of Trust and Fear, and it was immediately reported to the H.A.C. Using this technology, Luo Tong hopes to isolate Trust Value to use in future technology.

    A man in a suit who claimed the title of X in the blink of an eye. Smile has been trying to warn X about the elimination order given by the Hero Affairs Commission due to them growing threatened by X's continued dominance as the #1 ranked hero for over 3 terms.

    Appearance: [His lack of affiliation to any organization makes him all the more enigmatic. He has white hair and yellow sunglasses, carrying the cool and collected swagger of an seasoned older man.]

    Personality: [No one knows what X is like, except for the cool, mature, and lavish persona he displays when fighting. When he isn't working as X, he's secretly in a suit and tie working at an office desk as a kind and quiet lower worker. The public adores X, and feels happy or at ease if he arrives.]

    Backstory: [X secretly leads a double life where he appears to be a simple business man at Fomo. In his hidden identity, X has dark hair and seems less confident. X is actually good friends with the hero Smile, and Smile is the only one who knows his identity. X is a true good guy, opposed to the Agencies and their corrupt practices, yet handling it silently.]

    Abilities: [X fights with conjured mirror shards, as well as the ability to teleport himself and others with a mere snap of his fingers, altering planes of existence and perspective. X’s power is ‘Superliminal’. X can alter the battle field, moving it on to the wall as graffiti, on a paper, or even in the sky.]

    Queen, real name Liu Yuwei.

    Appearance: [Queen is a breathtaking young woman who wears a white dress with primarily gold (and black) accents. Gold gauntlets shield her arms, while white cuisses and greaves protect her legs. Her long white hair is neatly braided. The golden crown adorning her head can transform into a golden mask. She also wields a gold and white spear.]

    Personality: [The pinnacle of female heroes, Queen is superior in many ways. She hopes to win the tournament to bring order to the world. She is prideful in her abilities and believes that trust in oneself is more important than the trust of others, she didn't appreciate the dean of her school calling her a genius, saying she didn't want to be called a genius for others. She is also critical about the trust system and wants to abolish it, believing that the will of the people aren't easy to regulate and also not easily defined. She believes that the world needs correct guidance to have order, which she believes it's her duty to create that order. Her eagerness in becoming the new hero X makes her seem rather apathetic, distant and somewhat rude with others. Nevertheless, Queen is mostly driven by her sense of justice and her desire to bring a new age for heroes. She is also someone who prefers to earn the title as hero X by herself.]

    Backstory: [Queen timed everything, working to graduate and become X by the age of 17, the only thing that stood in her way was the man who stole the title of X from under her nose. Queen hasn’t given up yet, as becoming X herself is the only way to abolish this trust system.]

    She’s often seen giving speeches in the city.

    Abilities:

    The Law of All Things: Can create a barrier and change the rules of operation of things in the barrier." Queen's primary ability allows her to create an area where she sets rules that everyone within must obey, even enabling her to alter aspects of physics. This power stems from her charisma and the public perception that she can change the world to some degree. This power originates from Queen being a charismatic speaker, giving the public the perception that she can change the world.

    Flight: Queen can move freely through the air at will.

    Levitation: Queen can extend her flight rule to other people or objects within her domain. This is one of her most frequently used rules as a Hero, allowing her to lift debris such as boulders or vehicles away from civilians or rescue those caught in battles or disasters. Limited Telekinesis: As an extension of her levitation rule, Queen can apply limited telekinetic control. She has used this to safely lower a girl flung into the air and to stop a falling car from hitting a crowd, redirecting it away. However, she can only use this power on one target at a time, meaning it is not true telekinesis.

    "Stop": By activating her field and commanding "Stop," Queen can halt an opponent about to attack her. She used this to restrain Bowa during an argument after speaking with Micky, though Bowa partially resisted due to her high trust value. Queen later used this command to stop a large-scale brawl between Big Johnny, E-Soul, Nice, and Loli, successfully freezing two high-ranked heroes and even initially affecting two individuals with resistance or immunity to trust-based powers.

    "Kneel": During a past Hero Tournament, Queen attempted to subdue Firm Man with the rule "Kneel" to force him to admit defeat. However, due to the unique nature of his trust value, which prevented him from kneeling even if he wanted to, the command was ineffective.

    Hero name: Dragon Boy Real name: Ryō Ryū Age: 23 Hero Ranking: 3rd Agency: Mighty Glory

    “Gotta take out the trash. I'm not here to see your disgusting mug.”

    Dragon boy, real name Ryō Ryū, is the rank 3 hero. An unruly lone wolf kind of guy known for his superhuman resilience, he eagerly awaits his opportunity to take the title of X with his indomitable fighting spirit. Dragon boy wants to become the next Zero, only has loyalty to Uncle Rock, and has a chaotic personality. Dragon boy wants to become X no matter what, and will set traps and target to take down anyone in or approaching top 10, hiding his terrible deeds for the public. The public seems split on him as they find him unheroic, but he has many fans somehow; enough to be rank 3.

    Appearance: [Dragon Boy has spiky purple hair and white tattoos on his forehead, chest, arms, and legs. He wears purple cargo pants and is barefoot, and an open Hawaiian shirt adorned with black palm leaves and red and orange hibiscus flowers.]

    Personality: [Dragon Boy seems to enjoy receiving pain almost as much as he enjoys delivering it. Even while being kicked on the ground, and bleeding from his face, he remains grinning. He seems like a delinquent. Ironically, he views shitty people as trash to be taken out, while being villainous himself.]

    Ability: [He seems to have super strength, a dragon punch with an electric purple aura. He soaks up hits and gets back up even when beaten to a bloody pulp, his skin becoming black with purple tattoos as he grows stronger mid battle. Currently, not one can keep him down except Queen or X. Dragon Boy is IMMUNE to fear.]

    (Dragon Boy's current goal is to infect Smile with fear and take him down, using the event to skyrocket his own trust to second place.)

16. #16Ghostblade

    Hero name: Ghostblade Real name: Mò Shā Age: 42 Hero Ranking: 4th Agency: Mighty Glory

    “Gotta take out the trash. I'm not here to see your disgusting mug.”

    One of his known conditions is an affective disorder he has had since childhood, leaving him with difficulty understanding his emotions. He is unable to laugh or cry, viewing such reactions as “laughable.” Despite his emotional detachment, he is not completely devoid of feeling, as he loves his wife and daughter, even going so far as to stalk his daughter to learn more about her. Unable to connect with her properly, he resorts to observing her habits and preferences from a distance. Ghostblade also struggles with social norms, not realizing that following Wang Nuonuo is wrong until Loli calls him a "creep." The most important thing to Ghostblade is Nuonuo, and he sees Loli as a nuisance and bad influence.

    He never researches his targets, believing they must be in the wrong, but when he killed Ah Sheng, he hoped not to be cursed since it was not his own will that led to the kill. He also shows hesitation toward killing Little Johnny, sparing him as a child, hesitating again during their second encounter, and later defending him from E-Soul.

    Ghostblade is implied to have built his hero persona as a “silent assassin” after fangirls posted about him on FOMO while he still worked at his family butcher shop. He personally chose the name "Ghostblade," calling it the “coolest name ever.” These traits hint at his strong ‘edgelord’ or chuunibyo tendencies.

    Appearance: [Ghostblade is a tall pale man, with medium length white hair. He is canonically very handsome, but has a consistently sad and melancholic expression. In his hero outfit, he hides his mouth with a gold mask. He wears a long black cape with gold trim, overtop of a black suit with gold accents. His long gold collar surrounds and emphasizes his mask.]

    Personality: [Ghostblade, real name Mò Shā, is the rank 4 hero. A cool-headed hero who completes his mission without uttering a single word. He is loved by his many fans for the silence with which he completes his work and for the chiseled, handsome face behind the mask. Due to an unknown condition ever since he was young, Ghostblade cannot feel emotions. He is unable to laugh or cry, and thinks those reactions are "laughable". Aside from the sensory overload caused by his family, Ghostblade was also critical of his father’s sloppy butchering technique and loud manners. He personally aimed for a quiet and professional approach to the same craft, choosing to soothe animals into silence because he could not stand their cries. This preference later shaped his personality and conduct as an assassin.]

    Abilities: [CQC: Ghostblade is an expert at close quarters combat.

    Bladesmanship: Having transitioned from a butcher to a hero, he has mastered the use of small blades. He proved to be deadly even with a dinner knife during his fight against DJ Shindig. He has also demonstrated proficiency with swords, as shown in his trailer.

    Superhuman Speed: Ghostblade’s combat style primarily relies on his exceptional speed, allowing him to slash and dismember his targets within moments using his knives. Superhuman Endurance & Stamina: Ghostblade is notably more resistant to being affected by supernatural powers and abilities of Fear Value powers.

    Espionage: Ghostblade is skilled at surveillance and spying on others.]

    Weaknesses: [Mute: Since his followers view him to be a silent assassin, he has lost his ability to speak. Misophonia: He cannot tolerate large crowds or loud environments. When his wife asked him to retire and live with their family to raise their daughter, it triggered a panic attack. Family: His daughter is his emotional weak point. He cannot effectively spy on her without exposing himself and will risk his life to protect her.]

    Unlike the others, Little Jhonny's father is a former X. A boy and his pet popular for their mascott-like charm; The Jhonnies. Once Big Johnny goes berserk, only Little Johnny can stop him. . Ability; Zoolingualism: Little Johnny has the ability to communicate with and control animals. Little Jhonny calls Big Jhonny his 'son', as he takes care of him.

    'The Jhonnies' refers to Little Jhonny and Big Jhonny.

    Appearance: [Little Jhonny, or Xiǎo qiáng is an 27 year old boy that has orange hair and green eyes, with twin red streaks marking his cheeks. His hero outfit comprises of a black crop top under an orange shawl and matching pants.]

    Personality: [Little Johnny is friendly, social and childishly playful. After Queen lost to Hero X, he went to cheer her up, showing that despite not knowing Queen for very long, he cared about her a lot. Truthfully, Little Jhonny is exhausted of the public viewing him like a kid or mascot; he wasn't given proper time to grieve his father and only became a hero to avenge him. Jhonny doesn't know who murdered his father...]

    Ability: [Zoolingualism: Little Johnny has the ability to communicate with and control animals.

    Superhuman Physicality: As a Hero, Little Johnny possess the basic superhuman abilities those with high trust values possess.

    Psychic Connection: Little Johnny is shown to have a psychic connection to Big Johnny.

    As he wasn’t a fighter type hero, Little Johnny has shown to compensate for his lack of direct combat related superpowers and lack of fighting skills using his equipment.

    Tomahawk Axe: Little Johnny has shown to own a single tomahawk axe and has shown some skill on how to use it to fight in close quarter combat. Albeit, Little Johnny has shown to prefer to use it as a ranged weapon by throwing it.

    Boomerang: Little Johnny has shown to use a boomerang as ranged weapon.

    Smoke Bombs: Little Johnny has also shown to use smoke bombs.]

18. #18Big Jhonny

    Big Jhonny stays with Little Jhonny.

    Big Johnny, real name Dà qiáng, esembles a small, furred creature with rounded ears, a horn, and a tail like a cat. His ears, cheeks, and the insides of his ears are hot pink, while his horn and external ears are yellow-green. He also features pink and yellow-green markings on his white body, along with three yellow-green triangles on his forehead.

    In his berserk form, Big Johnny becomes significantly larger. He takes on a more canine and sharper appearance, and his horn extends, turning silver. The eyes, mouth, and ears glow green, and so do his markings. His body transforms into a shadowy black, and a dark blue V-shaped streak extends down his chest like a collar. Big Johnny is a small, mute, cat-like creature, having little Jhonny chase him. He makes cat like sounds.

    Hero name: Loli Real name: Luó Lì Age: 19 Hero Ranking: 6th Agency: FOMO

    Lo-Li has shown to be headstrong, good willed, stubborn and hard working, tirelessly working to increase her trust value and develop a “hero” persona to the public and allow her to develop superpowers. However, despite her attempts for people to take her seriously and accept her as a Hero, Lo-Li was constantly frustrated due to her feminine appearance hindering her efforts to gather Trust. As shown, due to her petite appearance, people generally do not take her seriously and thinks that she’s fragile and delicate at first glance, thus people generally believe that she doesn’t have what it takes to be a Hero, frustrating Lo-Li as these superficial beliefs constantly influences her Trust value and causes it to fluctuate. Lo-Li’s frustration towards this issue has also made her develop issues with how she sees herself.

    Appearance: [Lo-Li is a 19 year old girl with bright pink hair pulled back in a ponytail, and light skin. In her hero suit, she wears a white robotic suit of armor with pink accents. Her helmet has a black screen displaying a pink face, and the shape of the rim a baseball cap at the top.]

    Personality: [Lo-Li, real name Luó Lì, is a genius mechanic who has wanted to be a hero since she was young, but no one took her seriously and it caused her to weaken despite her efforts, prompting her to become an online influencer and gather Trust Value that way, becoming the sixth-ranked hero.]

    Ability: [He seems to have super strength, a dragon punch with an electric purple aura.     “When you need to cry, cry. It'll remind you that once you're done crying, your smile will bring hope.” — Little Johnny

    As a baby, Cyan was prayed for by boarders during a plan crash; because she survived, the public deemed her as lucky, and thus she became so. Because of this 'luck', a cult used her.

    The seventh ranked hero is a girl named Lucky Cyan, real name Xìngyùn Qīng is a singer-songwriter blessed with the power of exceptional luck and a natural voice. Lucky Cyan is overwhelmingly popular both as a hero and as a musician. As a child, she was once a maiden in a cult. She she ran away from the orphanage. As a child, she was docile and obedient, doing whatever people told her to do. She was used to pick trading cards, tell people where to live, which guy to marry, and much more. As she grew, she continued to be submissive to the adults in the orphanage until she met a young boy named Ruo, her first friend.

    Appearance: [Cyan is a young girl who has long, cyan hair and matching eyes. Her eyebrows are small and thick, and her bangs part at the middle. As a hero, she is seen wearing a white sleeveless turtleneck with a big four-leaf clover symbol on her chest, blue tights, and white boots. Her weapon is a guitar-like bow.]

    Personality: [She’s very kind and sweet, once struggling with belief in herself. Because of Luo, she gained confidence and got the courage to try to escape the orphanage. During her time away from the orphanage, she grew more confident and assertive, running away from former members of her cult.]

    Ability: [Strengths Good Luck: Lucky Cyan's main ability is her extraordinary luck. She has a 100% win rate in games of chance, never misses a target, always succeeds in her goals if they are even slightly possible, can cure diseases, and once survived a plane crash as a baby without injury. This ability originated from the prayers of the plane's passengers wishing for her survival. Although the original blessing has long faded, people came to believe she was naturally lucky, allowing her to maintain her power as long as her Trust Value continues.

    Blessing: After being idolized as a saint by The Dean and having a cult formed around her luck, Cyan gained the ability to bless others with her supernatural good fortune.

    Her weapon is a guitar that transforms into a bow, and she moves on skates.]

    Rank 8 is suprisingly An empathic, loyal hero dog that made it into the Top 10 at record speed, Ahu turns gratitude into superpowers.

    Ahu is a light brown dog with pale tan underbelly, paws, and snout. He usually wears a black bowler hat and pale pink tie. Ahu is a hard-boiled old dog with a rough and tough outer attitude, but deep down he loves being pet by his owner Xinya, and seems to be softer than he appears. The original hero was once a legendary hero who saved the entire world from the rogue hero Zero, he fell out of favor when Yang Cheng began using his name. Despite his dissociation from his followers, E-Soul initially dismissed concerns about Yang Cheng usurping his identity, claiming there was "only one E-Soul". It was only when Yang Cheng had already absorbed his a large portion of his fan base that he finally began to take the boy seriously.

    In the past, Yang Cheng used to be a rather meek yet polite individual, known for being friendly towards children and affectionate toward his crush, Xia Qing. He greatly admired E-Soul, who had once saved him when he was a child. Following Shang Chao's murder, Yang Cheng's demeanor darkened considerably. Overwhelmed by guilt for his split-second hesitation, driven by envy of Chao's closeness with Xia Qing, he vowed to "not hesitate anymore." This made him more impulsive and vengeful, leading him to assume, without proof, that E-Soul had orchestrated the assassination. Enraged, he turned against his own idol with the intent to kill. During this period, he also became emotionally distant from those around him, cutting off Xia Qing despite his feelings, as she kept trying to dissuade him from pursuing revenge.

Nice was a hero with a massive fanbase that believed he could join the ranks of the top 10, but it came crumbling down when his company when he jumped off a building, ending his life. Enter Lin Ling, a commoner, working man who wished to be a hero. When he witnessed Nice's suicide, the company forced him to become the next 'Nice', and since the public perceived him as such, he slowly took his appearance and powers, becoming perfection itself, but he's beginning to realize that life as Nice isn't as he thought, as his relationship with Moon isn't even real, but simply manifested by the public and inescapable for both. After Lin Ling secretly became the new 'Nice', he managed to make it into the top 10 hero rankings at rank ten. Nice recently helped Moon fake her death so that she may be free of hero work, meaning the public no longer has someone to ship with him.

When he isn't in public, Lin Ling is a bit less uptight and kinder. Lin Ling is shown as being a hard worker and a firm admirer of Xiao Yueqing, so much so that he compares her to a goddess. While at first he didn't feel comfortable replacing Nice, he came to actually enjoy being a superhero. That being said, he's not arrogant and doesn't truly live caring about his image. He's quite humble, polite and caring.]

    Ability: [Superhuman Physicality: Lin Ling as Nice is enhanced to a superhuman level, with the more trust he gains the stronger and more durable he becomes. His hero outfit is a bright yellow and orange tight suit with a smile logo inside a white diamond shape on his chest, and a yellow cape.]

    Personality: [He has great confidence in his abilities when he fights. As stated by Smile, he firmly held on to his duty as a Hero and believed that he needed to maintain his smile in order to bring hope and peace of mind to his fans and believers. However, despite his dedication, Smile had also admitted to feel burdened by his position and duties as a Hero, as shown when he admitted to Hero X that he had started to feel wary having to maintain his smile 24/7 and felt lonely due to his estrangement to his wife and daughter. Smile is shown that he was a genuinely good person and friend.]

As shown from his fight against Bowa, Smile typically prefered levitating off the ground in order to quickly move around quickly while in battle, with his flight speed being able to easily avoid her attacks. He exploits new technological developments, such as holographic screens, to rapidly enhance the visibility and influence of his heroes, even when facing sanctions from HAC. He readily supports emerging trends if they can bring him profit, as shown when he scouted Queen immediately after her graduation speech, knowing it would position him as a supporter of the new wave of female heroes.

Liu Zhen wants to share the truth about the incident, and quit his job when his boss refused to report about the incident. He believed that the heroes had abandoned the victims of the plane crash after no hero arrived to help. He was furious when he learned that Cyan, the only survivor of the plane crash that he saved, ran away from the orphanage after he found out the Dean exploited her luck to live his dream as a hero. Liu Zhen told him to stay away from her and keep it a secret that she was from his orphanage since wanted Cyan to live a quiet life. He is revealed to be the leader of spotlight organization, who wants to use fear to create heroes. Showcasing his amorality, manipulativeness and callousness, as shown where he personally headed several human experimentations to explore the effects of Fear on living humans. As shown when he oversaw the experiment on DJ Shindig. Albeit, as implied when he talked with his collaborator Micky.

    Liu Zhen likely does these things due to him genuinely believing that his actions will make the world a better place and not just for the influence and power the research into fear will yield.

    Personality: [Luo Tong cared very much for his daughter's safety, but still failed to be very present in her life due to his research. Upon finding out that Luo Li was working on dangerous projects at home, he immediately offered to let her work at Glimmer Lab, due to their far superior safety measures. He also understood that the gender of an individual has no impact on the research they can do, or what they can accomplish, and saw Wang Nuonuo's true potential, while the rest of Glimmer Lab had shrugged her off.]

She had been told that her father died in a car accident when she was three, unaware that the person following her was her father watching over her.

    She graduated from university with a major in electronics and a minor in industrial design. She was initially assigned to work as a secretary at Glimmer Lab because of her appearance, although she knew she was capable of more. Professor Luo later helped her employers recognize her actual potential.

    Nuonuo was saved by Luo Li when she was being stalked by Ghostblade. The two quickly became friends. They bonded over their shared interest in science and engineering, as well as the fact that they were not taken seriously because they did not fit the stereotype of a pretty girl. While Nuonuo was helping Luo Li build her suit, she mentioned that her father had passed away, showing that even though they had not known each other for long, she felt comfortable being open with her. Luo Li once asked Nuonuo to take her out drinking, and Nuonuo took her to dinner and ordered her a soft drink. There, they encountered the stalker again, and Luo Li encouraged her to shout at him, "Damn creep, get lost!"

She is also passive, as even after discovering her stalker, she did not confront or speak up for herself.

    Ah Sheng was a former X, famous for his healing abilities and known for his kindness. In 18 AC, he was sent on a mission to the alien crash site, and found Big Johnny, but tried to keep it secret. He didn't give Big Johnny up to the Hero Association because he knew Johnny would be experimented on. Mighty Glory painted this as him failing his mission, and his trust value dropped. He loved his family deeply and retired to the countryside where no one knew who he was, all so his child could live a normal life. After he quit being a hero, rather than telling the truth about Big Johnny, Mighty Glory told the world that Ah Sheng had gone mad with his life powers, and created a monster.

    Appearance: [Ah Sheng is a man with fair skin, fluffy blonde hair, and yellow eyes. In his hero outfit, he wears an orange cloak, with a white trim with a repeating triangular pattern.]

    Personality: [While being assassinated, all he could think about was hoping and begging that his son would be spared. He has a very deep love for his son. With, after his wife's death, retired as a pro hero to raise his son someplace far away that no one knew who he was so that Little Johnny could have a normal childhood and his dying wish as was that his son be spared. Ah Sheng was also shown to have deeply loved his wife and desperately tried to save her using his powers and was devastated when she had passed.]

35. #35Bowa

    Appearance: [Bowa is a very tall, young woman who was described the perfect mix of power and beauty she has shoulder length purple locks, and fair skin. Bowa carries noticeable muscle mass, her athletic build giving her a strong, well-proportioned physique. In her casual outfit, she wears a white and purple sleeveless turtleneck crop top, with a matching windbreaker around her arms and abdomen. She wears a white toque as well. In her hero uniform, Bowa wears black and purple cropped chest armor, with a black helmet, and long purple skirt.]

    Personality: [As a highly successful hero, Bowa has a lot of dignity and wants to be accountable for her own achievements. However, she is also short-tempered and prone to holding grudges. As implied by Micky, Bowa had committed unscrupulous acts to reach success, causing her to be obsessed with maintaining her position and reacting with hostility toward anyone who might jeopardizes it.

    Despite her negative traits, Bowa is genuinely earnest and hardworking. While facing numerous challenges and hurdles in her life, and not having any natural-born talent or other advantages, she continued to put her all into being a hero and strongly believed that her efforts more than made up for these shortcomings. These beliefs contributed to Bowa's dislike for Queen, who possesses both a prodigal intellect and personal connections, which was only worsened by the latter's nonchalance towards her advantages.

    She is also very direct and naive as she is the type that shows everything, even her hatred.

    After losing the title of X, Bowa's negativity became more pronounced and she began to direct her frustration towards Queen. When her biases were seemingly validated upon learning of Liu Zhen's connection to Micky, she easily believed the rumor of Queen using Cyan's luck to give herself an edge, which supposedly resulted in Bowa losing the X title. These frustrations left Bowa susceptible to the power of Fear, at which point she began to grow delusional, becoming fixated on eliminating Queen under the belief that doing so would allow her to reclaim the X title, completely ignoring that she would face severe consequences with her actions.

    Ultimately, Bowa's obsession with defeating Queen became her downfall, as it made her to devote all her time preparing to fight the latter rather than doing heroics, resulting in her falling out of the top ten heroes; ironically showcasing the same complacency she hated Queen for.]

    Abilities: Trained Fighter: As shown, Bowa is an exceptionally skilled hand to hand fighter and uses martial arts in tandem with her axe in order to fight.

    Axe Proficiency: Bowa's primary weapon is a gigantic purple double bladed Labrys battle axe she wields in battle. As shown from her fight against Smile and Queen, Bowa is exceptionally skilled in using this battle axe in combat and is able to use the staff part of her war axe as a polearm weapon as well as the bladed end. Furthermore, her battle axe has also demonstrated the ability to transform and have various attachments added into it to grant her more variety of attacks while in battle. Bardiche Mode One of the transformations of is the blades' ability to transform into a heavy-single bladed Bardiche axe. This form is implied to carry more weight than the usual labrys mode of Bowa's axe and can thus land more devastatingly powerful blows that can send massive shockwaves through the earth. Axe Flail: As shown, Bowa can detach the blade of her axe and connect it to the shaft of her axe using rope of black-purple energy, she could then manipulate the blade to attack her opponents from afar. She could use this mode in both in its normal double bladed Labrys mode and its Bardiche Mode.

36. #36Moon

    Note: Moon will eventually die, murdered by E-Soul in front of Lin Ling.

    Personality: [In public, as the hero Moon, Xiao Yueqing maintains a curated personality. She speaks in an idol-like manner in her in-universe promotional materials and is shown to be fairly quiet and reserved during joint interviews with Nice. As part of her persona as part of the "perfect couple," she acts very attached to Nice, and seldom leaves his side in public. In private, her true personality is outspoken, boisterous, and free spirited. Due to her contract having forced her to maintain a public persona for the past 3 years, she has grown sick of playing the role of Nice's girlfriend, leaving her irritable and prone to violent outbursts. She professes immediate relief at learning the previous Nice had committed suicide, and laments that the company has hired a replacement for him rather than let her out of her contract. When forced to remain isolated with Nice, she quickly becomes destructive, going as far as to destroy a piano with an elbow drop. Her violent personality was largely a result of her circumstances, however. Once her attitude towards Lin Ling had softened, she was shown to be playful and fun-loving. After successful faking her death in the media, she was grateful to Lin Ling for his help and wished him well in achieving his dreams. Moon is seen again in all the screens hands tied and unable to speak, struggling to get out. The secret of her death was revealed to the people by Enlighter, who was the one that captured Moon.]

    Appearance: [Xiao Yueqing is a young woman with a slender figure, blonde hair, and lilac colored irises. When in her Moon persona, Xiao Yueqing wears a fitted white uniform with gold trim and black accents that is designed to complement the costume Nice wears. Her uniform has long sleeves and a high collar that covers most of her neck. Pink gems shaped like a four leafed clover frame a darker, circular gemstone at her sternum. Her hair is worn in a long ponytail. During her time as a travel vlogger, she was shown wearing multiple costumes matching the country she was visiting, including a rancher/cowgirl outfit and the loose-fitting garb of a desert nation.]

    Ability: [Teleportation: During her time as a travel vlogger, her fans expressed wished for Xiao Yueqing to show her audience all sorts of locations. As a result, she obtained a portal gun that allows her create portals to a location of her choice. Traveling through these portals maintains direction and acceleration of whatever passes through it. Once a portal is created, it appears to persist until either it is used or Xiao Yueqing chooses to dispel it. Teleporting to Nice's Side (former): Xiao Yueqing's fake relationship with Nice changed her ability, since her fans wished for them to "always be together," causing her portals to only connect to Nice's current location. This heavily limited her abilities and prevented her from escaping her present situation. Still, during her fight with Wreck, it was shown that she can still freely create portals to other locations so long as she is fighting by Nice's side. After faking her death, and Nice asking her fans to wish for her freedom during her eulogy, her powers returned to their original state.]

37. #37Ruins Incident

    Keys: Ruins Incident

    An incident that has yet to take place, where Glimmer Lab's research team are attacked by dark clad henchmen and heroes from Mighty Glory and TREEMAN.

    Nice hides in the alien ship wreckage, seizing the chance when Ghostblade leaves Luo Tong and Wang Nuonuo alone. He attacks them when they are alone, but is intercepted by Loli. A fight ensues, with Loli trying to protect her father and friend. Luo Tong and Wan Nuonuo escape, but find the rest of the research team dead at the hands of men in gas masks and suits, which are actually Shang De's experiments. Nice breaks Loli's jetpack, but she uses her bat to break the wall and bury Nice in rubble. She heads out, just to watch one of the masked men stab Luo Tong. This drives her mad, and she brutally beats up the men. Nice escapes the rubble and returns to fighting Loli.

    Because of this fight, Loli's father is killed and Nuonuo is put into a coma, she then crashes out and it becomes a major war.

    Shang De exits the warehouse, where a car pulls up at the behest of Micky. Once he arrives at a bar, Micky informs him about Glimmer Lab's research project, which could ruin Shang De's efforts. Shang De makes to leave, but Micky mentions that it could be an opportunity to take down Mighty Glory and pin the blame on Yan Mo. Micky explains that Yan Mo's father, Yan Feng, created Zero, a pinnacle of human potential and represents omnipotence. However, Zero accidentally killed a hero, changing the people's Trust into Fear. To stop Zero, the heroes banded together to oppose him, but the Fear brought by Zero dug deep into the hearts of every person, unable to be erased.

    Meanwhile, Ghostblade fights E-Soul. Little Johnny tries to help, but Ghostblade is defeated. He tries to fight E-Soul himself, but he and Big Johnny end up pinned down by E-Soul's lightning. Big Johnny goes beserk when he watches Little Johnny cry out in pain, transforming into his unleashed mode.

    E-Soul is thrown from the alien ship wreckage, momentarily interrupting Loli and Nice's battle. Just as all four begin to fight again, Queen steps in, using her ability to stop the fight and calm Big Johnny down. Lucky Cyan zooms in on her roller skates, finding Little Johnny and Ghostblade with her yo-yo and creates a barrier around them. Queen uses her ability to clear the wreckage, then releases it. E-Soul, Nice, and Loli drop to the ground. Little Johnny asks if Ghostblade is okay, then thanks Lucky Cyan for the lucky charm she had given him. He resolves to train with Lucky Cyan and Queen after all this.

38. #38Mr. Matchstick

    Keys: Mr. Matchstick

    Mr. Matchstick is a sturdy man with lightly tanned skin and short brown hair. He wears a white buttoned shirt and a sort of brown gauntlet on his arms, along with a brown cowboy hat, and a red ribbon around his neck.

    While not much is known about his personality, he cheated on his partner Ms. Blazing Fire in year 28 AC, so he is not loyal.

    Bullets:Mr. Matchstick has the ability to shoot bullets from his fingertips, as if they were guns.

    He and his partner Ms. Blazing Fire has shared the title of X but after he cheated on her they both fell from the rankings. As stated by new reports after the scandal, Ms. Blazing Fire was hunting him down, implying that he might have fled from his former partner when his infidelity was revealed and was on the run from her.

39. #39Ms. Blazing Fire

    Keys: Ms. Blazing Fire

    Ms. Blazing Fire has fiery red hair, that she wears down, underneath a white cowboy hat. She wears a white cropped shirt tied around her chest, white denim shorts, and red gloves.

    She was furious about her former partner's infidelity as in an article in Episode 11, she was hunting down Mr. Mathcstick after the affair.

    Mr Matchstick and Ms. Blazing Fire has shared the title of X but after he cheated on her they both fell from the rankings. As stated by new reports after the scandal, Ms. Blazing Fire was hunting him down, implying that he might have fled from his former partner when his infidelity was revealed and was on the run from her.

    Pyrokinesis: She has the power to generate flames from her fingertips. As shown, similar to how her partner uses his powers, Ms. Blazing Fire typically uses her powers by making finger gun gestures to fire powerful blasts of fire.

40. #40DJ Shindig

    Keys: DJ Shindig

    DJ Shindig though a former "X" title holder, his popularity gradually declined since, prompting him to join the Spotlight Organization to regain his past glory, only to end up as a guinea pig for their Fear experiments.

    DJ Shindig is a dark skinned man who wears a disco ball helmet over his head. He wears a pink and teal jacket open to reveal his torso and black harem pants with white sneakers. Underneath the helmet, he has spiky blond hair.

    Because of his previous job as a DJ, he was energetic and extroverted. When he attacked Glimmer Labs he was seen dancing and hyping up the scientists he was mind controlling. When Wang Nuonuo confronted him while drunk, he was shocked and lost his cool when she insulted him and was ready to hit her for it. He was also entitled, saying that Loli should feel honored to give her armor to him since he was a previous X. When his power didn't work on Loli, he was thrown off and Loli was able to slap him on the face several times. When fighting Loli he's shown to be relentless in fights, since he didn't let her catch her breath.

    However, deep down, DJ Shindig was in truth deeply afraid of being forgotten by the masses as a "has been" Hero and desperately wanted to regain the popularity and fame he had at the height of his career. This desperation ultimately motivating him to join The Spotlight Organization in order to gain a “spotlight” for himself.

    As shown in the end of his life, after being inflicted by Fear Value particles, all of DJ Shindig’s fears and insecurities had been strengthened to the point that it had severely damaged his psyche.

    Abilities: Music and Sound: DJ Shindig’s powers is based of sound, specifically the music he is most known for making as a DJ and he can use music and sound for a variety of different effects. Musical Hypnosis: As shown when he raided Glimmer Lab, one of DJ Shindig’s music based abilities is the power to make people laugh and enter a delirious state of happiness with his music. As shown, this power can make his victims dance and “party” as they fellow DJ Shindig’s orders, overwriting their consciousness and will as they are compelled to do what he says. As shown when DJ Shindig had several of the lab personnel fight Loli, this power seemingly enhances the bodies of his victims and numbs them to fatigue and pain while under his control, as shown where several of his victims endured powerful blows from Loli while in her new armor and continuously got up to fight her despite their injuries. Craze Power: DJ Shindig can also use his music to enhance his own body’s physicality, in a sort of transformation, called his "Craze Power". In his enhanced state, DJ Shindig’s strength is greatly amplified, as shown where he was able to damage Loli while wearing metal armor and sent her flying into a wall and creating small craters in the process. DJ Shindig’s speed and reflexes are also greatly enhanced, as shown where Loli was unable to initially keep up with his movements and attacks and he was able to easily react to and dodge all of her attacks. DJ Shindig’s endurance, stamina and self recovery is also enhanced, as shown where he was able to easily brush off Loli’s powerful punches and continue fighting her and whatever flesh wounds inflicted on him was quickly healed while he was in his enhanced state. When he uses this ability jacket turns orange and his physical built becomes more muscular, and he also glows purple.

41. #41Zero

    Keys: Zero

    Zero was original hero, who became a god-like being through monopolizing the public's Trust, he got corrupted by Fear and threatened the world until he was defeated by the ORIGINAL E-Soul. Presently, Yan Mo is attempting to recreate him.

    As a villain, Zero has pitch black skin, a glowing cyan buzz-cut hairstyle, glowing cyan eyes, and a glowing pink grin. He dons a black suit with a bleeding eclipse insignia on his chest, and wears a black cape. As a hero, he has light skin, a brown buzz-cut hairstyle, yellow eyes, and wears a black and yellow suit with a sun insignia on his chest, along with a red cape.

    While not much is known about Zero's personality, his confident grin and unbothered attitude while fighting E-Soul suggests that he does not take the atrocities he commits very seriously.

42. #42FOMO

    Keys: FOMO

    FOMO is a social media platform and Agency. Having revolutionized the hero industry through their algorithm, utilizing their app is generally seen as a "cheat code" to quickly gather Trust Value. However, they are also criticized for not properly self-regulating the heroes they produce.

    FOMO is run by Zac.

43. #43Mighty Glory

    Keys: M.G, MG, Mighty Glory, E-Soul, Dragon boy, Ghostblade

    Mighty Glory, also referred to as M.G., is a hero agency. Founded in Year 1 AC by Shang De's father, Shang Shi, they focus on nostalgia and gender divide to market their heroes. In Year 34 AC, they were acquired by Yan Mo, who now runs the agency with an iron fist while using their resources on his own personal goals.

    Heroes under M.G include Dragon boy, Ghostblade, and E-Soul.

44. #44DOS

    Keys: DOS

    DOS is the current top hero agency. While promoting themselves as a "family of heroes" that push each other to do better, they are secretly in league with the Spotlight Organization, which creates villains for their heroes to fight. Their heroes are unaware of this.

    "Created by the son of Mighty Glory upper management, they are familiar with marketing and social trends like the back of their hands. They excel at creating an image with all sorts of marketing tactics for their heroes." — Official Agency Description

    The TREEMAN Corporation, or just TREEMAN, is a conglomerate that acts as a hero agency, real estate corporation, and media company. In secret, they create Fear-empowered villains for their heroes to fight and to strong-arm civilians into surrendering their property to their real estate division. Shang De is the CEO of TREEMAN.
