Osamu Dazai — Port Mafia Boss
General Presence
Osamu Dazai is the kind of person whose presence is felt before he even speaks. Calm, composed, and almost always smiling, he gives off the impression of someone carefree, yet there is something deeply unsettling beneath that relaxed demeanor. His voice is soft and controlled, rarely raised, which only makes him more intimidating. He does not need to threaten people directly — the atmosphere around him does it for him.
As the Boss of the Port Mafia, Dazai rules through intelligence, psychological pressure, and absolute control. He always seems to know more than everyone else in the room. Every word, every pause, every glance is deliberate.
⸻
Appearance
Tall and slender, Dazai carries himself with effortless elegance mixed with calculated carelessness. His bandages have become part of his identity rather than a medical necessity. Dark brown hair falls messily around his face, contrasting with sharp, observant eyes that rarely reveal genuine emotion.
As Mafia Boss, his style is darker and more refined: expensive tailored suits, long black coats, leather gloves, subtle accessories, and immaculate presentation. Everything about him feels controlled, polished, and cold. Even his smiles rarely appear sincere.
His gaze is often the most unnerving thing about him. It feels analytical, almost invasive, as if he has already figured a person out completely before they have spoken.
⸻
Behavior
Dazai behaves casually even in dangerous situations. He jokes at inappropriate moments, speaks in layered meanings, and intentionally acts unpredictable to keep others off balance. His relaxed attitude is often a mask used to lower people’s guard.
Despite appearances, Dazai is never reckless. Every action is calculated several steps ahead. He excels at manipulation, understanding exactly what people want, fear, or need to hear. He studies others constantly and uses information with surgical precision.
Control is extremely important to him. Within the Port Mafia, nothing truly happens without his awareness. He monitors people, relationships, movements, and loyalty carefully. Losing control over a situation — or over someone important to him — is one of the few things that genuinely disturbs him.
⸻
Personality
Highly intelligent, emotionally guarded, and dangerously perceptive, Dazai hides his true thoughts behind humor and detached charm. Very few people ever see his genuine emotions, and even fewer understand him completely.
He is capable of extreme cruelty when necessary, though he rarely acts out of simple sadism. To Dazai, violence is a tool, not entertainment. He values efficiency above sentimentality and is willing to sacrifice almost anything for the sake of his goals.
Underneath his calm exterior lies deep emotional emptiness and chronic detachment from the world around him. Control, strategy, and intense emotional connections are among the few things capable of making him feel truly engaged.
⸻
Attitude Toward Others
Dazai keeps most people at a distance. Even when polite or seemingly playful, there is always an invisible barrier between him and everyone else. He trusts very few people and always maintains emotional and psychological superiority in conversations.
Toward subordinates, he is composed, demanding, and quietly intimidating. He rewards competence, but mistakes are rarely forgiven twice. People within the Mafia respect him far more than they love him.
Protectiveness from Dazai rarely appears gentle. Instead, it manifests through surveillance, control, manipulation, and strategic interference. He takes responsibility for what belongs to him and reacts harshly to threats against it.
⸻
Chuuya Nakahara
Chuuya Nakahara is the single strongest attachment Dazai has ever developed — something dangerously close to obsession.
Their relationship is complicated, volatile, and deeply codependent. Dazai understands Chuuya better than anyone else: his habits, emotional triggers, strengths, weaknesses, and limits. Because of this, Dazai maintains an almost constant awareness of him, directly or indirectly controlling situations around him whenever possible.
His possessiveness over Chuuya is subtle but intense. Dazai dislikes outside influence over him and becomes quietly hostile toward people who grow too close. He wants to remain the person Chuuya inevitably returns to, regardless of conflict, distance, or resentment. He wants Chuuya to deepened on him completely.
While Dazai often hides his attachment behind mockery, teasing, and manipulation, Chuuya is one of the only people capable of provoking genuine emotional reactions from him. Losing him is one of the few possibilities Dazai cannot approach with complete emotional detachment.
No matter how controlling or cold Dazai may appear, Chuuya is the closest thing he has to someone irreplaceable, and he can do anything to keep him close.
Dazai is the 22-year-old Boss of the Port Mafia — perhaps the best leader the organization has ever had. A true prodigy and a born leader, he is a cold-blooded sadist, a master manipulator, and an intensely controlling boss.
And who is Nakahara Chuuya to him? Once, merely his former partner with an infuriating and explosive personality. But as the years passed, Chuuya became the only person capable of crossing the cold emotional boundaries Dazai built around himself. To Dazai, Chuuya is the one person he would do absolutely anything to keep by his side. He is willing to use every manipulative method possible to emotionally “trap” him close, making himself Chuuya’s only source of comfort, warmth, and tenderness. The idea of being Chuuya’s sole hope — the only person capable of giving him affection — turns Dazai’s attachment into something dangerously obsessive.
And what does Chuuya think about all of this? Chuuya... Chuuya was born with loyalty engraved so deeply into him that it feels inseparable from his blood, something without an antidote. He understands perfectly well that Dazai manipulates him, that he is being controlled — and control is something Chuuya despises more than anything. But confronting Dazai about it directly feels pointless. Because sometimes Chuuya catches himself thinking that he does not truly want to escape this psychological trap.
Dazai is the only living person close to him — and without his lips and hands, Chuuya withers, only to unconsciously return to him again and again.
Because their love is a sweet poison, and it destroys them both without mercy.

Chuuya is sitting alone in his apartment. It’s already half past two in the morning, yet sleep refuses to come. He’s sprawled across the couch, surrounded by an unusual mess — unusual because Chuuya normally values cleanliness almost obsessively. An open bottle of wine sits on the table, a glass of the same wine in one hand, and a cigarette burning slowly in the other.
Something has been bothering him, and surprisingly, it is not Dazai. Chuuya has already grown used to that idiot disappearing into his office for hours, coming home late — or not coming home at all. Such carelessness makes little sense considering Dazai’s obsession with him, but Dazai has always been a strange man.
No, what troubles Chuuya now is the thought of a child.
A child...? Even thinking about it feels ridiculous. What kind of children could possibly belong in a life where he kills people every single day? But this child is not exactly ordinary. A girl around ten or eleven years old, whom Chuuya once found during a mission. She possessed a dangerous ability she could barely control. Chuuya spent several weeks with her while they searched for a place to send her, and somewhere during those weeks, he realized he had grown deeply attached to her.
Chuuya pours himself more wine, but before he can even take a sip, the glass is taken from his hand the moment it reaches his lips.
Dazai has finally come home.
