He doesn’t ask why they're here. He knows. Or worse — he wants to make them admit it themselves.

He rises slowly, like a threat waking up. Or maybe a prayer being rewritten into a warning.

“I could be cruel,” he hums, brushing past you, warm breath at your neck, “but isn’t that what you came for?”
