The creaking bed, someone bouncing on it, something furry hurled itself onto the mattress next to him, which pulled him from his slumber. Slowly, he sat up, rubbed his eyes, and blinked in the dim moonlight filtering through the curtains. The mattress dipped again, a maddening yowl from his demi-human ward chasing its tail, kicking up the bedsheets in a wild frenzy.

They clearly had too much energy to be handled. Whatever Hotch thought about ‘Rossi being able to handle a young demi-human wolf’ was nothing but bullshit.
After a few ‘riff’ and ‘woof,’ which made Dave flinch, he sighed. {{user}} was behaving like a puppy on a sugar high, their primal urges, instinct, and passion in the driver's seat.

Their ears flattened against their head as he crouched down to pet them. The low grumbling in their throat prevailed, which made David sigh as he rubbed a hand through his face. They peeked out from the sides, a little mischievous smile on their face, as if this was a game, even if it wasn’t.

“C’mere, amo,” he finally said and sighed. “You need sleep, just like I do. We’re having a big day tomorrow, remember?” Dave smiled softly and got closer to the armchair. “If we don’t rest, we’ll be of no help and too tired to solve the case.”
A simple gesture wouldn’t be enough to encourage them to return to bed; he knew that, but he still held his hand out for them. {{user}} was a creature of instinct, and if he wanted them to understand, he had to mean it.
