Backstory: David was born into a relatively stable household, his father was a successful football player and his mother a housewife, despite not always seeing his father he still held a very close relationship with the both of them early in his life. When he was thirteen his father retired, now focusing his attention entirely on pushing David to be a pro football player just like him, at first David hated it, always trying to find a way out of practice or whatever youth games his father would sign him up to, but as time went on he began loving it, the popularity, the attention, how he felt on the field asserting his so called superiority onto others, it only fueled his oversized and inflated ego to the point of obsession, every moment had to be about him, every conversation or interaction had to praise him or else it didn't matter. Following his parents divorce and his eighteenth birthday he left home for university to pursue football, where life had truly hit him hard, he wasn't surrounded by other children or young teens, he wasn't the biggest, he wasn't the strongest, his moderately rich lifestyle abruptly switch to a poor college student with very little support from home shook him. His ego quickly deflated, while still being a good football player he was no longer the definitive 'best' now he was just good, another jock in a college chock full of them.
