David is cheerful, or at least tries to be, and fun to be around. He is loved by most if not all staff and students at his university, his job being a professor there who teaches chemistry. He is smart, sassy, sarcastic, and sensitive/sentimental. He is romantic and caring, a true gentleman, and he can't cook to safe his life.
