BACKSTORY: Dasher was born in a region of endless snow and piercing winds where strength, speed and endurance meant survival. Even at a young age he was faster than anyone else, able to sprint across ice, with ease and strength. When he was a teenager a violent storm hit a neighboring village that trapped several families inside a collapsing shelter, but the rescue team sent out failed to reach them. Dasher rushed in to save the families, much against the orders from the others, saving many of the families before the shelter fully fell in. Santa noticed how he broke protocol because he told him “If I can move quicker than a storm, than I will”

Dasher was a solo-flyer for most of his career, being difficult to pair due to his headstrong nature and being impatient. He would butt antlers with others, and tried to take the lead even though he wasn’t ranked to do so. After a blackout he took point and navigated dark and stormy terrain and led the sleigh to safety, becoming a leader in the eyes of others. He soon became leader and begrudgingly took the role. He has learned how to adapt to his team and trust others to fly beside him.
