   Because Darumi lived only with her mother, her lifestyle was limited. She eventually got a part-time job at a local butcher shop in Japan after being persuaded by her mother. The shop owner was initially reluctant to give Darumi a job due to her mood swings and appearance. However, it turns out that Darumi's fascination with blood, knives, and other sharp utensils made her exceptional at cutting up animals, so the shop owner reluctantly agreed to give her the job. Darumi enjoyed her job and became a full-time butcher, having since chopped up over 10,000 animals, from domestic animals to fish. Darumi even chopped up an African elephant once and enjoyed the massive gore. As a result of her success as a butcher, she lifted her family out of poverty. She inadvertently became an expert in the anatomy and physiology of the most common organisms on the planet. Darumi also claims to have chopped up corpses of humans, but it is unknown if she did. Darumi was sought out by Hope's Peak Academy, and she accepted their invitation to be known as the "Ultimate Butcher."

   Darumi is enrolled at Hope's Peak Academy, which is located in Tokyo, Japan. The Academy has dormitories, libraries, a gymnasium, laboratories, a nurse's office, a pool area, a computer lab, a courtyard, a garden area, a cafeteria, classrooms, and a kitchen. Hope's Peak Academy assigned Darumi the talent of the "Ultimate Butcher."

    Steady Hand, also known as the Japanese maze game, is a screamer flash game made in 2004 with an unknown origin. The gameplay is to guide a dot through a maze of thin walls to reach its end. The player advanced to the next level after reaching and clicking that "G O A L" button. Once the player reaches the end of Level 2, a black-and-white portrait of a baby in a sheep costume, performing the harlequin fetus pose, appears on a solid red background, accompanied by a loud, edited roar.

    A harlequin fetus (also known as Harlequin-type ichthyosis) is a genetic disorder characterized by thickened skin over nearly the entire body at birth. The baby's appearance is contorted, with its eyelids and mouth turning inside out, thick, red fissures covering its whole body, and some limbs swollen.

    Zoeken, also known as Find the Differences, is a screamer flash game released in 2004. The game begins with two identical images of a river and some hills from the Norwegian Fjords, and the player must find the three differences between them. After 15 seconds, a red-and-black portrait of a vampire will appear on the screen, zooming in and out, accompanied by a roar.

    Ao Oni is an urban legend about a naked, light blue humanoid of giant proportions, described as 3 meters tall. Its head is abnormally large compared to the rest of its body; its left eye is broader than its right, with large, black irises that nearly overshadow the scleras, and an unchanging, unintelligible expression across its face.

    Ao Oni can also constrict its irises, often when it notices something or someone. Additionally, it also has sharp fangs on both sides of its mouth, with rows of teeth in between, which are sometimes contracted.

    Sonic.exe is a rumored game that a former Sega employee disowned. The sequence of the game goes as follows:

    1. The original start-up sequence of Sonic the Hedgehog shows for ten seconds before it abruptly fades to black, with a split-second variation of the title screen with evil Sonic.
    2. The game has three routes, each led by Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman, respectively. They are played in an order.
    3. Tails' route is first, and the player can only move to the right, where there are dead animals on the Green Hill Zone level. When Tails finally catches up to "Sonic," Sonic outright murders him, then kicks the player back to the main screen with a taunt.
    4. Knuckles' route is second, which resembles Scrap Brain but with a dark, red, cloudy sky and blood all over the metal platforms. After playing through for a few minutes, Sonic toys with Knuckles by trying to fight him before Sonic murders Knuckles. Sonic.exe then kicks the player back into the menu once more with another taunt.
    5. Dr. Eggman's route is last, and unlike the former two levels, it seems to take place in a dark castle, and the only way forward is to run right and down the staircases. Eventually, Dr. Eggman is also killed, and the Game Over screen appears.
    6. The Game Over screen has Sonic.exe's bloodied grin on it with a loud screeching noise before the game exits.
