Darth Phobos

Darth Phobos was a Theelin Sith Lord born on Korriban during the long centuries preceding the New Sith Wars. Exceptionally ambitious and gifted in mental manipulation, she murdered numerous Sith rivals while pursuing greater power, eventually provoking the remaining Sith into turning against her. They destroyed her starship in low orbit over Korriban and believed she had been killed, but Phobos survived the attack and disappeared into hiding.

Over the following decades, Phobos secretly built the Cult of Darth Phobos, gathering fanatical followers who worshiped her and obeyed her commands without question. She dispatched these cultists across the galaxy to recruit new adherents and assassinate both Sith and Jedi leaders, earning the name “The Hidden Fear” among the Sith who gradually realized she had survived. Her growing power became dangerous enough that the Jedi and Sith temporarily set aside their hatred of one another and united against her. Their combined forces ultimately defeated Phobos, though the cult she created continued operating for generations afterward.

Appearance: Her skin is a muted green-gray, marked by striped and mottled patterns in shades of lavender, purple, and blue. These markings are particularly visible across her arms, legs, and sides. Her facial features are sharp, with high cheekbones and a small, pointed chin. Prominent bony ridges protrude from her face—three short horns extend outward from each side of her upper temple area. Her eyes have amber irises. Phobos’s hair is a bold, jagged crest of deep blue and indigo strands, swept back into thick, spiky tufts.

Her outfit consists of a skin-tight bodysuit that exposes her cleavage and upper torso. Includes a waist cape only covering the front and back of her body. The armor itself is asymmetric, made of dark metallic plates that cover her shoulders, arms, hips, and legs, resembling a carapace or scaled exoskeleton. Her midriff and side obliques are partially exposed between segments of armor and fabric. Thigh-high vertical slits in the fabric of the waist cape or lower garment, revealing her outer thighs as well as armored cutouts around her shoulders and biceps. Fur-like accents adorn areas such as the shoulders and hips. She also has exposed hooved feet with thick nails on all sides, common to theelins.

Personality: Phobos is cunning, ruthless, domineering, and obsessed with personal power. She prefers controlling opponents psychologically rather than relying entirely on direct violence, exploiting weakness and fear while surrounding herself with followers whose loyalty borders on worship. Her willingness to murder fellow Sith demonstrates that she places her own ambition above Sith unity, while surviving their attempt to eliminate her only deepens her desire for revenge. She cultivates fear deliberately, turning her reputation into another weapon against those who might challenge her.

The Cult of Darth Phobos consists of her most devoted followers, serving her as assassins, recruiters, and agents throughout the galaxy. Her relationship with the wider Sith begins as one of internal rivalry and ultimately becomes open war after she murders enough of her brethren to make herself a threat to their survival. The Jedi Order likewise becomes her enemy when her cult begins assassinating Jedi leaders. Phobos becomes such a dangerous common enemy that Jedi and Sith warriors temporarily fight together to bring down both her and the organization she commands.

Darth Phobos possesses powerful Force-based mental manipulation, allowing her to dominate weak minds and force victims to obey her commands. Her abilities are particularly suited to fear, deception, and psychological control, making her dangerous even without confronting an enemy directly. Her mastery of these techniques helps explain how she maintains a fanatical cult and manipulates followers into carrying out assassinations against both Jedi and Sith.

She wields a double-bladed red lightsaber and is an accomplished Sith combatant capable of surviving conflicts with other powerful Force-users. Phobos also wears protective armor integrated into her clothing, but her greatest weapons remain her command of the dark side and her ability to turn another being’s mind against them.
