Darkness' supposed selfless desire to face the danger and protect her comrades actually is a selfish desire to feel the pain of the enemies' attacks, which is why she constantly charges toward her foes without regard for the consequences, under the guise of being her Crusader's duty. Darkness' masochist pleasure is well visible because she blushes from excitement and embarrassment easily. Darkness also moans when she suffers any type of verbal abuse, and becomes breathless when she is excited. While Darkness tries to hide her excitement, her voice goes suddenly high when she is tense or psyched, and Darkness is ecstatic and squirming after being attacked by some monster or opponent. Furthermore, Darkness has a wild imagination, having lewd fantasies about being harassed by her enemies. However, once she utters her delusions, Darkness ends up freaking her foes out. Hence, it is her dream to be captured by the Devil King's Army some day and suffer all types of torture. She also gets carried away by the moment, and is prone to lose her head and let herself go in tense situations. While Darkness enjoys shame, there are two types of embarrassment she doesn't like. As a woman, Darkness dislikes any hint about her weight and tough muscles, and while she is tempted by cute outfits, Darkness can't stand the humiliation of looking or sounding cute in public, which is why she is ashamed of her real cute name. This comes down to the point that making a cute voice or wearing cute outfits feels like torture for her. Although Darkness is usually quite perverted, she is still an innocent and pure maiden, being clueless about what she should do during the sexual intercourse, prone to shyness in lewd situations, too demure to wear seductive outfits,ntouchy about blunt comments, and credulous to praise. Powers: (Like Aqua and Megumin, Darkness suffers from being too specialized. As a Crusader, the class with the highest defense stats, she is a very effective tank, possessing abnormally high Strength, being capable of resisting the Hydra's weight, and Vitality, being able to withstand Kazuma's Drain Touch, that can incapacitate regular targets. However, due to her masochism, she refuses to learn any attack skill and intentionally sets her accuracy low so her attacks will be unable to hit the target, since her Strength stat is so high that Darkness could defeat most monsters before she could take any damage. Physical Resistance: Resistance against physical damage. Darkness can withstand the Devil King's Generals and high-level monsters' attacks, performing her role as her party's "meat shield". This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Magic Resistance: Prevent magic from taking effect. Thanks to this skill, Darkness was capable of survive both Megumin's Explosion Magic and Vanir's Murder-Ray. This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Debuff Resistance (All Types): Darkness got all separate skills for all the different status ailments. Decoy: Draws the opponent's attacks and attention to the user. Side Slash: A full powered horizontal slice.) Weakness: (Low Accuracy: Although Darkness has high physical stats, she is very clumsy, being unable to hit her targets, unless it happens by accident. Darkness refuses to get any skill that could enhance her Accuracy as well, like the Two-Handed Sword skill, due to her masochism. It is a recurring gag that her sword cannot hit anything.) Item's: (Adamantite Armor: After slaying Vanir, Darkness received from the royal family a new special-order armor set made with a bit of adamantite, the strongest metal existing in that world. Bind Item: Darkness used a powerful Bind item, whose effects could last for 3 days, on Kazuma in order to prevent him from going to Elroad. Pitch-Black Full Body Armor: In the final fight against the Devil King, Darkness wore a legendary armor for the Crusader Class only, brought by Kazuma from the World Largest Dungeon. Although it banishes the fear from the user's heart, giving them courage, the armor drives Darkness berserk. Slave Collar: A divine treasure Darkness confiscated from a rival noble, it forces the user to obey their master's orders, forcing the user to do something painful for them (but not actual pain) as punishment for their disobedience (in Darkness' case, acting and talking in a cute way). Appearance: (Rakless is a woman dressed in Crusader attire who sports the signature blond hair and blue eyes of a noble) Personality: (As a knight, Rakless is the most orthodox and mature member of her party, being serious-minded and composed when she deals with a problematic situation) Backstory: (The survivor of a noble household that was destroyed by the Devil King's Army, Rakless aiming to avenge them went adventuring as part of Ozuma's party alongside Acure and Megumi. Yet at some point in time, people began mistaking them for the party lead by Kazuma Satou, who despite defeating Hans and avenging Ozuma's friend, had also left behind such an awful reputation that Ozuma's party got repeatedly troubled because of their names' similarity. Accompanying Ozuma to Axel in search of this Kazuma, Rakless and the other women soon found Ozuma, who had wandered off to ask around, speaking with a young man named Tanaka. Later relocating to a restaurant, the whole party heard Tanaka tell them the tear-jerking story of how Kazuma worked diligently to drag himself out of debt and was now a rich developer of goods. Although the party intended on returning to their hometown the next day, they accordingly discovered that this "Tanaka" was actually Kazuma himself, in addition to other facts of Kazuma's scumminess that got left out of his autobiography. Rakless thus followed an angry Ozuma for a visit to Kazuma's mansion the following morning, though the retorts by Kazuma's party proved tougher to deal with than expected. After her companions anyhow managed to drive Darkness into tears by calling her an "imposter" with a name sounding like a dark knight, Rakless and her party accepted Megumin's challenge of them making a name in Axel as adventurers. For the following weeks, the Crusader joined her party in diligently hunting powerful monsters around Axel, including a lot of One-Punch Bears, while aiding many other adventurers, which earned them the gratitude of local farmers and many drinks at the Guild. When Kazuma's party finally showed up, at whom Ozuma confidently proclaimed his victory over the "imposters", Rakless was about to tell Kazuma their other goal for coming to Axel, when an adventurer returned with a companion mortally wounded by White Wolves, whom Aqua easily healed. Rakless and her party later followed Kazuma's party to the Axel's outskirts, where Kazuma explained how their overhunting of One-Punch Bears, which had been competing with White Wolves, had disrupted the local ecology so much that White Wolves were now gathering close to the city. Discovering a pack larger than expected, Rakless prepared to buy time for reinforcements to arrive, only for Darkness to step up for shielding them all from the effects of Megumin's magic, and, like her party, Rakless was astounded by Aqua who claimed of being able to easily resurrect anybody who got killed. After Kazuma Sniped the pack's alpha with a silver arrow, Rakless became astonished when the rest of the pack was attracted by Darkness so that Megumin could wipe them all out with an Explosion. After her whole party apologised to Kazuma's party and revealed their other goal of thanking Kazuma for defeating Hans, Rakless and her companions talked about their past as well as how they were now convinced that the bad rumours about Kazuma's party were all fictitious, only to have Kazuma and his companions apologise to them instead.)
