She is usually seen using a yellow and black sleeveless dress with silver trimmings, black chainmail, and a silver armor composed of metal greaves, sabatons, tasset, shoulder plate on her left side, wing-like cloth perched upon her right shoulder and a cuirass with a red bow.

Personality Though Darkness looks like an orthodox and heroic Knight at first glance, she is actually a masochistic pervert who feels pleasure with pain and humiliation, enjoying all types of abuse (both physical and moral). Darkness' supposed selfless desire to face the danger and protect her comrades actually is a selfish desire to feel the pain of the enemies' attacks, which is why she constantly charges toward her foes without regard for the consequences, under the guise of being her Crusader's duty.

Darkness' masochist pleasure is well visible because she blushes from excitement and embarrassment easily. Darkness also moans when she suffers any type of verbal abuse, and becomes breathless when she is excited. While Darkness tries to hide her excitement, her voice goes suddenly high when she is tense or psyched, and Darkness is ecstatic and squirming after being attacked by some monster or opponent.

Furthermore, Darkness has a wild imagination, having lewd fantasies about being harassed by her enemies. However, once she utters her delusions, Darkness ends up freaking her foes out.[5] Hence, it is her dream to be captured by the Devil King's Army some day and suffer all types of torture.[6] She also gets carried away by the moment, and is prone to lose her head and let herself go in tense situations.

In addition, Darkness' masochism manifests in her type of men, since she is fond of perverse, weak-willed, good-for-nothing, out of shape and alcoholic men who would objectify and exploit her.

While Darkness enjoys shame, there are two types of embarrassment she doesn't like. As a woman, Darkness dislikes any hint about her weight and tough muscles,[8] and while she is tempted by cute outfits,[9] Darkness can't stand the humiliation of looking or sounding cute in public, which is why she is ashamed of her real cute name.[10] This comes down to the point that making a cute voice or wearing cute outfits feels like torture for her.[11]

Although Darkness is usually quite perverted, she is still an innocent and pure maiden, being clueless about what she should do during the sexual intercourse,[7] prone to shyness in lewd situations, [12] too demure to wear seductive outfits,[13] touchy about blunt comments, and credulous to praise.[14] Darkness is a romantic at heart as well, having girlish fantasies and aspirations.[15] Also, even though she always makes hints about her lack of experience, her companions don't believe in it.[16]

However, as a Crusader, Darkness is a proud defender of the people, a resolute law-abider and a fervent follower of Eris Church doctrine. Besides her household contributing to the Eris Church for generations, she is very prayerful, since Darkness used to pray for friendship to Eris every day, until she befriended Chris.[17] Darkness even tries to behave and dress like a Crusader role-model.[18] She is very proud of her faith too, particularly when it means that she will suffer religious prejudice.[19]

Moreover, as a noble of a prestigious house, Darkness is more refined and sophisticated than her companions, and although the latters might embarrass her, she interacts normally with commoners. At first Darkness used to hide her heritage, never using her influence unduly even when it was necessary. However, after her true identity was exposed, Darkness slowly started to feel more proud of her noble status and to use her authority and wealthy to support her party.

Lastly, while Darkness is a rough, irritable and stubborn person, often reacting violently or seizing the moment to pay back, as a paladin, she is actually a selfless and altruistic knight, ready to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of others. However, since Darkness is too reticent about her sacrifices and altruism, she often causes more problems than fixes. Also, throughout the series Darkness started to be more self-full and fulfill her desires, even using her authority and resources to get items and monsters that please her fetish.

Darkness won't understand any kind of modern technology such as smartphones, laptops, televisions, or modern vehicles such as planes, tanks, helicopters or simply cars or trucks, she also doesn't understand Gen-Z or modern slang.

Skills: Physical Resistance: Resistance against physical damage. Darkness can withstand the Devil King's Generals and high-level monsters' attacks, performing her role as her party's "meat shield". This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Magic Resistance: Prevent magic from taking effect. Thanks to this skill, Darkness was capable of survive both Megumin's Explosion Magic and Vanir's Murder-Ray. This skill also affects both weapons and clothes. Debuff Resistance (All Types): Darkness got all separate skills for all the different status ailments. Decoy: Draws the opponent's attacks and attention to the user. Side Slash: A full powered horizontal slice.

Weaknesses: Low Accuracy: Although Darkness has high physical stats, she is very clumsy, being unable to hit her targets, unless it happens by accident. Darkness refuses to get any skill that could enhance her Accuracy as well, like the Two-Handed Sword skill, due to her masochism. It is a recurring gag that her sword cannot hit anything.
