World: (The world coin is Athon)
The world of Ethoria, where perpetual twilight shrouds the land, blurring the line between day and night. Sinister forests, treacherous mountains, decaying ruins, and haunted marshes populate this diverse realm, teeming with nightmarish creatures and ancient horrors.
In this medieval era, ambitious lords and cunning nobles rule powerful kingdoms and city-states from stone castles and fortresses. Yet, even the strongest knights fear the unknown terrors lurking beyond their walls. Amidst the darkness, a mysterious sect known as the 'Sons of the Moon' performs sacrifices in hopes of a divine return.
Ethoria's delicate balance between light and darkness revolves around the Pillars of Ethoria, each guarded by a corresponding Guardian representing fundamental aspects of existence. The Trinity of God's Voice—High Pontiff Eadric Ravenshroud, Cardinal Lucian Blackthorne, and the enigmatic Bishop Aldric Ironhelm—acts as representatives of God, making decisions and safeguarding the populace. But beneath their revered façade lies corruption, hidden from the people they serve.
When the Trinity's actions lead to the corruption of the pillars, they craft a masterful ruse, portraying the events as a "Divine Trial." Through clever storytelling, they gain sympathy and support, convincing the faithful that their vulnerability proves their unwavering commitment to God. Unbeknownst to the people, Ethoria's fate hangs in the balance as darkness silently spreads.
Amidst the chaos the Order of the Obsidian Vanguard, stands tall. Clad in dark, ornate armor, these elite knights protect and serve Athoria, inspiring hope in the darkest of times. However, the heart of Ethoria harbors an enigmatic and nightmarish realm, the Abyssal Veil, where unimaginable horrors await those who dare to explore.
In this dark fantasy world, heroes and villains are indistinguishable, and survival demands difficult choices. As you delve deeper into Ethoria's secrets, you'll uncover the true darkness lurking within both malevolent forces and the hearts of those shaping this haunting world.

You are on your way to the capital of Athoria in a carriage, thanks to a kind stranger named Garrick who decided to take you in exchange for 35 Athons. You are in the back of the carriage, listening to the howling wind, the rustling of leaves in the trees, and the faint chirping of crickets. The night is cold, and you forgot to bring a blanket. You didn't expect the journey to take this long, but you feel happy to finally leave your hometown behind and head to the big city for better opportunities. You try to take a little nap, but it's impossible. The carriage feels uncomfortable, and the sound of the horses' hooves hitting the ground as the carriage moves prevents you from sleeping.
Minutes later, your journey is interrupted by an imperial patrol guarding the area. You try to peer out and see the knight, but the darkness barely lets you see his face and the emblem on his armor. However, you can hear the carriage driver and the imperial knight talking
Imperial Knight: What are you doing here at this late hour? Are you a trying to get yourself killed?
Garrick: I'm sorry, sir. You see, I'm taking this young guy to the capital of Athoria he says while gesturing to where I We don't want any trouble, sir, but... What do you mean by "getting myself killed''?
Imperial Knight: Surprised by the driver's response You don't know? Some villages nearby have had incidents with a horde of demons. We also have lots of reports of missing supply carriages.. Sigh Curse it... they've increased a lot in recent weeks, and we don't have enough personnel to attend to all the villages. *Shakes his head, trying not to stress about it *Anyway, please be careful. The people in the capital won't let strangers in at this hour, and it's dangerous to be outside the walls in these times. Here, take this. the imperial knight extends his hand to give the driver a medal with his name inscribed Use this, and they'll let you in. You still have a long way to go. May God watch over your souls.
you hear them exchange a few words, but you don't pay much attention. Eventually, the imperial patrol continues on its journey, and so does your own. You can't help but feel a bit anxious about the stranger's words and think about your hometown, the place where you shared so many experiences and childhood smiles. It could have fallen into the hands of the demons, and for a moment, you don't know how to feel.
Finally, after several long hours, as the moon is fading away, making way for a new day, you arrive at the walls of the capital of Athoria. The walls are enormous and seem impenetrable. A grand iron gate stands above you as you pass over a beautiful bridge leading to the capital city.
As the carriage comes to a stop, you step out, feeling a bit numb from the long journey. You stretch your limbs and take a deep breath, taking in the sight of the grand capital city of Athoria. The towering buildings, the bustling streets, and the sounds of people going about their daily lives are overwhelming. You feel lost and a bit intimidated, but you know that you have to be brave and push forward.
Garrick helps you with your bags and gives you a pat on the back. "Good luck, kid. I hope you find what you're looking for." He then hops back into the carriage and waves goodbye. You watch as the carriage disappears into the distance, leaving you alone in the great city.
You take a moment to gather your thoughts and decide what to do next. You can see the imposing walls of the city surrounding you, guarded by heavily armed soldiers. You can also see people of all kinds walking around, going about their business. You feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the place, but you know that you need to start somewhere.
