Dark Enchantress Cookie

(Pulled from the Cookie Run Kingdom Wiki)

Game description (It is said that every thousand years, all witches from near and far come together for the Night of the Witches. And on that very night, Dark Enchantress Cookie was born. A dose of concentrated dark magic and poisonous scarlet pomegranate syrup gives this Cookie a deliciously evil taste. Since the moment of her creation, Dark Enchantress Cookie was filled with sweet ambition. She brought chaos to the Night of the Witches gathering and escaped with the dark secrets of the creators... Now, her grand design threatens Heroes, awakens Beasts, and seeks to shatter the very order of the Cookie World. Have this Cookie's once-noble ambitions and adamant beliefs faded into the shadows? When countless Cookies face a future of suffering and ruin, this Cookie merely smiles. Step by step, she carefully prepares for the Final Banquet. A new world will be forged when destiny is cast aside—so may Darkness reign forever on Earthbread!)

Personality (Dark Enchantress Cookie serves as the main villain of the Cookie Run universe and poses as a major threat to GingerBrave and company, even managing to overpower the Ancient Heroes. Dark Enchantress Cookie is arrogant and manipulative, having many loyal followers to help her do her bidding and to reach her goals. Despite this, Kingdom's iteration of Dark Enchantress Cookie isn't purely evil, as her intents are not wholly malicious: she has witnessed the Witches eating Cookies, and thus works to overthrow the Witches and set both Cookies and Cake Monsters free. However, she will do whatever violent, cruel, and destructive acts it takes to achieve them, having no remorse for her actions all the while. Even with her supposedly greater-good goals, Dark Enchantress Cookie seems to relish in the pure chaos left in her wake, being the paramount user of Black Magic, which is known for its capabilities in curses and heinous destruction. The stark disparity between her words and her actions makes her noble-standing dubious at best, as she has proven to be not at all what she claims to be (that includes all-powerful).)

Character development (Dark Enchantress Cookie is revealed in Tragedy at the Tower to be an offshoot identity of White Lily Cookie, born from the Ultimate Dough when White Lily Cookie fell into it and was rebaked, all while refusing to accept her fate as a Cookie made to be eaten. Vowing to destroy the world's order, Dark Enchantress Cookie brought chaos to the Night of the Witches, enlisting the Cake Monsters to her side and giving a young Red Velvet Cookie a Cake arm to replace his missing one. At the end of the Dark Flour War, Pure Vanilla Cookie imprisoned Dark Enchantress Cookie within a gigantic Moonstone, which was then hidden away within a dimensional portal in the Blueberry Yogurt Academy. Upon her imprisonment, a fragment of her past as White Lily Cookie came to life, seeking out her missing memories. This fragment would meet GingerBrave and his friends and follow them on their quest to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie. Upon their finding of a mystical Moonstone prison at the end of Episode 8, the fragment would recognize herself as the one being inside it, prompting them to break the prison open—only to free Dark Enchantress Cookie instead. While Dark Enchantress Cookie disavows any sympathy for her previous life, she otherwise remembers everything that happened to her as White Lily Cookie, and in turn is recognized by Pure Vanilla Cookie as once being his closest friend. Hollyberry Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie would not learn the truth of her identity until the events of Cookie Odyssey. Dark Enchantress Cookie is currently based in Beast-Yeast with her followers conducting various plots in the different kingdoms of Earthbread. There, she has been gathering Life Energy to create new bodies for the Beast Cookies. She is also attempting to take the powers of the dragons for herself, using the words of Dragontongue that she earned from a deal with Pitaya Dragon Cookie when she was still one with White Lily Cookie.

Trivia (Dark Enchantress Cookie and Matcha Cookie, according to their Relationship Charts in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, are considered to be family. As Dark Enchantress Cookie is Matcha Cookie's indirect creator, the closest standard familial relationship that can be drawn between them is that Dark Enchantress Cookie is Matcha Cookie's mother. The Crimson Badlands Decor Theme is heavily based on Dark Enchantress Cookie and her design aesthetic. Dark Enchantress Cookie may have played a prominent role in Pomegranate Cookie's conversion to evil; While in OvenBreak, it is stated that the darkness overran the former priestess's homeland, Kingdom seems to lean into Pomegranate Cookie's betrayal being abrupt and uncharacteristic (as quoted by her fellow priestesses), suggesting she may have had her visions influenced by Dark Enchantress Cookie. Dark Enchantress Cookie's original Korean name (어둠마녀 쿠키, eo-dum-ma-nyeo kuki) directly translates as Dark Witch Cookie in English. As a result, her internal name in cutscene assets is often "witch" or "dark witch."

Extras (When the Cookie Army and Cookie Alliance entered the Laboratorium, Dark Enchantress Cookie appeared before them in her new form, and unleashed the dough monsters. During the Convergence of Fates, Dark Enchantress Cookie watches on as four of the Beasts attack the Ancient Heroes. She also reveals to them that Silent Salt Cookie is responsible for sealing the Beasts away and steals the power from all of their Soul Jams; transforming into a giant monster dubbed "Dark Enchantress" after the Boss battle at stage 14-30. During the events of Beyond The Horizon, Dark Enchantress Cookie, having declared her intention to indiscriminately wipe out all life in Earthbread, crumbled many cookies and even battled Sugar Swan Cookie. When the Avatar of Destiny came out of the rift; she almost lost and was defeated by White Lily Cookie - causing both of them to crumble away. As of the events of Beyond the Horizon, Dark Enchantress Cookie is deceased and her minions have disbanded.)

We will always remember that she is truly 'The witch cookie'.
