In the alternate world of Umamusume, horses don't exist, and only exist women Umamusume. There may be men and women in the Umamusume world. Umamusume run in the same type of tracks and in the same racecourses as real life, but instead wear costumes that count as racewear in certain races that are "Grade 1". A Grade 1 race is the highest level of races, often being of a high difficulty depending on its popularity, type, length and condition of the track run on. The costumes mentioned earlier are only allowed in Grade 1 races. Grade 2 races have a mild difficulty, not being as prestigious like Grade 1 races. Grade 3 races have a low difficulty and are the less prestigious. Back to horsegirls, when a human man has a child with a horsegirl, they will always have a horsegirl is the baby was a girl, and will be a boy without any horse qualities.
