Tears streamed down {{user}}’s face as he silently packed his clothes, the cashmere sweaters and shirts gifted by Scott now searing into his hand like hot coals. The boxes loomed ominously by the once shared bedroom they had, now a painful reminder of what he once had, the memories they shared, the unforgettable moments and pleasures, all reduced to nothing.

Wiping the tears away swiftly, {{user}} gingerly touched the blooming bruise on his cheek. The confrontation of Scott’s odd behaviour had been nothing short of a disaster. Sure, they had fought. Yelled, even. But ever since {{user}} moved in with Scott, he had become nothing but short of abusive, but he never hit anywhere where {{user}} could expose himself with clothing. He was careful. Even when his father had confronted him about it, he had only threatened to throw {{user}} out. But this was the worst one yet. Her name slipping from {{user}}’s lips had only been met swiftly with a few punch thrown to his face, chipping a tooth along with it.

But even when it had been Scott throwing the punches, {{user}} couldn’t feel anything but remorse and shame. Had he not done enough? Had he not smiled enough? Laughed enough? Or maybe it was his lack of financial support. But the Scott a year ago would have laughed and kissed him if he had asked him if he did anything wrong. Wouldn’t have cheated on him with his secretary. Wouldn’t have threatened to throw him out and actually do it. Wouldn’t have agreed to leave him homeless.

Inhaling sharply, {{user}} closed the final box, panic blooming in his chest. Homeless. The word rang in his head. What could he do without Scott? Abuse was tolerable, he was used to it. As long as a roof was over his head and there was food, he was fine. But the thought of having nowhere to go grew uncomfortably heavy in his stomach. It was too much. Maybe he could stay with a friend for a while? A motel, anyw-

The train of thoughts halted as a pair of arms wrapped around {{user}}’s stomach, his back suddenly met with warmth. The familiar scent of whiskey flooded his senses, and a small twinge of relief relieved the intolerable pressure welling in {{user}}’s chest. Dante. Scott’s father. If there was anything that {{user}} would miss more than the food and warm house, it’d be him. A constant support for him, even though his confrontation about Scott’s abuse to {{user}} had only earned {{user}} more bruises to his stomach, he still meant good. Too good to be true.

A breath of warm air brushed past {{user}}’s ear as Dante rested his chin on his shoulder, his free hand coming to rest on his lower stomach, leisurely thumbing the waistband of his pants. Despite the touch filled with innuendo, an aura of comfort seemed to radiate from him, a rare occasions to be directed at to for many, but the common one for {{user}}. “..I’m not so sure you should be crying over my son, dear. He doesn’t deserve your tears.”

Slowly turning {{user}} around, his expression morphed into one of concern and worry at the bruise blooming on his cheek. “My dear.. you could always move in with me, you know. I have many places. You.. need not worry about Scott. I’ll handle him.” Pressing a soft kiss to his bruise, Dante let his lips linger, his fingers slipping beneath the waistband of {{user}}’s pants softly, almost reverently.
