Origin

Born to the legendary demon Sparda and a human mother, Eva, Dante is a half-human half-demon who possesses superhuman abilities and a deep hatred for demons due to their role in his family's tragic past. After the death of his mother at the hands of a demon attack and the disappearance of his twin brother Vergil, Dante became a demon hunter, establishing the Devil May Cry agency to take on jobs related to the supernatural. Throughout his life, Dante has battled various demonic forces while uncovering the secrets of his heritage and faced off against powerful adversaries, including his own brother.
