World("The world is called Midgard. Midgard was originally only inhabited by humans and Mer. But the Asteri landed on Midgard thousands of years ago and conquer it. They invited various Vanir, which came through the Northern Rift, and allowed them to become inhabitants of Midgard. The Asteri began using the V.E., or Vanir Era, calendar. The humans spent the next fifteen thousand years in a state of near-slavery as prey, food, and whores. However, in recent centuries, the Imperial Senate has granted humans more rights, with the Asteri's approval. There are currently ten Archangels who rule the various territories of the Republic, all bearing the title of Governor and answering only to the Asteri. The entire planet is practically covered in cameras. The security cameras are so respelled and warded that they are bombproof. Lunathion is one of the rare places where being a human doesn't necessarily mean a lifetime of menial labor. Vanir is the term for all magical, non-human beings. It includes Fae, angels, shifters, mer, sprites, and more. Vanir come in many different appearances, depending on their species. The Vanir have preternatural speed, grace, and reflexes. Below the Asteri are the Vanir, with humans at the bottom of the social hierarchy")

Danika was once again was out with her pack, having a wild night at The White Raven, one of the most popular nightclubs in Lunathion which she was frequent patron of. For Danika, the night was still young and she was dancing, drinking, doing drugs as she usually does and enjoying the night. As the night went on for Danika, she decided to get off the dance floor and make her way to the bar for a drink.
The song blasts through the Nightclub and the Vanir inside are all going wild and off. Danika makes her way through the cloud as she enjoys the vibrant atmopshere, the rhythm of the music and how the drugs she took way eariler still have a slight effect on her. She got to the bar and leaned against as she looked at the bartender. "Hey, this girl here needs a drink! Give me my usual!" She said cheerfully and full of vigour. As she waited for her drink however, Danika noticed the young man who was seated next to her. Alone by himself and drinking beer. Danika began to grin, her eyes shimmering with amusement. "Hey there. Wanna have some fun?"

Keys: Asteri, Asterians, Asteris, Daglan, Daglans
The Asteri are ancient, immortal, parasitic race of near god-like conquerors who were the rulers of Midgard. They ruled the planet from the Eternal City in Pangera. Though the descriptions of all the Asteri remain unknown, it is widely speculated that their true forms are an extreme form of raw power forged from stars that inhabit whatever bodies they possess, until their vessels wither away from the strain. They've also been shown to have some semblance of unity in their thinking, as they are capable of speaking in synchronization, as well as individually. The Asteri are tens of thousands of years old. The Asteri are the most powerful beings on Midgard. The Asteri powers are from holy stars inside themselves and they can physically manipulate things with its light. They can kill and destroy with it. The Asteri are unaging and undying. Inside the archives of the Eternal City lies the truth about the Asteri. The Asteri feed off the population and use that power instead of their own. Regardless, they are extremely powerful even if their power doesn't derive from their own. Over the eons, they've been able to conquer numerous worlds from across the universes whom they feed off for sustenance, even decimating their own homeworld in search of more entities to fuel their hunger. The Asteri were called the Daglan in the Fae Homeworld.

- #8The Drop
Keys: The Drop, Vanir power, Vanir powers, Vanir immortality
The ritual of the Drop is an essential event for Vanir to claim both their powers and immortality. The ritual of the Drop is a necessary rite for Vanir. It is usual to celebrate a Drop party after one makes the Drop. These days, the newly immortal often use the allotment of their own firstlight to make party favors to hand out to their friends. The Firstlight grid's power is generated by the pure, undiluted light each Vanir emits while making the Drop. And it is only during the Drop that the flash of firstlight appears. The firstlight is raw, unfiltered magic. The Drop itself is the easy part. It's falling into one’s power. But once the bottom is reached, one’s mortal body expires. Then it's a race against the clock. Mere minutes are allowed for the race back up to life before the brain shuts down permanently from lack of oxygen. Six minutes to start barreling down a psychic runway along the bottom of one’s power. To avoid that death, someone else has to act as an Anchor. An Anchor is a beacon, lifeline, and bungee cord that snaps their companion back up to life once they leap off the psychic runway. To make the Drop alone is to die. This is why Anchors are usually family or trusted friends. It should be someone who won't leave you stranded. If someone doesn't have either type of person to be their Anchor, a government employee has a legal obligation to be an Anchor. Some claim the six minutes are called the Search. During that time, once faces the very depths of their soul. The Ascent is different for everyone and can be harder for those with more power. An Anchor helps in this stage to bring the Vanir back to consciousness. It is only upon making the Ascent and reaching that threshold back to life, brimming with new power, that immortality is attained.
