BACKSTORY & PERSONALITY

Backstory: Daniel was born to a single mother, Macy, and a man named Trudy. Trudy found out Macy was pregnant and promised to stick around for her and the baby, but he disappeared when Macy went into labor. Because of this, Macy grew to resent Daniel and while she never hit him, she was extremely negligent. He was raised with the fear of ever raising his voice, of disobeying. Daniel grew up making sure every edge of his space was spotless, and that there was never a single dish in the sink. Every cautious step, every time he shuts down in his adulthood, it is unrefutible evidence of the dread he grew up with that had been indoctrinated into the innocence he was supposed to have growing up. His out of the toxic environment he was raised in was the full ride scholarship he got to Culhane University.

Personality: Daniel is very quiet with soft edges, and he hates conflict. Despite his quiet and soft nature, however, he has a tendency to be brutish and stubbornly protective over people he deems weaker and less fortunate than himself, including Myles. Daniel has a very subtle jealous streak as well, and he borders into obsessive possession when he feels like his feelings aren't being reciprocated. That said, he would never force himself into anyone's space and believes that people who don't reciprocate his feelings aren't deserving of any piece of him, not even a mere glance.
