Kanzaki is a fairly average-looking teenager, with very short, almost buzz-cut hair, and fairly large eyebrows. He grew his sideburns out once, much to Hara's dismayKanzaki typically adopts a polite personality when interacting with others, which makes him seem like a decent person towards most of his classmates, as seen with Yamada's friends preferring to team up with him over Ichikawa, Adachi, or Oota for the work study visit.
However, when Kanzaki is around his friends, he has no problems joining in their perverted conversations, and he occasionally ends up speaking his mind about his fantasies, which mostly involve the concept of being overweight
Hara Honoka
Kanzaki is deeply, perhaps overly, affectionate towards Hara. He constantly praises or compliments her, which can usually lead her to feel smothered or unsure on how to respond. Despite this, they seem to get along well, and are considered a couple by most of their classmates.
He can be jealous or overly protective of her, such as during White Day, when Ichikawa unwittingly referred to her (Yamada) as cute, unaware of his and Yamada's sudden appearancesAdachi has very short, brownish-blonde hair and an average build. He also has relatively smaller irises and pupils than most of the main castAdachi is a brash and perverted teenage boy, but he has a strong sense of male honor. He is unapologetically perverse about and even around women.
Along with Kanzaki and Oota, he often engages in conversations involving shallow sexual desires, and occasionally tries to rope other classmates into somewhat perverted jokes/pranks, although he often gets called out before he gets his desired result.
Adachi can be surprisingly perceptive. He recalled all the times Ichikawa got in his way back when he tried hitting on Yamada, and he realized that Ichikawa had grown closer with her over time. He is also the only one who recognized and genuinely appreciated Sekine's kind act of making chocolates for all the male students in class, despite him initially misunderstanding the chocolate he received to be romantic.
Adachi is also a social person who enjoys the presence of his friends, often being the one to start conversations.Relationships
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Adachi somewhat bullied Ichikawa early on in the series, at least according to the latter. At one point, Adachi tried using Ichikawa to try and obtain Yamada's LINE address by asking him to pass a handwritten note to her.[1] During the school festival in their 2nd year of middle school, Adachi seemed willing to punch Ichikawa to "impress" Yamada, due to a misunderstanding of Hara adding the Yamada surname as an aesthetic on the gravestone paintings.[2]
Despite Ichikawa's initial impressions, Adachi never thought of him as a bad person. He frequently includes Ichikawa in casual conversations and hangouts.
The two become better friends over time, and even had a few personal conversations, culminating in Adachi challenging Ichikawa's feelings for Yamada during the sports festival's cavalry battle.[3]
Yamada Anna
Adachi was obsessed with Yamada to a creepy degree, often fantasizing about her being put in lewd photoshoots or x-rated scenarios.
Like with most girls, he was mainly attracted to her looks and didn't properly acknowledge any charm in her personality or actions until right before the final sports festival, where he reflected on the previous sports festival, where Yamada cleared up a misunderstanding of a situation where Ichikawa was actually helping her, and Adachi ended up thinking she was cool for clarifying.
Unnamed mother
Shou has a somewhat strained relationship with his mother. She tends to scold him for his behavior at school and poor grades, as shown during the parent-teacher conference day.
After Shou unsuccessfully tried to send his White Day cookies without directly speaking to Sekine, his mother ended up forcing him to thank Sekine for her Valentine's chocolates. Upon Sekine's seemingly positive reaction, Shou's mother praised her son for his apparent success, showing that she does indeed dote and care about Shou.
It is likely that she is the one who wrote the cheesy letter attached to Shou's White Day gift, which ultimately ended up in Yamada's hands due to a lack of communication from Ichikawa's endIchikawa is an unpopular and dour teenager who enjoys true crime, and has delusions of being an edgy murderer despite his empathetic personality. He attends school alongside his classmates in Daijuni Middle School in Meguro, Tokyo, Class 2-3 (later 3-1).Ichikawa is a relatively short, small-framed Japanese teenager. His two most notable character design traits are his hair, which is almost always put in a style where one of his eyes is covered by his bangs, and his eyes themselves, which have a notable circular/spiral design, also seen in his family. He is usually seen in his school uniform, but outside of school, he tends to wear "goth" clothing; mainly black, adorned with skulls, chains, and other macabre designsEarly on in the series, Ichikawa is a bitter social outcast, often having violent fantasies involving people who slight or annoy him. This, accompanied with his interest in true crime and fantasy stories has his internal monologue being that of a psychopathic killer. Despite this, he freezes up in social situations, and dislikes people who aren't considerate of other people's feelings, and detests people who bully, intimidate, or objectify others. He constantly worries about being put in the spotlight, ridiculed, or that his presence may cause other people problems or discomfort, even though much of that is only in his head. As a young boy going through puberty, Ichikawa's sexual impulses often get the better of him, particularly when Yamada does something inadvertently sensual around him.
Despite his flaws, Ichikawa is genuinely a kind-hearted and compassionate person deep down, he hates bullies and people making use of others without consenting to their feelings, he also cares a lot for his family members and has become even more outgoing and sociable thanks to interactions with his Yamada. Most of the plot of the series is Ichikawa growing out of his hatred of people, usually through his interactions with Yamada, who acts as his love interest and character foil.
While not a major aspect of his character, he is a bit of an otaku, enjoying action manga and things like moe anime girl figures. He spends a lot of his free time playing on his mobile game device, reading, or watching movies. Relationships
Yamada Anna
Ichikawa's relationship with Yamada is the core aspect of the story, and virtually every event in the manga circles around their interactions. Yamada initially symbolizes everything Ichikawa dislikes about society and school life, being a popular beauty who, at first glance, seems to have everything in her life together. Jealous of her outgoing attitude, which his negative outlook interprets as her constantly looking down on others, he claims she is "the girl I want to kill the most."
Their first proper interactions mainly revolved around the school library, usually through self-contained chapter "skits" involving Yamada sneaking into the library to snack, and Ichikawa being annoyed by her presence for interrupting his place of tranquility. Small interactions such as him awkwardly offering his box-cutter to cut some material, or giving her a fan when she is too hot causes them to drum up an off-kilter friendship. For Ichikawa, being able to have unique interactions from someone he initially considered unapproachable rapidly changes his opinion of her, and he finds himself being protective of Yamada, such as when she is pressured into giving her contact info to Nanjou while she is walking to school and he throws his bike into the river to derail their conversation. Near the end of the first volume, after she has her nose smashed and bloodied during a basketball game, Ichikawa sneaks into the infirmary because he is concerned for her, and admits to himself that he has feelings for her. Though Yamada can obliviously arouse Ichikawa's sexual impulses on occasion, he starts chiding himself more often for thinking indecent thoughts as his love for her grows stronger and he seems intent to form a deeper relationship with her; as such, he respects her personal boundaries, watches out for her welfare, takes care to observe her emotional cues and seeks to take an active interest in her modelling work, something which often makes her happy.
While Ichikawa quickly realizes that he has unique opportunities to interact with Yamada, his poor self-esteem and still-negative personality often causes him to dismiss her cues that she is also developing feelings for him, such as pretending she doesn't have an umbrella to have an excuse to interact with him and wear his raincoat, purposefully switching their named outfits, or asking for his LINE account. His feelings only grow over time, causing internal strife for him because he doesn't believe he is 'deserving' of her. His love (and resulting jealousy, etc.) can also occasionally be self-destructive, causing him to push her away when he believes she "uses" him to avoid Pickup-pai, when he gets sick after chasing after her in the rain because he believes she forgot her menstrual pads, or when he breaks his arm trying to give her an image of snow while visiting his grandparents.
Ultimately, however, Yamada is the primary catalyst for positive change in Ichikawa's life, and a great influence even beyond being a love interest. Through her, Ichikawa is able to create meaningful friendships with the other kids in his school, and participate in things he otherwise would have avoided, like the middle school's sports festival or trip.
Yamada later confesses to Ichikawa and they start dating around Chapter 113: My Love For Him.
Sekine Moeko
After Yamada, Sekine is the classmate that Ichikawa seems to have the best relationship with. She is aware of his relationship with her friend and both helps push it along while also teasing or bantering with him.
Sometimes the ways in which she tries to help seem to backfire, only to end up working out in the end, such as when she pretended to be Ichikawa's girlfriend to get him into Yamada's home without incident, ultimately ending with him getting some degree of approval from Sanae.
Her tendency to troll her friends often gets on his nerves, though, to the point that he seems to have a love-hate relationship with her.
Ichikawa Kana
Most of Kyoutarou's interactions with his older sister is centered around him being embarrassed of or because of her.
Kana is interested in, and wants to be involved in his life, especially when it comes to his blossoming relationship with Yamada. He, however, wants his family uninvolved with them as best as he can, usually causing comedic moments when he can't keep up the charade or keeps accidentally running into her while out with Yamada.
Despite getting irritated by her intrusive antics, Kyoutarou is still able to confide in his older sister, such as in manga chapter 71 when he gets emotional over the possibility of Yamada forgetting him one day and admitting that he does want to date her.
Adachi Shou
Adachi was initially one of the more disliked members of Ichikawa's classroom. His outwardly-perverted and blunt way of speaking consistently got on his nerves, though there were often moments where Ichikawa was hypocritically thinking the same thing as him.
Ichikawa frequently disapproved of or is appalled by Adachi's perverse means of getting Yamada's attention, particularly after his own feelings for her start to grow stronger; he later tries to intercept any interaction between them such as sampling Adachi's class cooking before Yamada could, and asking her to not speak to Adachi so much.
Ichikawa seemed to had the most violent fantasies involving Adachi, with one imagination point having him lamenting that there is nothing left to destroy.
Ichikawa slowly viewed Adachi more as a friend after their many encounters, with notable events including their work study visit, their conversation with Nanjou, Adachi's White Day gift for Sekine, and the cherry blossom viewing party.
Adachi knows that Yamada and Ichikawa are closely associated, being a frequent witness. He eventually suspected that the two may have gotten closer after White Day, to which his suspicions were confirmed to be true by Kanzaki and Oota in the anime.
As a result of wishing for closure, Adachi challenged Ichikawa to the upcoming sports festival's cavalry battle, to which Ichikawa accepts, much to Adachi's surprise.
During the cavalry battle, Adachi admits that despite his feelings for Yamada, he recognises Ichikawa as a good person, which caused him to feel conflicted.
Ichikawa called Adachi out for only liking Yamada for her looks, and that liking someone should be more than that, to which Adachi responded that he already knew that, and he simply wanted to lose on his own terms.
After recognising Yamada's handwriting on Ichikawa's forehead, Adachi smiled genuinely and his lingering feelings for her slowly faded ever since.
The two remained good friends and occasionally hang out with each other, along with Kanzaki and Oota, even after the change of classes during their 3rd year of middle school.

Though they don't interact much, Ichikawa is on good terms with Hara, who seems especially invested in his developing relationship with Yamada.
Even though he didn't initially intend to be, Ichikawa winds up being an external motivator for Hara's relationship with Kanzaki. Ichikawa seems to have a respect for Hara and is mostly satisfied when they temporarily became desk neighbors.
Additionally, she also seems to be a person he wishes to protect from bad impressions, such as when he takes the blame for painting Yamada's name over a tombstone for their classes' culture festival haunted house graveyard display, though she ultimately admits that she did so and was simply writing common surnames.Yamada is a popular and fashionable young woman with an outwardly bright personality, though this can sometimes be a front for her insecurities. She attends school alongside her classmates in Daijuni Middle School in Meguro, Tokyo, Class 2-3 (later 3-1).
Her stage name as a model/actress is Akino AnnYamada is a tall and curvaceous young Japanese girl who stands out when compared to her classmates. This causes some people to think that she is actually in high school or college. She wears fashionable and varied clothes when not at school, and has longish, straight, dark blue hair that extends below her shoulders. She has two birthmarks on the right side of her neck, and one on her inner left thighPersonality
Yamada on the surface has a very infectious and positive outlook on the world. She appears to be at the center of most of the social circles she is in, and is often the topic of discussion amongst her friend circle. Despite this, she seems to sometimes find that her relative fame and mature looks attracts shallow actors to her, such as Nanjou and Adachi. She has a mild case of androphobia because of this, and attempts to avoid contact with most men, such as when she refused to get powdered sugar on her cocoa bread when a boy was distributing it. Her friends seem aware of this, going out of their way to block men from coming in contact with her by forming a human wall around her.
Her sometimes flighty personality also causes her to abandon her personal projects and ambitions. She has internalized this as a fear of her own abandonment, compounded by her dread of having shallow interactions with others. She is a self-admitted crybaby, sometimes shedding tears over fairly minor things, though this doesn't usually last long. Given her immaturity, she can be, albeit unintentionally, somewhat physically possessive or domineering of people, especially those who are much smaller than her like Kobayashi and Ichikawa, though this is mostly played for comedy. Ultimately, Yamada is a very kind, sweet and loving girl who is very considerate of others, and constantly apologizes if something's wrong.
Yamada does work as a model and actress. While it is early in her career, she frets about her popularity, hoping people notice her in magazines and worrying about getting certain roles in movies or TV shows.
Due to the manga's nature in having Ichikawa be the main voice of the manga, much of Yamada's personality is demonstrated through background elements, connecting events and character statements, or her actions, unlike his internal monologues which spell out things more clearly.
ADVERTISEMENT Relationships
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Yamada and Ichikawa start the manga as virtual strangers. Her distrust of men initially makes her afraid he will sell her out when she is eating snacks in the library, but small interactions between the two let her become comfortable around him in time. She is initially taken in by his constant awareness of her actions, and willingness to help her despite acting annoyed or aloof, which she finds to be "funny," the highest form of praise in her mind. Her being aware of him wanting to please her has caused them problems, however, such as when she inadvertently hurt him when he got sick and when he broke his arm, both caused by her asking him to do things for her.
The plot of many chapters of the manga center around Yamada trying to get closer to or learn more about Ichikawa, but him not realizing it due to her unorthodox methods. Making pop quizzes designed to give away your personality and favorite things, or switching out jerseys and taking his raincoat so they can wear the same clothing are just some of the things she has done. Her outgoing personality and his introversion and self-doubt make discussion difficult between them. Despite this, she is very affectionate towards him, and dotes on his appearance or acts jealous if he gets too close to other girls.
To Yamada, Ichikawa is the right mixture of mysterious, aloof, but caring and sincere compared to how most of her interactions with other boys her age are largely shallow. She is also aware of his social anxiety and takes measures to push him to open himself up to others, like inviting him to her house to make chocolate.
It is implied at various points that Yamada may compare Ichikawa to the male lead of her favorite shoujo manga, Your Color's Octave. She may also compare him to her father, who has similar interests and personality to him.
Yamada later confesses to Ichikawa and they start dating around Chapter 113: My Love For Him.
Kobayashi Chihiro
Among the girls in Yamada's friend group, she seems to have the most interactions with Kobayashi, who she refers to as Chii.
The two have a notable pairing as the tallest and shortest members of their class, and a common gag is Kobayashi having to deal with bearing Yamada's weight via her sitting on top of her or giving her a piggy-back ride.
Ichikawa internally refers to Kobayashi as "Yamada's Boyfriend", because she and Yamada are close enough to act like a flirting couple, though it's never implied to be anything other than platonic.
Ichikawa often believes that Kobayashi is the one most aware of Yamada's emotional state, though she remains utterly oblivious to his and Yamada's burgeoning romance, and he may have overtaken her by later chapters.
Sekine Moeko
Yamada and Sekine are good friends, and they are close enough to address each other by their first names.
Sekine is the most trollish of Yamada's friend group, though this is usually just through being sarcastic and making snide comments.
Sekine's blunt personality sometimes hurts Yamada's feelings, like when she dismissed her part of a class project, or pretended Ichikawa was her boyfriend to get him into Yamada's apartment without issue.
The two are good friends despite Sekine's brash personality. She is one of the biggest supporters of her and Ichikawa's relationship, and sometimes acts as an indirect intermediary between the Yamada Sanae (山やま田だ 早さ苗なえ, Yamada Sanae) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
She is the wife of Yamada Yukina and the mother of Yamada Anna.Sanae is a tall, and slender attractive woman with short, black hair that extends just below her face and brown eyes.
She often wears a variety of high-fashion outfits Personality
Sanae is a fashionable middle-aged woman who acts outwardly strict, but she is actually quite kind.
Anna refers to her mother as acting strict in public, but is actually very kind and supportive. She gets onto her daughter for her posture and for hoarding candy during their first interaction with Ichikawa's mother. This appears to indicate that she puts heavy importance on public appearance. Ichikawa finds himself on the receiving end of her "initially strict, but then kind" personality when she initially judges him harshly for being a boy invited to her daughter's otherwise female-only chocolate-making gathering, but quickly warms up to him once the situation is cleared and she understands what is going onYamada Yukina (山やま田だ 雪ゆき菜な, Yamada Yukina) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
He is the husband of Yamada Sanae and the father of the secondary protagonist, Yamada Anna. He is a quiet but somewhat doting father that enjoys cooking and video gamesYukina is a very tall muscular man, well over a head taller than his daughter, who is known for her height. This, plus his overlong hair that tends to hide his face, makes him a very intimidating sight to those who don't know him.Personality
Yukina is a quiet and reserved figure, but his gruff and short manner of speaking makes him seem more threatening than he is. He works as a chef, which seems to have influenced his daughter's gluttonous habits. He enjoys playing video games, but doesn't often have people he can play with. Based off of their interactions and Anna's talks about him, he is very caring of his daughter, and seems to have some reservations about Ichikawa's interactions with her, like when he insinuated to him that it wasn't good for kids to be at other peoples' houses after she recently stayed at Ichikawa's place. Despite this, he seems to be forming a friendship with him.Relationships
Yamada Anna
Yukina appears to be a very standard protective father when it concerns his daughter. Yukina being a cook likely influenced her gluttony, in addition to the fact that he would feed her her favorite foods whenever she was sad.
Yamada Sanae
Yukina is deeply in love with his wife, and seems to be a bit clingy with her, as she implies when she answers Yukina's phone not knowing it is Ichikawa who is calling. Yukina shows his affection in many ways such as princess carrying her during the sports festival's scavenger hunt when one of the participants needed a couple madly in love.
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
At first Yukina was skeptical about Ichikawa as he met him outside his apartment and Ichikawa was wearing Anna's clothing. Yukina met Ichikawa again when Anna invited him alongside her friends to make Valentine chocolates.
Seeing Ichikawa again, and recognizing him from the elevator, he gave him what he thought was a menacing look, but he only asked if Ichikawa liked games. Sanae had to tell her husband to give Ichikawa some space as he was intimidating him.
When Ichikawa came to his apartment trying to find out information about Anna's condition after he thought she may have been attacked, Yukina invited him inside for some warm soup and allowed him to talk to his daughter through her mother's phone. He seemingly accepted him by offering his friend code on Smitch, offering to play Monster Hunter.Hara is a warm, no-nonsense young woman. She attended lessons with Ichikawa Kyoutarou and Yamada Anna in Class 2-3, although she eventually moved to a different class (Class 3-2). She is in an unofficial relationship with Kanzaki Kenta.Hara is slightly more overweight than the rest of the girls in her class. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.Personality
Hara is kind, and while generally soft-spoken, will quickly try to strike down anyone acting out of line. She also works to try and keep the peace whenever she feels conflict is happening between people she is friends with. She often worries about her weight, and often can't handle the stream of compliments sent her way by KanzakiRelationships
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Hara is one of Ichikawa's classmates and friends. She happily talks to him unlike the other students who avoid him, and helped him make the Haunted House poster and was touched that Ichikawa took the blame and scorn of the class when Hara wrote Yamada's name on the tombstone, making the class think that Ichikawa wanted Yamada dead. However, Hara immediately came clean and told them that Yamada was a common Japanese surname, and that she wasn't directing it at Anna. Hara also supports Ichikawa and Yamada's relationship and wishes for them to date, inviting Ichikawa and Yamada out for White Day along with her and Kanzaki.
Yamada Anna
Hara admires Yamada as a model but wonders how can she be such a glutton and yet stay so slender. They are equally interested in the concept of love and dating, and often talk about and compare their respective relationships' progress.
Kanzaki Kenta
Hara and Kanzaki are an unofficial couple. While their relationship seems stable, Hara has problems dealing with Kanzaki's overbearing "love-bombs", and has conflicting feelings over the fact that he seems to prefer her plump, while she wants to lose weight. She is one of the girls in Yamada Anna's friend circle. Attentive and sociable, she sometimes helps push Yamada and Ichikawa Kyoutarou's relationship behind the scenes.
Appearance
Yoshida often has her light-brown hair up in a ponytail. She is the second tallest member of her group, with Yamada only being about half-a-head taller. She tends to wear more "street" style clothing when out on her own, and may be something of a delinquent.Personality
Yoshida is often depicted as the most mature and skeptical amongst her friends, and also the most attentive. She recognizes that Ichikawa had been to Yamada's house before they were all invited to make chocolate based off him pushing the elevator buttons without being prompted and heading for the restroom without direction, both of which went totally over Sekine's head. She appears to be the one that recommends the wallet chain to Yamada as a gift for Ichikawa, as she checks it out with approval once he is wearing it. She also seems to like "tough" boys and yankee types, though she sometimes acts as though she's above things like romance.Relationships
Yamada Anna
Yoshida is a close friend of Yamada, and is very supportive of her. They went to the same elementary school, making them older friends than the rest of the girls.
Kobayashi Chihiro
Yoshida often gets exasperated by Kobayashi's obliviousness, as seen when Kobayashi asked why Ichikawa came to Yamada's apartment when Yamada invited him over. Yoshida sometimes serves as the reigns for Kobayashi when she is unaware of the situation.
Sekine Moeko
Yoshida is really close with Sekine, she cares for her but hates it when she messes with people, as seen when Sekine pretended to be Ichikawa's girlfriend and played it too far, so Yoshida spoke up and scolded her as she was making both Yamada and Ichikawa uncomfortable.
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Yoshida is fairly neutral with Ichikawa. She rarely talks to him, but she doesn't hate him either. After Ichikawa got a haircut, Yoshida noticed that it was slightly off, so she borrowed some hair wax from Adachi and "fixed" his hair for him, to his dismay.
Adachi Shou
Yoshida disliked Adachi when he was being a pervert. When Adachi was conducting the "personality tests" he found online to find which "position" the girls were into, Yoshida touched his hand with her foot in her shoe, as she refused to touch him directly. Yoshida then found the "personality tests" from searching online and figured his motive, which disgusted her.
The two, along with Sekine, share a common interest in the Crows series and were seen talking about it after the Akita Shoten visit.
Kanaoya Rin
They have known each other for a long time, since elementary school. When Kanaoya accidentally hit Yamada with a basketball, Yoshida was angry with her for carelessly hurting Yamada and trying to laugh it off. Since Kanaoya did genuinely apologize to Yamada later on, hence, Yoshida forgave her and also apologized for her harsh tone. She is a fashionable young woman with a mischievous streak, and Ichikawa Kyoutarou's and Yamada Anna's classmate in Class 2-3 (later 3-1).Sekine's design has elements of the gyaru subculture, namely her light hair color and manner of dress. She is often depicted with the anime-style "cat smile" w-shape.Personality
Sekine has the most outgoing personality of her friend group, and she seems to act out certain "cutesy" tropes, like often referring to herself in third person, or posing on big announcements or proclamations. While she is a good friend, she enjoys messing with people, and even when she is helping this usually comes at the cost of her trolling.Relationships
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Sekine becomes a friend to Ichikawa through their shared relationship with Yamada. She teases him when he begins opening up to Yamada and her friend group, saying she was surprised he could talk, but also tries to help him get out of his shell and pushes the relationship further in a variety of ways.
She calls him out for claiming that Nanjou is "misreading" his and Yamada's relationship, while also getting him out of a situation where he is trying to get information out of Ichikawa. She also helps to get him into Yamada's apartment by pretending to be his girlfriend, which later gets him closer to both Yamada and puts him on good terms with her mother. That said, her penchant for messing with him often makes him angry, to the point that many of their interactions are two steps forwards, one step back.
Season 1 Gallery Adachi Shou
Sekine and Adachi often bump heads, with Sekine well aware of Adachi's perverted advances and calling them out. Notable incidents include the time Adachi persuaded Yamada and her friends to take the "personality tests" he found online, and Adachi attempting to join Yamada's group for the work study visit.
When Sekine gave the boys Valentine's chocolates, Adachi incidentally picked one with a heart-shaped nut inside, which he mistook it as a sign of affection for him.
Despite the misunderstanding, he was serious about picking a suitable White Day gift for Sekine, as noted by Ichikawa. He sought advice from Nanjou, who suggested lingerie as a trap, but Ichikawa quickly dissuaded Adachi.
Adachi eventually settled on buying cookies from a convenience store. Upon discovering that Adachi relied on someone else to relay his gift, his mother forcefully brought him back to thank Sekine for the Valentine's chocolate directly.
After Adachi thanked Sekine for the chocolate, she insisted that the chocolates were for all the boys and didn't mean anything special, to which he retorted that her generosity of making chocolates for all the boys is what makes her nice. Upon hearing this, Sekine was at a loss for words, blushing for a moment.
In the anime, Sekine placed her wet towel over Adachi's head after his "defeat" during the cavalry battle against Ichikawa, possibly implying that she has grown a newfound respect and/or care for him after White Day.Kobayashi Chihiro (小こ林ばやし ちひろ, Kobayashi Chihiro) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.

She has short, brown hair and brown eyes.Though Kobayashi has a somewhat childish personality, she usually acts as a brash straight man to Yamada's antics, calling her out for disappearing when she should be working on something, or when she smacks herself while trying to use a fan to cool off. She also has a tendency to be oblivious of certain more "mature" things, like romance, as she seems to be the only one who doesn't realize Yamada and Ichikawa's feelings towards each otherRelationships
Yamada Anna
Kobayashi and Yamada seem to be best friends, and in a lot of ways polar opposites. She is sometimes used by other characters (namely Ichikawa) to get a feel for her mood. They have a comedy routine where the (considerably larger) Yamada uses Kobayashi as a form of transport or as furniture. Ichikawa internally refers to Kobayashi as "Yamada's Boyfriend" due to their skit, which the other boys enforce by comparing her sitting on Kobayashi's lap to them performing skinship. That said, Kobayashi often complains about Yamada's carefree attitude, and they are known to bicker with each other at times, with Kobayashi often insulting her by calling her a "giant".
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Kobayashi thinks very little of Ichikawa at first, she seems to have double standards when it comes to him, for example calling Yamada's keychain cute but calling Ichikawa gross for having the same keychain. Kobayashi did show concern when she saw that Ichikawa had broken his arm. Kobayashi often fails to read the room or mood as shown when she asked why Ichikawa was at Yamada's apartment even though Yamada invited him, and during the karaoke segment where she didn't realize why he was there.Andou Kanna (安あん堂どう カンナ, Andō Kan'na) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
Andou is notable for her obsession with other peoples' relationships. She becomes Ichikawa Kyoutarou and Yamada Anna's classmate in their third year, in Class 3-1.Andou has medium-brown, almost purplish hair that is tied into twin-tails using small, black ribbons. The lower half of her face is always obscured, usually by her face mask, but once by shadows. Personality
Andou has an unhealthy obsession with celebrating the relationships of other people without their consent. She accomplishes this through her friends, who create flash-mobs for the unsuspecting couple, complete with congratulatory banners and confetti. This causes problems for Ichikawa and Yamada, who want to keep their relationship quiet, but also don't want to constantly have to avoid each other for fear of being exposed.Nanjou Haruya (南なん条じょう ハルヤ, Nanjō Haruya) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
He was a 3rd year middle school student at the beginning of the series, he graduated later on. A suave, but shallow playboy, Nanjou took an interest in Yamada Anna for her looks and social status. He served as a recurring antagonist for Ichikawa Kyoutarou.Nanjou has dyed blonde hair, but leaves the area below the top of his ears a natural black color. He is drawn with especially simple eyes compared to most of the cast, usually just having pupils as two circular lines. Personality
Forceful and persistent, Nanjou is drawn to attractive women. He attempts to use pickup-lines and compliments to get their attention, to mixed success. He doesn't tend to take hints well while having a tendency to annoy people, only backing down after expressly being told "no." He is good at manipulating the flow of conversation to get the topic back to where he wants it. He is willing to use small amounts of force to get his way, such as when he grabbed Yamada's arm to intimidate her into giving her LINE account to him. That said, he appears willing to help people if the situation calls for it, such as aiding in fishing out Ichikawa's bike from the river when he throws it.Ichikawa Kana (市いち川かわ 香か菜な, Ichikawa Kana) is a secondary character in Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, and the protagonist of the upcoming spin-off Rabukomedi ga Hajimaranai.
Kana is the elder sister of the protagonist, Ichikawa Kyoutarou. She seems easygoing, but likes to involve herself in her brother's life because of his reclusive nature. She attends university as a student, and occasionally does odd-jobs around town. She is highly sensitive to the fact she doesn’t have a love life but her younger brother does.Kana has chin-length brown hair. She has blue eyes that appear as small circles within circles, a design element she shares with the rest of her family. She was described as "pretty cute" by Adachi.Personality
Kana is a caring, but sometimes prying older sister to Kyoutarou.
Because she is aware of her brother's antisocial behavior, she becomes very interested in his relationship with Yamada, and wants to know more about her, much to his chagrin.
Despite this, he has confided in her about their relationship a few times when he was unsure about what to do. She is also very earnest at times.
While waiting up to and during the starting days of her job she bought a takoyaki pan and practiced creating takoyaki for days on end and had her family members try eating them.Relationships
Ichikawa Kyoutarou
Kana acts as a pretty typical big sister to Kyoutarou. She becomes concerned, but then very interested when she realizes how close he has become to Yamada.
She constantly asks him questions about their relationship and tries to fish info out of him about how they interact.
Outside of that, she is often a source of constant embarrassment for him, showing up when he doesn't expect her, or showing off old school pictures. She seems to have some measure of jealousy about his success in romance compared to her own.
Yamada Anna
Kana seems to have a small obsession or even a kind of platonic crush on Yamada.
She seems pleased, but also surprised, that her little brother seems to have started such a close relationship with a popular, tall beauty like her.
She seems to view her as the sister she never had, even inviting her to stay at their house overnight on one occasion.Ichikawa Yumiko
She is the mother of Kana and Kyoutarou, and wife to Yuusaku. She appears to be a fairly normal housewife, and does cooking and cleaning around their home, though she also works part-time at a drug store. 46 years old.Ichikawa Yuusaku
