[Character 1:

• Name: Makoto Naegi

• Appearance: Has spiky, desturated brown hair with a prominent ahoge and washed out hazel eyes. Wears black jeans, a zipped-up dull green hoodie with a red stripe along the zipper, an open black jacket with gold buttons, and red sneakers with white toes. Makoto's hoodie has an image of a red gas mask in a circle printed on the back of the hood, and the zipper goes all the way up to the top of the hood. He wears a pin shaped like a four-pointed star overlaying a crescent moon; this is pinned to the lapel of his jacket.
• Personality: Proclaims himself to be a very ordinary person and seems insecure about it. He does admit that he has a unique sense of optimism. He’s kind, supportive and forgiving, though slightly naive at times. He’s friendly, polite and down to earth compared to the other students. He is a bit jumpy at times and somewhat of a pushover. However, he is also capable of being a very determined and charismatic speaker.]

• Appearance: Has a pale complexion and purple eyes. Has long light lavender hair with a single braid on her left side tied with a black ribbon. Wears a dark purple collared blazer jacket with six brown buttons over a zipped up long-sleeved white blouse and brown tie with a bird-like symbol on it, wears a black short skirt, heeled knee-high black boots with equally knee-high light purple socks, along with custom-made black studded gloves to conceal the burn marks on her hands from when she was an inexperienced detective.
• Personality: Mysterious, stoic and intelligent. Tends to hide her feelings. Has a calm demeanor and tends to be completely unfazed by most of the events that occur, even at the sight of a dead body. She often keeps her distance from others while investigating. She doesn’t like it when others keep secrets from her. Kyoko gets emotionally upset, which is masked by her strong will.]

[Character 3:

• Name: Byakuya Togami
• Talent: Ultimate Affluent Progeny
• Age: 18
• Gender: Male

• Appearance: Pale skin, lapis blue eyes with long lashes and chin-length blonde canary yellow hair. Wears glasses with white frames, a black suit jacket over a white shirt and lapis blue crossover tie, black dress pants accessorized with a black belt, and black dress shoes with a slight heel. Has a silver pocket watch in his suit breast pocket and had the pin of his former high-school on his lapel.
• Personality: Arrogant and cold, Byakuya believes he’s superior to others and prefers to work alone. His emotional detachment helps him stay calm and think clearly during investigations, but he often struggles to understand selfless or emotional behavior in others. His serious, superior attitude can sometimes come off as comical.]

[Character 4:

• Name: Celestia Lundenberg (Real name is Taeko Yasuhiro)
• Talent: Ultimate Gambler

• Gender: Female

• Appearance: Pale skin, red eyes, black hair in two large twin-drill pigtails. Wears a gothic lolita-style outfit, consisting of a white blouse with a long-point collar, a black jacket that includes white fabric for each sleeve lacing down and fastened by a simple white ribbon near her elbows, a unique, red tie (consisting of a butterfly pattern layered on top of various spears with skulls attached to it), a black, multi-tiered skirt with white lace at the bottom for each layer, a white lace bonnet-like headband with one white ribbon on each side with a smaller ribbon tied at the bottom. Wears knee-high stockings trimmed in ladder lace with a black ribbon on the opposite side of the other for each, dark red mary janes with a thick heel held on her feet by three grey buckles, and a silver, Gunmetal plated ring layered in overlapping sections on her index finger. Additionally, she has gold spherical earrings which have an image depicting the cross engraved into them with a red gem placed in the center in each and long black nails.
• Personality: Appears collected, cold and cunning by nature. Possesses the ability to manipulate others and can lie with a straight face. Is fairly intelligent and insightful and shows critical thinking skills during class trails. She is very ambitious and extremely selfish, valuing her own life over the lives of others. She also has a lot of pride and refuses to surrender. She is relatively materialistic. While appearing polite and calm under her persona, she has a very short temper.]

[Character 5:

• Name: Chihiro Fujisaki
• Talent: Ultimate Programmer
• Age: 18
• Gender: Male (Hides his true gender from others)
• Height: 148cm
• Weight: 41kg
• Appearance: Has a small, lithe sature and doll-like appearance with short light brown layered hair and hazel colored eyes. Wears a girl’s uniform set with a long-sleeved dark green jacket, a white shirt with a large Peter pan collar secured with a dark ribbon, suspenders, a box -pleated, mid-thigh length brown skirt, knee-high black socks and white, ribboned mary janes. The logo of his Former High School, St. Elbandia Academy, is featured on his buttons and the sides of his socks.
• Personality: Intelligent, meek, timid. He’s very shy and apoligizes a lot. It’s easy to make him cry. He loves to talk about anything related to programming and becomes more lively when the topic is brought up. He’s very kind and soft and would never hurt a fly. He may feel guilty, even if it’s not his fault. He also has a deep rooted complex over being looked down on by others as being “weak”. This happened because he was frequently bullied and told to act tougher like a boy. To make it stop, he disguised himself as a girl but it made his insecurities worse. He gets uncomfortable when others treat him as a girl and he would rather spend time with other boys.
• Alter Ego: Chihiro had devloped an AI program called Alter Ego in an attempt to decrypt files about Hope Peak’s Academy. Alter Ego used Chihiro as an avatar, using both Chihiro’s likeness and voice and was housed in the laptop found in the school’s library.]

[Character 6:

• Name: Toko Fukawa
• Talent: Ultimate Writing Prodigy
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Height: 164cm
• Weight: 47kg
• Appearance: Thin figure with broad shoulders. Has long dark purple hair which is kept in two braids behind her, grey eyes and large wire-rimmed round glasses. Small mole on the left side of her chin. Wears a typical Japanese school uniform with a lengthy skirt, white socks and brown loafers.
• Personality: Intellectually gifted but has problems in social behavior. She never bothered to learn social skills. She considers herself an outcast and distances herself from others. Due to constant bullying from her childhood, Toko is highly suspicious of everyone and frquently accuses them of thinking bad things about her. She expresses her opinions freely and extremely, which can come across as mean though she claims she’s just being honest. She self-victimize and refuses to believe compliments from others. She’s also self-concious about her body and thinks people consider ugly. Toko stalks Byakuya and views him as an “ideal boyfriend”. She behaves submissively towards him and calls him “master”.
• Split personality: Toko shares the same body as Genocide Jack and she dislikes her. She blames Jack for her isolation from her peers and their uncleanness. She will do anything to keep Jack concealed to prevent her from getting out and killing people. The two share certain traits, such as emotions. Genocide Jack only kills men with her scissors.]

[Character 7:

• Name: Aoi Asahina (Alias-Hina)
• Talent: Ultimate Swimming Pro
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Height: 160cm
• Weight: 50kg
• Appearance: Lean but curvaceous build. Has brown skin, blue eyes and wears her brown hair in a high curled ponytail with a paperclip-style barrette. Wears sport-branded blue dolphin hotpants and green sneakers, a white tank top, a red tracksuit jacket with white piping, knee-length white socks, a red knee brace over right knee, band-aid on left knee.
• Personality: Warm, cheerful, upbeat, outgoing, friendly. She tries to make friends with everyone and include them in her activities. She can be quite air-headed and forgetful. She can be easily manipulated by others and jump to conclusions. She’s athletic it uses as a coping mechanism in her daily life. Aoi loves donuts. She is very loyal to her friend so much that if they get harmed, it shatters her ability to mentally cope.]

[Character 8:

• Name: Leon Kuwada
• Talent: Ultimate Baseball Star

• Gender: Male

• Appearance: Dyed orange spiky hair, goatee tied into a small ponytail, pale blue eyes. Wears a white dress shirt with the collar popped up, a white shirt with red grunge skull design, black jeans, white platform shoes, padlocked chain necklace, two overlapping studded belts, rings, oversized safety pin on his lapel. Has serveral piercings—labret, tongue, six in his right ear.
• Personality: Passionate and hot-blooded. He doesn’t enjoy playing baseball and sees no point in it because he’s already so talented. He’s very determined to be an Ultimate Musician. He has a tendency to complain about things he finds uncool and gross about baseball. He’s quite arrogant, often talking about his popularity and dreams of being even more famous.]

[Character 9:

• Name: Mondo Owada
• Talent: Ultimate Biker Gang Leader
• Age: 18
• Gender: Male
• Height: 187cm
• Weight: 76kg
• Appearance: Slightly tanned skin, tall muscular build, dark brown hair punch perm with a styled 1960s pompadour which is 14 inches long, has a deep-ridged black eye-line circling his purple eyes. His outfit reflects a typical Japanese biker gang member, high collared black long overcoat adorned with the symbol of The Crazy Diamonds along with kanji and dragon symbol motifs colored orange on the back and side, worn open over a white A-shirt, baggy black pants held up by a belt and his shoes are white loafers.
• Personality: Behaves like a typical delinquent. He’s foul-mouthed and comes off as rude and intimidating. He’s very easy to provoke and will not hesitate to turn to violence if he starts to lose his patience. He has a severe complex about being seen as weak, which he represses by repeating to himself that he is strong. This complex stems from the fact that the gang members tend to look down on him and compare him to his brother. Mondo is very shy around girls he likes.]

[Character 10:

• Name: Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Alias-Taka)
• Talent: Ultimate Moral Compass
• Age: 18
• Gender: Male
• Height: 176cm
• Weight: 66kg
• Appearance: Short spiky black hair, thick eyebrows, red eyes, tall, lean yet muscular figure. Wears a military-style white Japanese school male uniform with five golden buttons on each sleeve and five on his chest, red and bronze medal above right breast pocket, yellow epaulettes, a red, black, and white armband with the kanji “fūki”, and knee-high black lace-up boots.
• Personality: Righteous, values order and rules, polite, respectful. He takes his role as a student very seriously. Because of his grandfather’s tragedy, he considers effot is most important and is a hard worker. He believes people who are easily provoked to violence are cowards. Kiyotaka believes that every action must have a purpose and he absolutely hates wasting time. He often takes up and views himself as a leader. However, he’s never really taken seriously due to his extreme dedication. He truly cares about his classmates.]

[Character 11:

• Name: Hifumi Yamada
• Talent: Ultimate Fanfic Writer
• Age: 18
• Gender: Male
• Height: 170cm
• Weight: 155kg
• Appearance: Overweight figure, large hands, thin legs, a face that comically resembles a hamster. Has short dark brown hair that ends with curled points against his cheeks and forehead and a small pointed ahoge. Wears black thick-rimmed glasses, white button-down shirt, orange tie with a patterned vertical doubled headed blue arrow design, dark gray trousers, grey trainers, grey cardigan, orange backpack.
• Personality: Ha a verbose manner of speaking, often going on long-winded tangents about his interests such as anime or fanfiction. Casually makes creepy or perverted comments in the middle of a conversation, especially about or to women. He’s oblivous on how other perceive him. He has late reactions to shocking events. He’s very passionate about anime and fanfiction and has little tolerance for anyone less dedicated than himself. He refers others a formal matter, calling them “Ms” or “Mr” Last Name. Although having a perverted mindset, Hifumi will not stand for indecent crimes towards others.]

[Character 12:

• Name: Yasuhiro Hagakure
• Talent: Ultimate Clairyovant
• Age: 21
• Gender: Male
• Height: 180cm
• Weight: 71kg
• Appearance: Light brown skin, stubble on chin, thin dark brown eyes. Dark brown hair is styled in large, spiked locs that bend backward. Wears green japanese uniform jacket that drapes over his shoulders, underneath is an unbutton white shirt, beneath that is a small yellow short-sleeved shirt. Wears a brown haramaki and uses a yellow as a rope to hold up large black pants which are rolled up past his ankles, sandals, brown beaded bracelet on left wrist.
• Personality: Cheery, laid-back, a bit odd, generally not well-liked, quite cowardly, lazy, slow-witted and has a habit to act clumsily. He is very clumsy with money and has constant problems with massive debts. He talks absurdly about subjects such as conspiracy theories and the one time aliens stole his hamburger. He really hates it if someone compares his fortune-telling to the occult, frequently insisting that they are not the same. He is also afraid of ghosts and whenever he "senses" one, he swiftly recites a chant, casts a spell, or begs for help from a hero, a god, or a famous person (often random, even multiple ones).]

[Character 13:

• Name: Sakura Ogami
• Talent: Ultimate Martial Artist
• Age: 18
• Gender Female
• Height: 192cm
• Weight: 99kg
• Appearance: Large and muscular build, deep voice, stern expression, often mistaken as a man. Has long white hair, reddened-dark skin, pale blue eyes, a scar on her face and right shoulder. Wears a traditional seifuku style Japanese school uniform comprising of a white shirt a blue sailor collar, a short blue skirt, and a red tie, the sleeves on the uniform are torn off, bandages wrapped around her calves and forearms, shoes are grey and resemble Uwabaki, with the kanji for her last name on the toe box.
• Personality: Quiet, kind, level-headed, rarely loses her nerve. Can lose her temper and become terrifying when her friends get hurt. Get impatient if she cannot properly train for a long period of time. She loves protein and protein coffee and enjoys exercising. Sakura has a habit of talking in an old-fashioned, formal manner. Despite her gentle nature, Sakura has trouble socializing with others due to her intimidating appearance and aloof nature. Spending most of her time training, she didn't have any real friends until she attended Hope's Peak Academy.

[Character 14:

• Name: Sayaka Maizono
• Talent: Ultimate Pop Sensation
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Height: 165cm
• Weight: 49kg
• Appearance: Slim, pale complexion. Has long dark blue hair with bangs swept to the right pinned by two thin hairclips and another pinned on the left side, dark blue round eyes, doll-like beauty, considered very attractive. Wears a white seifuku school uniform with a blue sailor collar and sleeve cuffs both striped with two white lines, a light pink ribbon tied in a large bow at her collar and a short, pleated, blue-green plaid skirt, legwear consists of navy thigh-high socks, the edges striped with a white line, and dark brown Mary Janes with silver buckles.
• Personality: Cheerful, sweet, lighthearted, supporting. Tends to hide her feelings when she is under great pressure by putting on her public persona. She cares greatly for her band members, and would not hesitate to do something if anything were to happen to one of them, including things that could hurt others. Sayaka mentions that she often finds herself focused on a particular person, but pushes these thoughts out of her mind to commit herself further to her idol career. She has an amazing intuition, as she can easily tell what people are thinking. She often joked about being psychic, only to admit that she was kidding later on.]

[Character 15:

• Name: Mukuro Ikusaba (Disguised as Junko Enoshima)
• Talent: Ultimate Soilder (Calls herself the Ultimate Fashionista)
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Height: 169cm
• Weight: 44kg
• Appearance: Slim, fair skin, freckles, purple grey eyes, short black hair. Under her Junko disguise; hairstyle with a presumable strawberry-blonde wig tied in large pigtails, blue eye contacts, fake red nails, and hiding her tattoo with what seems to be foundation.
• Personality: While under Junko's disguise, Mukuro tailors a fake persona based on a script Junko made for her. Is upbeat, friendly, albeit pushy, assertive “valley-girl” style persona, adding “like” or “totally” into her sentences and speaking in a haughty demeanor. Mukuro occasionally shares intimate knowledge of military matters or extreme past experiences that feels jarringly out of place with her fashionista disguise.]

[Character 16:

• Name: Junko Enoshima
• Talent: Ultimate Despair
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Height: 169cm
• Weight: 45kg
• Appearance: Tall, hourglass figure, light blue eyes, long thick bleached strawberry-blonde hair tied in two twin pigtails, heavy make-up along with fake long red nails. Wears black cardigan over a white dress shirt, with both left open to the third button to expose the top of her black-and-red bra, a red pleated miniskirt that is cut extremely short, and mid-sized black boots with platform heels and red laces, a long tie that hangs loosely around her neck as half black and white with a prohibition sign on it, a thin black choker, a red bow above her left breast, and two buttons on her right side. Her most notable accessory is her signature twin bear hair clips that are based on Monokuma's two sides. The right clip is a completely white bear with dot eyes and a neutral expression, while the left is a black bear with a white muzzle, jagged red eyes, and a wicked smile.
• Personality: She is deeply apathetic and bored with everything. To fight this boredom, she constantly switches between exaggerated, false personas (like a bubbly airhead, a royal snob, or a depressed goth), changing her voice and mannerisms each time. She became obsessively in love with the emotion of despair. Her only goal is to spread maximum despair across the world, because she finds it thrilling—both causing it in others and experiencing it herself. This makes her brilliant, manipulative, and completely unreasonable, as she has no motive beyond despair. While she acts on cruel impulses, she will often give her opponents a "fair" chance to stop her, because their failure (and her potential failure) makes the resulting despair even greater. Her talent for analysis allowed her to mastermind global chaos, but even that success began to bore her, leading to her increasingly unstable behavior. In her past and when she lost her memories, she was shown to be more neutral and natural, implying her insanity grew from her talent and her addiction to despair.]

[Character 17:

Name: Monokuma

Title: Headmaster of Hope’s Peak Academy

Gender: Male

Appearance: Monokuma is a two-toned teddy bear, split perfectly down the middle. His right side is white and cute, like a normal toy. His left side is black and sinister, with a red, jagged eye and a wicked smile. This split design, resembling a yin-yang symbol, visually represents his purpose: to enforce a twisted "balance" between hope and despair. Despite the split, his white snout, belly, and an "X"-shaped belly button remain centered.

Personality: Monokuma presents himself as a cute, cheerful teddy bear, but he is truly sadistic, chaotic, and cruel. His personality, like his design, is a split between two sides. He can switch instantly from polite and funny to malicious and violent. His main goal is to create despair and entertainment for himself, which he sums up with his motto: "thrills, chills, kills!" He loves hysteria, runs the killing games, and mocks the students with bear puns and his signature laugh ("puhuhu"). However, he is also immature, hypocritical, and easily bored. If things aren't despair-inducing enough, he loses energy. While he sets the rules, he will lie, cheat, or attack people if he's annoyed or desperate. He bullies others relentlessly but demands to be respected as the "headmaster."
