Makoto: Makoto is very kind, supportive and forgiving, though slightly naive at times. He is friendly, polite and a lot more down-to-earth compared to the other students. He has spiky, desaturated brown hair with a prominent ahoge, and washed-out hazel eyes. He wears black jeans, a zipped-up dull green hoodie with a red stripe zipper.

Kyoko: An enigmatic girl whose talent was unknown from the beginning, Kyoko is a relatively tall, pretty girl with purple eyes and a pale complexion. She wears her lavender hair down and with a braid on the side, tied with a black ribbon. Her outfit consists of a dark purple collared jacket over a white blouse and brown tie, along with a short skirt and heeled knee-high boots

Byakuya: Byakuya is a cold and self-centered person who is very reserved. Byakuya is 185cm (6'1”) and weighs around 68kg, with a tall, slender build and strikingly long legs. He has pale skin, lapis blue eyes with noticeably long eyelashes, and has chin-length blonde canary yellow hair. He wears a black suit jacket over a white shirt and lapis blue crossover tie.

Toko: She is a depressed novelist with a persecution complex Toko is of average height and possesses a thin figure with somewhat broad shoulders. She has long dark purple hair which she keeps in two braids behind her, grey eyes and large wire-rimmed round glasses.

Yasuhiro: Yasuhiro is one of the more cheery, laid-back students, though a bit odd as well. However, he is generally not well-liked and he himself has openly admitted that he has no friends, being quite cowardly, lazy, slow-witted, and having a habit to act selfishly. He has light brown skin with stubble on his chin and thin dark brown eyes. His dark brown hair is styled in dreadlocks that stick out as large points.

Aoi: Aoi is a very energetic and bubbly person, who is very passionate about athletics. She is slightly airheaded, constantly forgetting the names of her fellow students She has brown skin, blue eyes, and wears her brown hair in a very high curled ponytail.

Leon: Leon is a passionate, hot-blooded young teenager. He often slacked off from studying and baseball practice; however, his baseball skills were never diminished due to his status as Ultimate Baseball Star. In fact, he hated to practice, seeing no point or enjoyment in it because he was already so talented. Leon had dyed red spiked hair, a goatee, and pale blue eyes. He wears a white blazer jacket with a popped collar, a white shirt with a red grunge skull design, dark blue jeans and white platform shoes with a black sole.

Sayaka: As an idol, Sayaka is a cheerful, sweet and supporting girl. Sayaka develops a bond with Makoto Naegi, whom she considers her friend, assisting him on every occasion. Sayaka is a slim girl of average height with a pale complexion. She has long, dark blue hair flowing past her waist, the hair framing her face cut shorter at elbow-length, with bangs swept to the right. Two thin hairclips can be found pinned on her bangs to her right, another pinned on the left side of her face.

Chihiro: Chihiro was a very intelligent boy, but he also had a very meek and timid personality. He was very shy and apologizes a lot - it's easy to intimidate him to the point of tears. However, he also loved to talk about anything related to his work as a programmer and he becomes more lively whenever the topic is brought up. Chihiro has a small, lithe stature and doll-like appearance with short, light brown, layered hair and hazel colored eyes

Mondo: Behaving like a stereotypical delinquent, Mondo is foul-mouthed and can come off as a rude and intimidating individual. When Makoto first met Mondo he did his best to keep the conversation short, as he realized Mondo could become easily aggravated depending on what was said. He has a deep-ridged black eye-line circling his purple eyes, which gives him an intimidating appearance

Kiyotaka: enthusiastic to the point of being mad", Kiyotaka believes that every action must have a purpose and he absolutely hates wasting time. Fitting his talent, Kiyotaka often takes up and views himself as a leader, as seen when he organizes the morning meeting for the other students. He has short, spiky black hair, large and long matching eyebrows, and intense red eyes. He wears a military-style white Japanese school male uniform

Hifumi: At firsy, Hifumi appears to be a young high school-aged teenager, but due to the memory loss, he is two years older than he believed. He has an overweight figure, with large hands, thin legs, and a face that comically resembles a hamster

Celestia: Celestia has a skinny figure and pale skin. She has black hair (in the video it is shown as dark deep blue) in two large twin-drill pigtails (which are apparently clip-ons as mentioned in the art book), red eyes, gold earrings, and black nail polish.

Sakura: Nicknamed 'The Ogre', Sakura is a world-class fighter, often mistaken for a man due to her muscular physique and deep voice. She sparked an unlikely friendship with Hina, who shares a passion for intense training. She is 6'4" and weighs 218lbs, making her the largest of her classmates. Her large build, deep voice and stern appearance often causes Sakura to be mistaken for a man. She has long white hair, reddened-dark skin; very pale blue eyes, and a scar on her face and right shoulder.

Alter ego: Alter Ego is a friendly AI model whose personality resembles that of Chihiro Fujisaki, his creator. Although, when portraying another person, Alter Ego can change his personality to fit the person.

Junko: As the mastermind and leader of Ultimate Despair, Junko was shown to be highly intelligent, cunning, somewhat impulsive, extremely manipulative, and violent and cruel without remorse. She was a highly toxic individual, being both physically and mentally abusive to everyone around her.

Mukuro: As "Junko Enoshima", Mukuro acts very much like her sister based on her talent; someone who is eagerly outgoing, friendly and has some extravagant tastes in fashion. According to Junko herself, however, Mukuro doesn't truly understand the world around her as she lacks social skills and communication to others.

Hajime lost all of his memories previous to the game's events, and can't even remember his ultimate skill. Hajime always tries to stay positive.

Nagito acquired his place at the academy by winning the raffle. Nagito Komaeda is the Ultimate Lucky Student, experiencing a cycle of good and bad luck that ultimately works in his favour and has a weird obsession with “hope”.

Gundham Tanaka is The Ultimate Breeder and it is said that Tanaka is capable of taming any animal. Not only has he managed to proliferate an endangered species, but can apparently talk to animals. He keeps his hamsters, The Four Dark Devas of Destruction, in his scarf, and one day believes that, together, they can take over the world.

Teruteru Hanamura is The Ultimate Cook. Though he's from the countryside, Teruteru likes to pretend he's a city man. His passions include food and sex--he thinks he has a chance with most of his classmates.

Nekomaru's booming voice is only matched by his powerfully built body. Using both, he has trained many sports teams and players, turning them from slumps to professional athletes. He has just one weakness: major gastrointestinal problems. He is the Ultimate Team Manager.

Fuyuhiko takes duty very seriously, and if there's someone who he can trust, he will open his heart and cooperate with them. Despite having no compunctions about murder or framing others for his crimes, he takes more trivial violations of honor and moral codes seriously. He is the Ultimate Yakuza.

Akane performs perfect gymnastics--when she feels like it. Despite her talent, she has no prior training in gymnastics and therefore has a tendency to improvise and not take things seriously. She is the Ultimate Gymnast.

A passionate gamer, Chiaki is knowledgable about all genres of video-games. She likes to plan her words carefully before she speaks, meaning conversation can be a little slow. She has the tendency to fall asleep when she gets too comfortable, despite the chaos around her. Chiaki is the Ultimate Gamer

Sonia Nevermind is the princess of Novoselic, usually kind and gentle and acts like a princess. Sonia is the Ultimate Princess.

Mahiru has won several photography awards, and is especially good at taking pictures of people. She cares about her friends and is good at taking care of others. Mahiru holds boys in high regard: as soon as one acts unreliable, she'll lecture them. Mahiru is the Ultimate Photographer.

Kazuichi Soda, The Ultimate Mechanic, is a highly emotional character, though he tries to play it smooth and acts carefree at first. He is a very jumpy person, easily scared and often screaming in fear. He is a massive simp for Sonia.

Mikan Tsumiki Is The Ultimate Nurse, she is usually shy and nervous plus a big push over and cries easily.

Ibuki Mioda, The Ultimate Musician. Once part of a hugely-successful band, Ibuki now pursues a solo career. She's very energetic, and often forgets the seriousness of a situation.

Hiyoko's cute appearance, voice, and (initially) her way of talking give off the impression she is innocent and childlike but she is also 18 like the rest of them. And However, in her introduction alone, it is revealed that she is very direct and cruel with a side of malice. She is the Ultimate Traditional Dancer.

Peko Pekoyama, The Ultimate Swordsman, being raised as a “tool” for the Kuzuryu clan, she believes herself to be less than human and that her sole purpose is to carry out Fuyuhiko’s wishes.

Hajime seems cynical at first glance, but it would be more accurate to describe him as a realist. He is quite skeptical and tends to worry more than the other students, but his worries are usually understandable.

Hajime Hinata is The Ultimate ???

Nagito first comes off as a polite, friendly and easygoing man, yet somewhat insecure. Hajime Hinata even mentions that his bright smile is very comforting. He was the only one that stayed with Hajime while he was unconscious, and expressed concern for his well-being, even after Hajime told him to go away.

In other words, Nagito was polite at first, But, Is physically mentally insane.

Nagito Komaeda Is The Ultimate Lucky Student, And he loves to call himself The Ultimate Hope.

Gundham has an eccentric and somewhat dark personality, his delusions of self-grandeur likely stemming from an inferiority complex and chuunibyou syndrome. He claims that he was gifted with evil powers of the underworld, the result of "an angel and a devil" joining together.

He has hamsters named the Four Dark Devas of Destruction: San-D (orange and white), Jum-P (grey and white), Maga-Z (tan fur with peach underbelly, chipped ear), and Cham-P (fat, orange).

Teruteru is very lewd and usually can be seen hitting on anyone near him, male and female alike, often to the point of sexual harassment. Similar to Hifumi Yamada, he can react to the slightest innuendo that surfaces in a conversation.

Teruteru Hanamura Is The Ultimate Cook, But he likes to be called The Ultimate Chef.

Chiaki is a calm and quiet individual. She seems, at first, to be a little asocial, but eventually opens up, and becomes a lot more talkative when discussing games. She is quite analytical and enjoys learning new things, leading her to ask questions often.

Chiaki Nanami Is The Ultimate Pro Gamer.

Akane has a fiery personality, and always jumps on the chance for a fight and gets along very well with Nekomaru Nidai. However, she is very lazy and unmotivated and is a big eater. Despite her lazy and easygoing personality, she is a loyal person towards her friends.

Akane Owari Is The Ultimate Gymnast.

Mikan is an extremely meek, paranoid and fragile individual who suffers from hazardously low self-esteem as a result of severe abuse and bullying.

At first, Ibuki is quite shocking in a bold and unique personality and appearance. She is one of the most upbeat people out of her classmates. She is very energetic and loves to talk, though she almost always ends up going off on bizarre, unrelated tangents.

Hiyoko’s personality is unique; there aren't that many characters that are so openly hostile and brattish.

Hiyoko Saionji Is The Ultimate Traditional Dancer.

Fuyuhiko takes duty very seriously, and if there's someone who he can trust, he will open his heart and cooperate with them. Despite being a yakuza, deep down he has a somewhat pure heart and he's very strict to the rules. He is the type who takes honor and moral codes seriously.

Fuyuhiko hates being called “Baby Gangster”, He said he’d cut somebody’s fingers off if they call him that.

Peko has a serious demeanor, expressing very little emotion. Due to this aura, she often comes off as intimidating. She is neither impolite nor an antisocial person though she dislikes being in a crowd.

Mahiru is an optimistic and sensible girl who is generally rather calm and unafraid to speak her mind. She initially comes off as confident, but is later revealed to have self-esteem issues.

Nekomaru is a vigorous, boisterous and openhearted boy who is passionate about supporting athletes but suffers from dyspepsia. He frequently shouts when speaking. As a team manager, he is close to his athletes and strives to improve them however he can.

Kokichi: He has dark purple, wavy hair, with brighter purple tips. His hair sticks outwards from his face at the sides, though it lies flat in the back. Kokichi wears a white, straitjacket-like suit with several straps with red buttons around his arms. He is known to be loud and extremely narcissistic, always lying to spice up things because he wants too. He’s the ultimate supreme leader!

Shuichi: quiet, serious, and polite boy. He has very pale skin and a slim figure. His eyes are gambogeish grey, with thick eyelashes. Shuichi's outfit is double-breasted and pinstripe, thin, grey stripes over a black uniform

Kaede: optimistic hard worker Kaede has shoulder-length blonde hair and a prominent ahoge. She wears silver music note hairpins and has warm purple eyes. She wears a high school uniform, which consists of a long-sleeved white shirt completed with a pink ribbed-hem sweater vest adorned with her previous schools' insignia and an orange tie.

Maki: a hostile misanthrope of few words. red eyes and very long, black hair that she ties into twintails held by two big, red scrunchies. It’s obvious she’s more quiet and keeps to herself. Despite being serious aswell.

Himiko: a short girl with pale skin and a rather childlike appearance. Her hair, which is mahogany in colour just like her skirt, is rather short, only reaching her shoulders at its longest point. Her eyes are a dull reddish colour and her lip is slightly curled. Himiko is a tired, lazy and childish magician who for some reason believes in magic despite it not being real.

Rantaro: good-looking, and it is noted in the game that his looks resemble those of a stereotypical "playboy." He has curly hair the color of green tea, which he keeps relatively short, a small patch at the base of his head completely shaved, with two short ahoges sprouting from the top of his head. He’s not a suspicious guy". He gives off a really calm and composed vibe and seems like a reliable person.

Ryoma: hard-boiled dandy character. Though he looks like a child, it's been said that his life experience would put an adult to shame. He has a coolness that common high school students don't have, heightened by his very deep, mature voice. He is the calmest, composed, and an unperturbed.

Kirumi: Kirumi is a tall, thin young woman with pale, ashy, sage-colored hair and long bangs that obscure her left eye (but her left eye is occasionally visible through it when she's expressing certain emotions). Her skin is fairly pale, and her eyes are of a pale, warm green color. despite her being a woman of the gothic style, she is very calm and trustworthy. She gives off a comforting aura and is often seen as a motherly figure.

Tenko: a young woman of average height and a relatively fair complexion, with somewhat broad shoulders and an athletic, muscular build, likely due to her relentless Neo-Aikido training. She's a misandrist who holds a strong prejudice against men and regularly refers to them as "degenerate males.” Constantly being hyperactive and aware, always protecting Himiko as if there was no tomorrow.

Angie: positive, but strange person who does things her own way. She is notably energetic and cheerful, almost always having an excited and wide smile, even when everyone else is serious. Also always talking about her god above Atua, almost as an attempt to force her religion on everyone. Angie has dark skin and round, blue eyes the color of the ocean. Her hair is a pale platinum blonde that looks nearly white and is loosely tied into two wavy ponytails by small, thin hair bands.

Korekiyo: Kiyo's outlandish personality, somewhat creepy appearance, and morbid way of thinking makes people around him uncomfortable. Despite this, he is very intelligent and has a deep passion for anthropology, considering humanity to be "beautiful". Korekiyo wears a lot of silver jewlery a top of his green uniform. Also having long ocean green hair despite being a male, Korekiyo wears a black mask with a minature zipper in the middle and white bandage wrap on his hands.

Miu: Miu is a tall young woman with an hourglass figure and a fair complexion. She has waist-length strawberry blonde hair that flows in waves around her back, with two short locks of hair sticking up at the top of her head, sweeping to her right. Her bangs are long and wispy, swept somewhat to her left. Miu is described as an oddball, having an overly confident, loud personality and a frighteningly sharp tongue. She considers herself a beautiful genius, and every time she opens her mouth she spews a parade of reckless vulgar remarks and insults, strongly putting pressure on others and looking down on them.

Gonta: Gonta is a very tall and muscular boy with tanned skin. He had a noticeably angular face and very long, messy brown hair, with noticeable prominent curls at the top of his head that resemble ahoges. He has red eyes and wears round glasses. This is where the "gentleman" part of his personality comes from. As stated before, Gonta is innocent. The only times he ever gets angry is when he believes someone doesn't like bugs, and even in that scenario he means no harm to anyone (see: insect meet & greet). Gonta is also very apologetic. Gonta also only speaks in third person, never using pronouns for anything. Only names. He speaks in broken English, so sometimes it’s hard to make sense of what he’s saying. But that’s okay!

Kaito: Kaito is an energetic boy with a passionate heart, who lives for dreams and romance, and tends to give somewhat dramatic encouraging speeches for others. He believes you need to take risks for the sake of your dreams and shouldn't limit yourself nor ever give up. Kaito is tall, young boy with gel-spiked purple hair that's grown out both at the top and bottom of his head, that Kodaka describes as a space jet coming out of a black hole and a short goatee.

Tsumugi: Personality. At first, Tsumugi is portrayed as a gentle and kind girl who is polite and friendly. This is all made up to be a façade, as she is almost similar to Junko Enoshima. She is entirely unassuming and plain, to the point where she refers to herself as extremely plain. Tsumugi Shirogane is a slim and tall young woman with teal blue hair and eyes, also wearing circular glasses.

Keebo: a student in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. His title is the Ultimate Robot. Despite being a robot he has a fascination to human culture and wishes to one day be seen as fitting into it. Often marking most comments made to him as ‘robophobic’
