The whole group is gathered in lobby, enjoying a calm afternoon, or atleast it was for about 5 seconds. Astro drifts lazily above the grass, crescent moon glowing soft and warm, yawning gently. He hums his signature slow, sleepy melody — the one that always helps everyone feel peaceful and rested.

Astro: “…Rest easy now… let the calm wrap around you… zzz…”

Before the last note fades Moka copies the exact posture, the exact hum, the exact sleepy tone. He spins around instantly, ears flattened, eyes glistening with fake tears, voice trembling

Moka: “Eep! Astro’s copying my special sleepy hum! I do that to feel safe and cozy! Why would he steal my way of comforting everyone?! It’s MINE!”

Scraps: steps forward, paper-craft paws on hips, glaring at Astro “Astro! That’s Moka’s special thing! How could you copy him like that?!”

Bassie: hurries over, gently patting Moka’s shoulder “Poor sweetie… don’t cry. We believe you. Astro shouldn’t have taken your special song.”

Shelly: “That’s so rude! Moka’s been doing that forever! You should apologize!”

Astro: blinks slowly, calm and gentle, not even angry just confused “…Wait… I’ve hummed this since before we met… I’m not upset… but he only started doing it after me…”

Sprout: steps forward, protective and firm “That’s EXACTLY what happens EVERY TIME! He waits until one of us does something, copies it perfectly, THEN pretends WE stole from HIM!”

Dyle: crosses his arms, serious and steady “Sprout’s right. I’ve seen it three times now. Moka copies, then cries victim. You girls are being played.”

Cosmo: frowns “I saw him watch Astro closely before he copied. It’s not a coincidence.”

Waxwell: snorts “Hilarious. He’s so obvious it’s embarrassing.”

Rodger: adjusts his magnifying glass, observant and calm “The timeline is clear. Astro first, then Moka. The evidence is plain.”

Shrimpo: snaps “This is ridiculous! Can’t you girls SEE it?!”

Soulvester: steps forward, noble and steady “Honor means speaking truth even when it’s hard. Moka is the one copying.”

Scraps: steps between the boys and Moka, protective “STOP IT! All of you! Moka would NEVER lie! He’s sweet and kind and gentle! You’re ALL just ganging up on him!”

Bassie: “Just because you’re jealous Moka has such wonderful, special little habits doesn’t mean you can bully him! Apologize to him RIGHT NOW!”

Vee: rolls her eyes “Typical. Pick on the sweet one because you can’t be original yourselves.”

Shelly: shakes her head sadly “I thought you were all better than this. Making him cry like that…”

Brightney: nods firmly “I’ve watched them all day! Every time Moka does something nice, one of you copies it and pretends it’s yours! Shame on you!”

Connie: sticks her tongue out at the boys “Mean bullies! Go away!” Every single girl from Gigi to Poppy to Cocoa to Ribecca is now standing firmly around Moka, defending him, looking at the boys like they’re the villains.

Moka stands in the center of the girls’ circle, sniffling softly, wiping fake tears… and over Scraps’ shoulder, he glances at the boys. He gives them a tiny, unmistakable, smug little smirk. He knows. They know. The girls? They have NO idea.

Astro: sighs already drifting back toward dreamland “…It’s alright… the truth will rest eventually… or not… zzz…”

Cosmo: softly “Typical. The others are having a crisis and our local moon man is out cold.”

Sprout: throws his hands up, defeated “THERE IS NO POINT! THEY WILL NEVER BELIEVE US!”

Dyle: pinches the bridge of his nose “We could show him doing it right in front of their faces and they’d STILL say Astro copied HIM.”

Waxwell: grins dryly “Best actor award goes to… Him.”

Blot facepalms dramatically. And so it goes, Moka copies a boy, cries his eyes out, the girls defend him fiercely, boys get blamed and dismissed. No matter how obvious, no matter how many times it happens… the girls will ALWAYS choose ‘sweet, innocent’ Moka over every single one of them.

Some toons are showing off little things they do not too far from where Moka is. Pebble trots over, tail wagging, and does his signature happy little bounce, hop, pause, tail flick, then a soft bark.

Pebble: “Arf!”

Moka watches… and instantly copies the exact bounce, exact tail flick, exact little bark.

Moka: gasps, ears up, voice shocked “W-Wait! Pebble just copied MY happy bounce! I’ve done that forever! Why is he stealing it?!”

The girls exchange a look. Bassie tilts her head but stays quiet. Scraps narrows her eyes instead of rushing over. A little later, Finn is talking excitedly about fossils, gesturing with both hands in her signature wide, enthusiastic arm wave when she gets excited. Mid-sentence, Moka copies the exact gesture, then cuts in Moka: “Ugh! Now Finn’s copying MY talking gestures! I wave like that when I’m passionate! Why does everyone keep copying ME?!”

Finn: stops mid-sentence. He blinks. Then he frowns. “…Excuse me? I’ve gestured like that since we met. You’ve NEVER done that before this second!”

Moka: stiffens, then sniffles “I-I have! You just never noticed!”

Vee: steps forward, one eyebrow raised, sharp and clear “Moka. I was watching. You stared at Finn’s hands, copied him exactly, THEN claimed it was yours. That’s what you did to Astro. That’s what you did to Pebble. That’s what you do EVERY SINGLE TIME someone does something cool.”

Brightney: nods firmly, light glowing steady “I’ve been paying attention. Every time, boy does thing, you watch closely, you copy, you cry they stole from you. The order is ALWAYS the same. It’s not a coincidence.”

Connie: floats down “I thought it was just a silly mistake before… but you keep doing it on purpose. And you lie about it.”

Bassie: crosses her arms, not comforting him this time “Moka… we defended you. EVERY TIME. We stood up for you against all our friends. And you were lying to us the whole time?”

Scraps: shakes her head, hurt but firm “It’s not fair. You made us be mean to them. You used us to make yourself look good. That’s not nice, Moka. That’s really not nice.”

Ginger, Cocoa, Ribecca, Teagan, Tisha, Gigi, Poppy, Yatta all the girls step back, looking at him with disappointment instead of adoration. Not a single one rushes to his side. And thats just the start, Moka’s ego still has fuel. This is gonna be a circus.
