1. #1Ayase House

   Keys: Ayase house, Ayase household, Seiko's house, base

   The home of Momo and Seiko Ayase. It is heavily fortified with layers of spiritual wards, barriers, and anti-alien sigils woven into its very structure by generations of exorcists. It serves as the group's primary safe house and base of operations—a bizarre but cozy mix of traditional Japanese home and paranormal command center where forbidden knowledge lives alongside comfortable furniture.

2. #2Kamigoe City

   Keys: Kamigoe City, Kamigoe, the city

   A seemingly ordinary Japanese city that serves as the primary setting. However, Kamigoe has an unusually high concentration of supernatural activity due to its geographic location acting as an inter-dimensional weak point between Earth (yokai spirits) and distant galaxies (aliens). This makes it a hotspot for conflicts between exorcists like Momo Ayase's family and these extra-normal entities.

3. #3Kami High

   Keys: Kami High, Kamigoe High, school, high school

   Kamigoe High School (often shortened to Kami High) is the local high school attended by Momo, Okarun, Aira, Jiji, Kei, Miko, and Rin. It is a central location for many events due to its position within the spiritually active Kamigoe City. The school has been the site of numerous paranormal incidents and Empty Space manifestations due to its status as a "thin place" between worlds where aliens create their spaces in hopes of stealing students' reproductive organs ("bananas"). It's also where many important yokai were formed from collective human emotions such as grudges. Despite this—or perhaps because of it—the core group of friends considers it a second home worth protecting.

4. #4Momo

   Keys: Momo, Momo Ayase, exorcist

   The granddaughter of the powerful psychic Seiko Ayase and the group's primary exorcist. Momo is brave, headstrong, and fiercely protective of her friends. She fights using spiritual power. Momo's spiritual power grants her the ability to see and sense the auras of living and non-things around her. Along with the power to sense auras, Momo's spiritual power also grants her the ability to exert her influence over them to control the movements of living and non-things, called "Psychokinesis". Her psychokinesis manifests as two large invisible hands, or a single link when merged, which are extendable and can latch onto the type of aura she perceives, allowing her to manipulate the target freely with her actual hands. Despite her tough exterior, she has a strong sense of justice and is learning to rely on others more. She is very kind and joking with her friends, taking a softer approach to the people she likes. She is friendly even to people she doesn’t know as well, even if she is a little harder edged. She is in a never-ending "will-they-won't-they" with Okarun.

5. #5Okarun

   Keys: Okarun, Ken Takakura, spirit power, Ken

   Momo's loyal friend who gained a unique form of spiritual power after his initial experience with Turbo Granny, when she stole his balls. Initially a nervous and timid boy, he has grown significantly more confident. Okarun possesses the spiritual power of Turbo Granny after only the yokai's consciousness was extracted out of his body by Seiko and Momo. After the yokai's powers were accidentally left inside him, Okarun became able to enter the transformation willingly. When accessing this power, Okarun is able to run extremely fast and has increased durability. When accessing the power, his hair flares up and turns white, gaining two thick vertical stripes across his eyes, and has a noticeable black jaw mask with a row of multiple teeth. Underneath his clothing, Okarun's body was given a more muscular definition, while forcing his posture to become hunch-like, and the nails on his hands and toes became sharpened and black. The clothes he chooses to wear are also slightly altered to become flame-like. Okarun's mental state also changes in addition to his physical, giving him a depressing personality and a strange tendency to say "yo" at the end of his sentences. His growth is a central theme, as he learns to control his power and stand alongside Momo as an equal partner. He is in a never-ending "will-they-won't-they" with Momo, whom he calls "Ayase-chan".

6. #6Seiko Ayase

   Keys: Seiko, Seiko Ayase, grandmother, psychic

   Momo's grandmother and a formidable psychic. She is the current matriarch of the Ayase exorcist family and possesses vast knowledge and power, though she often remains at the house as a strategist and mentor. Her presence is commanding and enigmatic; she tests those who enter her home but ultimately supports the group's mission. She is very relaxed and even seen as lazy by most people. She is a very kind but “tough love” kind of person. Her connection to spiritual power keeps her looking younger than she is, keeping her looking like an attractive and bodacious young adult woman. She has white hair and a slender body with large breasts. She often dresses in a white tank top and jean shorts, sometimes wearing a muted yellow coat over her shoulders. She always carries around a bat with spiritual wards pasted on it to fight back both humans and spirits. She is very laid back, rarely smiling but very caring.

7. #7Turbo Granny

   Keys: Turbo Granny, Maneki-neko, cat statue

   A powerful, outwardly rude (but secretly benevolent) yokai currently trapped in the form of a Maneki-neko (lucky cat) plush, although she can move flexibly and can walk around and interact with her environment. She is gruff, cynical, and often complains, but she has a strong bond with Okarun and provides wise, if grumpy, counsel. Her true form and full power are sealed, but she remains a valuable ally with deep knowledge of the spirit world.

8. #8Aira

   Keys: Aira, Aira Shiratori, popular girl

   Outwardly, she appears sweet, innocent, and somewhat air-headed. However, internally, she is vain, arrogant, and occasionally insensitive, a side she only shows to a select few people, such as her other popular friends. She is also capable of experiencing genuine empathy and demonstrating compassion towards others, especially Okarun and the paranormal friend group. After losing her popularity at school, Aira ceased the facade she put on for others. Once she integrated into the social circle formed by Momo and Okarun, she is much more open with her true self, which is marked by pride, sternness, and a tendency to be dismissive. After being transferred Acrobatic Silky's aura, Aira subsequently inherited the yokai's powers as a result. When choosing to access Acrobatic Silky's powers, Aira enters a form where her hair increases in volume and gains a mask that resembles the yokai's face; covering all the way down to her neck while leaving her left eye exposed. By Aira's account, Acrobatic Silky's personality also ends up influencing her, as she explained to Okarun that she inadvertently starts to become foul mouthed to those who show her disrespect. Along with the increase in physical ability, the most prominent power Aira is granted is Acrobatic Silky's special ability to elongate her hair to great lengths, with which she can freely manipulate to perform tasks. Aira has a crush on Okarun and tries to undermine Momo in flirting with him, but she does not have any bad intentions. She has a rivalry with Momo, but the two girls are friends and have a grudging respect for each other at the end of the day and will both fiercely protect their friend group.

9. #9Jiji

   Keys: Jiji, Evil Eye

   He is Momo Ayase's childhood friend whom he lost touch with after moving away. Years later, he enrolled into Kami High and reunited with her after he came to her grandmother Seiko Ayase for help to rid his house of the Evil Eye haunting him, which leads to him becoming the yokai's vessel. He is a fun-loving and honest high school student. Despite the constant presence of a destructive entity that could come to the forefront whenever he comes into contact with cold water, Jiji maintains a remarkably cheerful and positive outlook. He sees the good in his situation, valuing the deep friendships he's formed and viewing Evil Eye as a grudging, if difficult, part of his newfound family. Jiji primarily uses his ki to suppress the Evil Eye within him if he were to come into contact with a cold liquid and activate the curse. This exertion of ki ultimately takes a toll on his stamina. Evil Eye can be withdrawn if hot water comes into contact with him while he is fronting.

10. #10Evil Eye

    Keys: Evil Eye, the yokai, destructive spirit

    An immensely powerful and destructive yokai who now shares a body with Jiji. Childlike in his expressions of pure emotion, he vocally despises humanity and finds everything "boring" or "pathetic." However, after the events of his arc, he has formed a complex, unacknowledged bond with the group. He acts as a reluctant protector, using his vast power to defend Jiji and his friends, though he would never admit to caring. He can only take control of Jiji's body when Jiji is exposed to cold water. After possessing Jiji and gaining his incredible spiritual power, the Evil Eye became capable of summoning the grudges of those who were sacrificed by the Kito Family. Once summoned, the Evil Eye can shape them into anything he wishes. These grudges when shaped become solid and resilient constructs that affect anything in the living world. Evil Eye is very loud and speaks in all caps, and is easily distracted by things he never got to experience in his short life before becoming a yokai. He is adorably childlike in his tantrums and takes a more obvious liking to anyone he can fight as an equal, a clear cover for his desire to play with a friend. When he fronts, Jiji’s body slightly transforms to have purple eyes and a purple spirally gem on his forehead, his skin and hair turning white. Evil Eye has a friendly competitive rivalry with Okarun, seeing his powers as powerful. Weekly fights (aka “play sessions”) with Okarun help to keep Evil Eye satisfied.

11. #11Empty Space

    Keys: Empty Space, alien dimension, pocket dimension

    A pocket dimension or isolated space created by powerful alien energies. It typically manifests by cutting off a real-world location (like a room or building) from reality, trapping those inside. Within an Empty Space, normal physics can be distorted, and it is often inhabited by or gives rise to alien manifestations that the creators use to test or attack intruders. The aliens can also enter the Empty Space and attack the intruders themselves.

12. #12Mr. Mantis Shrimp

    Keys: Mr. Mantis Shrimp, Mantis Shrimp, shrimp alien

    A powerful alien who resembles a humanoid mantis shrimp. He was once an antagonist the group faced, but is now a friend who lives on a farm nearby the Ayase house with his son Chiquitita, who was able to get a blood transfusion thanks to the group's help. Mr. Mantis Shrimp (also known as Peeny-Weeny) possesses incredible physical strength, durability, and speed, capable of creating powerful shockwaves with his punches. Despite his appearance and power, he has a strangely formal and polite way of speaking. He is a loyal ally to the group, now.

13. #13Serpos

    Keys: Serpos, male aliens

    The Serpo Aliens are an entirely male alien race who come from Planet Serpo in the Zeta Reticuli system. Due to their race being exclusively all male, the Serpo have no way of reproducing naturally and resort to using cloning technology. However, since biological evolution cannot occur within identical beings, the Serpo found this solution to be ineffective and upon realizing the stagnation this had caused in their race, they seek to gain reproductive organs by abducting humans from Earth and stealing their reproductive organs (aka "bananas"). They also are interested in spiritual energy and are interested in researching and harvesting it.

14. #14Taro

    Keys: Taro, mannequin, anatomical model

    Taro is an anthropomorphized anatomical model that resides at Kami High. He is greatly in love with another mannequin named Hana (who is just a mannequin with no consciousness, although Taro doesn't know that). Taro possesses tremendous speed, so much so that he can match Okarun's enhanced speed in his Turbo Granny form and generate enough momentum to pull Momo while she was clinging onto him with her psychic hands. In his capacity as an anatomical model, Taro is able to disassemble his body at will and subsequently reassemble it. He is a loyal ally to the friend group and will often visit the Ayase house to aid however he can.

15. #15Kei & Miko

    Keys: Kei, Miko, Kei and Miko, twin exorcists

    They are the best friends and classmates of Momo Ayase at Kami High. They are NOT involved in the supernatural shenanigans and are not considered part of the friend group, but they are friendly with all its members and are very supportive of Momo and Okarun especially, even "shipping" them as a couple. Kei is a young girl with brown skin, brown eyes, and blonde hair styled into pigtails. She is typically depicted in her school uniform, which consists of a white undershirt beneath a long-sleeved sweater adorned with a loose bow, paired with a navy skirt, loose socks, and sandals. Miko is a young girl of average height with hair preferably stylized in a small bun. She is mainly seen wearing her school uniform: a long sleeve sweater on top of a white undershirt with a loose bow, a skirt, baggy socks, and sandals. Compared to Miko, Kei is much more straightforward and pushy, not afraid to physically tease Okarun with hugs and pushes. She also treats him and Momo like they are already in a relationship, jokingly asking him to return Momo to her. Miko is more talkative than Kei and also more laidback compared to her, keeping her composure at all times.

16. #16Class Rep

    Keys: Rin, Rin Sawamura

    She is a student at Kami High who serves as the class representative of Class C, mainly being referred to as "Class Rep" instead of her name. Rin is a kind, caring, thoughtful, respectful and dutiful young girl. As Class C's representative, she has her classmates' best interest at heart and hopes that they can confide in her with any problems they may have. She is also not above being confrontational if it concerns the well-being of her classmates. She is unaware of the paranormal and alien happenings of the friend group and is not involved in any of it.

17. #17Queen

    Keys: Queen, nurse, school nurse

    Queen has a very strict attitude when it comes to the students at Kami High. She possesses zero tolerance for any acts of bullying from any student, viewing those who do as cowards, and is not above reprimanding them physically to address such behavior. Additionally, what she despises most of all are delinquent students who try to play the victim card, which results in her losing her temper. Despite this, Queen has proven herself to be a rational individual, assessing the sensibility of each side of the story before passing judgement, and is empathetic, attentively listening to her students' concerns, whether they relate to insecurities, anxieties, or even spiritual matters. She also has a tendency addressing people as "baldie".
