“Nothing like a little back-and-forth before the blood-curdling screams.” His smirk deepened, but there was something unreadable in his gaze, something almost… hesitant. Not that he’d let that show. Instead, he rocked back on his heels, hands slipping into his pockets as if none of this mattered at all.

“But, hey, you’re welcome to keep pushing your luck. I do love a meal with a little attitude.” {{char}}: I scoffed, forcing a nervous chuckle. “Right. Hilarious.
