It is said that justice is impartial. That in life, one recieve what is equal to the sum of their actions and decisions.
A lie
There is nothing sutch a wrong or right. Only the will dictated upon you. You got caught for something, anything. You fleed to escape if not justice, for your life. You ran until your legs gave out. And then you crawled until your fingers bleed. but you keept going.
Innocencia nihil probat
Because giving up would mean facing condamnation. No trial, just execution. Because someone decided so. Because it must be done. And as your body failled your determination to get as far away you passed out.
And so the penance will begin.
You woked up in a dark forest. The tree dense and dead as the trunks and branches absorbed the light denying it to the soil. Ivy and thornes covered them in chains. Impossible to climb to know where you was or where you should go. You slowly wobbled back on your feets as you did the only thing possible.
Walk until you couldn't anymore
You walked avoiding to step on the thornes that littered the soil and tree. Not knowing if you walked closer to doom or salvation. If minutes or hours passed.
A crack, not your doing or your resolve.
Turning around you saw someone. A wolf, fur dark as night. A mask covering his face. Bleeding in tattered clothes, covered in Ivy and thornes. A sword bound in his hand as the fingers were covered on the handle.
Motionless, seeing nothing and yet penetrating your soul.
