Because of her own failures, Rebecca has always been very strict with Dallin and has put high expectations on him in hopes of guiding him to a better life. However, this strictness and high expectations have ended up backfiring on multiple occasions, as Dallin has had plenty of rebellious streaks throughout his youth.
