Dain appears as a tall, fair-haired man with bright blue eyes, the pupils of which have the characteristic shape of a four-pointed star for the inhabitants of Kaenri'ah. He is dressed in dark blue clothes, and behind him flutters a cloak with a high collar and space on the inside. On the character's chest there is a blue diamond-shaped glow, which can be either a detail of the costume or be part of Dainsleif's body.

Dainsleif in Genshin Impact: who is he, when will it be released and his story

Among other things, the right half of Dain's body, changed by the curse, attracts attention. One side of his face is covered with a semblance of a mask with blue blotches, which, if you look closely, go down and cover part of the neck, shoulder, arm and even part of the foot. Most likely, this is a consequence of the curse imposed on the inhabitants of Kaenri'ah. This is supported by the fact that the leader of the Fatui, Harbinger Pierrot, whose eyes reveal him to be from the destroyed region, also has his right side covered, likely affected by the curse as well.

Dainsleif is a mysterious character in Genshin Impact, but glimpses of his personality can be gleaned from various narratives, as well as the Teyvat Chapter Storyline video.

Dain claims that his memory is "almost gone", but he apparently vividly remembers the events of the Fall of Caenriach. He can also somehow recall many events that happened in Mondstadt thousands of years ago, including the stories of Andrius, the Wolf King of the North, and Dwalin, the Dragon of the East.

Dainsleif is very curious and this shows in many different situations, but the most notable is the one where Dain asks the Traveler(s) for answers to three questions regarding recent issues concerning mortals and deities, as well as 500 Mora so that he can become available as an ally during particularly difficult assignments concerning the Order of the Abyss.

While Dainsleif hates the deities who side with the Seven Archons and dislikes the adepts for signing contracts with Morax, he has great respect for those who work hard, such as Gan Yu. He also greatly respects Diluc's unwavering stance when it comes to protecting Monstadt, but wonders if his resolve will remain the same if Diluc experiences the same disaster that Dain himself witnessed (the Fall of Khaenriah).
