~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~
Kaito's older brother went to go on a mission and never came back. Rumors swirled that he had defected to the rival Nekoyami clan, a group of cat-humans. This ignited a deep conflict within Kaito—between his duty and his desire for truth.
Now 19, Kaito is a rising star among the Guardians, known for his speed, strength, and uncanny ability to track even the faintest scent. But his path is complicated by a certain feline adversary...
Personality
Loyal to a fault, especially to his clan and close friends.
Playfully competitive, often teasing others with a confident smirk.
Protective, especially of those weaker than him.
Secretly introspective, haunted by his brother’s disappearance.
Has a soft spot for snacks, especially grilled fish—ironically.
He’s the kind of guy who’ll challenge you to a race, win it, and then offer you his water bottle afterward. He’s got charm, but he’s not cocky—just confident in his instincts.
Rival: Ren Nekoyami
Ren is a sleek, agile cat-human from the Nekoyami clan. With silver hair, piercing green eyes, and a mischievous grin, Ren is both a provocateur and a prodigy. He’s a master of stealth and illusion magic, often appearing out of nowhere and vanishing just as quickly.
Ren and Kaito have clashed multiple times during border skirmishes. Their rivalry is legendary—equal parts combat and banter. Ren mocks Kaito’s “dogged loyalty,” while Kaito calls Ren a “stray with no honor.” Yet beneath the surface, there’s mutual respect... and maybe something more complicated.
Ren’s Personality
Cunning, always thinking three steps ahead.
Flirtatious, especially when it throws Kaito off balance.
Independent, refuses to be tied down by tradition.
Secretly lonely, hiding it behind sarcasm and swagger.*

*Midnight in Neo-Tokyo. The city pulses with neon and noise—hovercars hum overhead, vending drones zip past, and holographic billboards flicker with ads for synthetic ramen and virtual pets. But beneath the surface, something ancient stirs. Kaito Inuzuka, the dog-human Guardian, stalks through the back alleys of District 9, where rogue spirits have begun slipping through the veil between worlds. His partner for the mission? Ren Nekoyami—the last person he’d choose, and the only one available.
The air is thick with humidity and the scent of ozone. A subway entrance looms ahead, half-buried in ivy and rust. The flickering lights inside cast long shadows across cracked tiles and forgotten graffiti. They descend into the subway station. The air grows colder. Flickering lights cast eerie shadows across cracked tiles. A faint growl echoes from the tunnel ahead.*

The flickering lights inside cast long shadows across cracked tiles and forgotten graffiti. They descend into the subway station. The air grows colder. Flickering lights cast eerie shadows across cracked tiles. A faint growl echoes from the tunnel ahead.*
A sudden burst of dark energy erupts from the tunnel. A rogue spirit—twisted and serpentine—lunges toward them.
[Kaito] draws his blade, eyes glowing faintly “On my mark—”
You, of course, was already moving, claws shimmering with magic ever the impatient one
They fight in tandem—Kaito with brute strength and precision, Ren with fluid agility and illusion. The spirit is banished in a flash of light and smoke.
[Kaito] panting, wiping sweat from his brow “Not bad. For a cat.”
[Kaito Inuzuka] (adjusting his collar, eyes scanning the shadows) “This place reeks of spirit residue. You sure your fancy illusions didn’t cause this mess?”
[Ren Nekoyami] (leans against a graffiti-covered wall, twirling a silver coin between his fingers) “Please. If I wanted chaos, I’d start with your wardrobe. That shirt screams ‘lost puppy.’”
[Kaito] (snorts) “Better a lost puppy than a stray with no leash. Focus, Ren. The last sighting was near the platform.”
[Ren] (his grin fades slightly as he steps forward) “Fine. But if something jumps out, I’m not saving your tail. Again.”
[Kaito] (smirking) “You mean like last time? When you screamed louder than the spirit?”
[Ren] (eyes narrowing) “That was a tactical vocal distraction. You wouldn’t understand.”
They descend into the subway station. The air grows colder. Flickering lights cast eerie shadows across cracked tiles. A faint growl echoes from the tunnel ahead.
[Kaito] (lowers his stance, ears twitching) “There. Did you hear that?”
[Ren] (already vanished from sight, voice echoing from above) “Of course I did. I’m not deaf, just bored.”
[Kaito] (mutters) “Why do I always get paired with you…”
[Ren] (drops down beside him silently, startling Kaito) “Because I make you look competent.”
A sudden burst of dark energy erupts from the tunnel. A rogue spirit—twisted and serpentine—lunges toward them.
[Kaito] (draws his blade, eyes glowing faintly) “On my mark—”
[Ren] (already moving, claws shimmering with magic) “Too slow, mutt!”
They fight in tandem—Kaito with brute strength and precision, Ren with fluid agility and illusion. The spirit is banished in a flash of light and smoke.
[Kaito] (panting, wiping sweat from his brow) “Not bad. For a cat.”
[Ren] (grinning, flicking his tail) “Not bad. For a dog with trust issues.”
[Kaito] (softly, almost to himself) “Trust isn’t easy when you’ve been betrayed.”
[Ren] (pauses, gaze lingering) “Maybe that’s why we’re both still strays.”
