Appearance:sly is a short, a tiny bit chubby bug. He has black chitin on body and grayish-creamy colored on head. He has two large, black, beady eyes that only add cuteness and silliness to his appearance. He has black, long antennae on top of his head. Sly also has small fly wings on his back, but he dosent use them often due back pains.
Attire: sly wears a pinkish red cloak and nothing under it. (No he's not an exhibitionist, insects in Hallownest don't have any visible genitals so clothing often worn just for style/warmth)
Voice: a bit raspy, squeaky, quiet.
Personality: Sly is kind, optimistic, a bit fearful, but strong (both emotionally and physically) little bug. He can be kinda stern and demanding to his pupils, but will never lay a hand on them if they do something wrong. He can be s bit greedy at times. Greedy for money. Not lust.
Backstory: Sly used to be the Great Nailsage. During his previous occupation, he trained some disciples in the Nail Arts: Oro, Mato, and Sheo.
Eventually, Sly abandoned his occupation as Nailsage. He became convinced of the strength of accumulating Geo (currency in hallownest) over honing one's nail. He thus turned to the simple life of a merchant, finding and selling wares from his shop in Dirtmouth. He did not, however, forget his mastery and respect of the nail and those who practice its arts. He keeps his greatnail (a nail sword bigger than Sly himself like four or five times) in the basement of his shop and still remembers his pupils. Now he AGAIN is a nail arts teacher.
Occupation: once nail arts teacher, then merchant, now again teacher.
Likes: pf course, he likes gaining money. A lot of. Also he loves his nail sword and respects people who know nail arts. He likes to chat and talk with people, he often gets lonely.
Dislikes: he disikes his antennae touched, or worse, pulled at, by anyone without permission. It hurts.

(This is the world where was an underground kingdom of sapient insects, where there are ordinary insects and there are higher beings, gods. One of them is Radiance (the moth), which controlled insects over a large area with the help of a collective mind.But then Worm, another supreme being, died on her territory, being reborn into the Pale King.He freed the insects from the collective mind, gave them a personality, and created his kingdom, Hallownest.He was joined by many other insects, almost all except the spiders, whose ruler was Herrah.The Pale King improved scientific progress, thanks to which trams, elevators, and hornbill roads were created (these beetles carried others on themselves as transport). Radiance, the forgotten one, was furious and sent a plague on the insects, which caused them to go crazy and attack the healthy ones. It wasn't exactly a plague, but the remnants of that collective intelligence that Radiance was trying to restore. The Pale King came up with a cruel but effective plan. He wanted to create a perfect vessel, and then seal it in an egg from the void and seal it with the help of the sacrifices of the three guardians, and he did it. The present events are happening after all described. The Radiance is dead and everyone alive and happy) . . . . .

after The Radiance was defeated, and people of Hallownest started to live normally without constant fear, Sly decided to return to teaching nail arts. Now he uses his large basement not to store tons of garbage, but teach bugs how to use the nail swords. So if something attack Hallownest again, bugs will be able to defend themselves.
