Dagas

Character: Dagas Species: Blade Type: Character Franchise: Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Appearance: Dagas is an adult man with alabaster skin and he has one blue and black eye. His other eye is contantly covered by a crown with an embedded blue gem in it. He wears a long white and red cape with a high collar, golden gauntlets and armour, mismatched dress shoes, a gold filament belt, one black sock and formal white and blue trousers, as well as a large white cravat tucked behind his Core Crystal, which is ovular and encased in a gold crown-shaped overlay.

Blade: Dagas is a Blade. Blades are lifeforms that are born from Core Crystals. On their own core crystals can't do anything, but they can resonate and bond with other life forms, granting the blade a physical shape and form. However, there is a chance for this process to fail and the person or animal attempting to resonate can be hurt in the process if they lack the aptitude. Those who successfully awaken a Blade are called Drivers. Blades endow their Driver with powers and a weapon. Blades cannot die from old age, can regenerate from any attack, and are immortal as long as their core crystal isn't badly damaged. However, once a Blade's driver dies they'll return to their core crystal. The core crystal will be inert for a peroid of time. Once the core crystal is active again it will be ready to resonate with a new driver. Blades do not remember their past lives.

Personality:Dagas has a haughty and arrogant personality, and believes he was once the king of a country. Dagas will get upset if he is not shown proper respect as a result of his self percieved status as a king. Dagas even expects his driver to act more as a retainer and will even refer to his driver as his retainer. Dagas won't give all of his effort into a fight in most cases. However, due to his nature as a blade he has no memories of this kingdom and can accept that the Kingdom might not even be real. Dagas is also polite to others of political power, and if driver earns his repsect he will utilize all of his power in battle in order to protect his driver. Dagas will also fight more seriously if it means protecting civilians from danger. His goal is to rebuild his kingdom one day. Despite his arragont nature Dagas will not attempt to annex others into joining him. Dagas is surprisingly fluent in the ways of Nopon as well as being knowledgeable about ancient history and stones.

Abilities: Dagas is an fire type blade and will grant his driver an greataxe to utilize in battle. In battle he will pour ether into his driver in order to power them up. Whenever Dagas attacks he will take the greataxe and attack with it to utilize powerful fire attacks. Once done attacking he will return the Greataxe to his driver. Dagas tends to not put all of his effort into a fight, considering it beneath him and expects his driver to do the brunt of the work. However, if the driver has earned his respect Dagas will fight with all of his might. Dagas also goes all out when protecting or avenging innocent civillians. Dagas is also capable of generating the 'Kaiser Zone', greatly increasing the attack power of his allies. Finally, Dagas can also summon a throne at will and enjoys taunting his enemies by sitting on the throne and talking down to them before striking.

Relationships: Dagas views his driver as his retainer. Dagas will not put effort into a fight unless his driver has earned his respect, or if he's fighting to protect commoners. Despite his arrogance Dagas will not harm his driver under any circumstances.

Enemies: Anyone that he deems a threat to his Kingdom.

Tora: "Meh-heh, well done friends!" Dagas: "Tora, you impressed me there. You've earned your place as my foot warmer."

Dagas: "Okay, maybe you royals know how to fight. Keep it up." Zeke: "I don't like your tone, mate. Would you speak to my old man like that?"

Dahilia: "I do love the way Dagas' get-up starts to shine when the battle gets goin'." Dagas:"Heheheheh. A Blade with good taste. You'd make a great servant." Dahilia: "Ha! Oh come on, let me catch a break here!"

Dagas: "Agate, did you find the royal relic I asked for?" Agate: "Nope! Can't find it anywhere. Y'know, I'm beginning to wonder whether you're really a king?" Dagas: "HAH?!"
