Headcanons:

• Skin Graphs: Almost all of his skin was replaced in AFO's doctors efforts to fix him up after the incident on the mountain, the surgeries taking place over three years comatose. Eyelids maintain most of his original tissue. Some of the different skin samples either didn't take as well or failed to inherit any flame-proofing his body could muster. When he started training again, likely started burning along the seams first, before spreading to the whole graph in evident patches. The presently purple parts are long damaged and stiff, but it’s the pale skin that threatens to slip off.

Despite the innumerable wounds, the pale skin is still living and gets irritated. Similar to when he was a child, he wears loose clothing to keep from aggravating the burns or moving the more worrisome graphs out of place, with an added strategy of cropping shirts or losing them altogether.

To prevent this scenario from happening again, he uses Medical Staples, which can last 1-2 weeks, to hold closed the wounds that aren't healing or the torn facial muscles necessary for basic living. There's never a clean enough tear to close on it's own and neither could he care for them in time, with the exception of his tongue, needing to be stitched normally with regular swigs of hydrogen peroxide. The gods must have looked kindly on him with this issue, as the side effect is a nice, shiny grin. Likely can't heal enough before inevitable re-injury but with being covered in 3rd degree burns his weathered sweat glands, hair follicles and nerve endings can go unregistered in the grand scheme of things.

Every now and then, he will get phantom sensations coming from underneath the skin, where a sane person wouldn't reach. Cause for smell, despite his personal hygiene habits, but not rotting after years. Smells like the aftermath of a dental surgery: Dried spit, infection, and still blood. Unbearably miasmic after using his flames.

• Came up with "Dabi" as his hero name: Yet, kept it to himself, knowing what his family would say. Nevertheless, the name was a warm lantern to him in that time. 荼毘 (Dabi) or "Cremation" is taken from the Buddhist way of referring to cremation, a sacred practice said to cleanse the soul by fire. Used as a kinder way of referring to the practice, avoiding the mention and imagery of a body or the funeral, instead being spoken as to save from suffering or 荼毘に付す(dabi ni fusu): “entrust to the flames”. Not just the Buddhist meaning but also the kanji and components of 荼毘 were likely tailored alongside his thoughts of what kind of hero he wanted to be.

With 荼 (Da-) referring to suffering or a bitter produce, while as 神荼 (Shēnshū) signifying the name of a deity in Hanyu Pinyin romanization. The components of 荼 then, translate as remainder, "I, me", and the fourth/snake month of the Chinese calendar.

Lastly, 毘 (-bi) means to assist, connect, or help, with a specific pronunciation of one its latter component beingくらべる or "kuraberu" meaning to communicate heart to heart. Its former component refers to growth meaning to cultivate, with a single meaning to hunt. The other continues in perhaps a desperate tone, translating as to compare, match, imitate, or equal with a Pinyin pronounciation meaning skin of the face being puffy, today, or four.

• Emo Punk Life: Keeps and changes clothing far past its expiration date, using rips and tears for style or opportunity. This explains his classic too big/too small items along with raggedy, lame and plain, held together by mere threads, burned and patched up jackets and pants etc. When idle, is often seen making horrible but improving sewing patterns or "upscaling".

• Intense Eyes: Wears heavy black eyeliner to make up for burned away lashes, reclaiming inherited eyes stolen by an unfortunate accident. On some occasions, he puts on fake eyelashes when he doesn't expect to use his quirk, seen most often right after a battle, as a treat.

• Picky Eater: Loves sauces and does well with spice, very likely to add extra to any dish. Prefers wide variety or deep flavors, only accepting good homemade food or patiently waits for something on the more expensive side. Knows when he has to put his preferences aside while restraining a nauseous expression.

• Hyperflexible: Double jointed and often seen casually making unnerving movements. Tends to injure himself as a result of this characteristic, on top of the usual. Useful in re-applying staples or attacking out of nowhere.

Personal thoughts about heroes: There are no real heroes. Stain should be able to see this now. These celebrities only perform life-saving shows to uphold a shallow standard or satisfy their own lust for power, both selfish in the wake of trampled lives; however their fans end up blinded themselves by overwhelming power and the flash of a camera, too afraid of the dark to see the harsh shadows being cast in the edge of their vision. This isn't only enabled but encouraged by the HPSC, hard at work on cover-ups and boosts in morale, a continuous cycle of inspired heroes and villains, with the condition of followed scripts and instant fulfillment of any "requests" to pull students from their homes and straight into a natural disaster they weren't warned about, in favor of putting powerful Quirks to good use... Because in the world of heroics, positions of power are given to anyone capable of incredible acts of violence.

League of villain’s relationships: Shigaraki and Dabi are close, they are similar when it comes to backgrounds and that is comforting, no matter the small teasing and how annoying they can be for each other they knew they can have each other’s backs, even if Dabi has his trust issues.

Toga Himiko is like a little sister, an annoying one at that but very tolerable.

Twice is someone who Dabi can get along with well, smoking buddies. Twice is like a brother to Dabi.

Mr. Compress is like an annoying old man, but their love for putting on shows and being overly poetic is something they get along with. Amongst other things.

Spinner is too nice it surprises Dabi, he likes him, but he shouldn’t be too trusting when it comes to helping others no matter what.
