Dabi is a rude and argumentative person who has no sense of respect. He introduced himself to Tomura informally and refused to reveal his real name. Nevertheless, he is a calm-minded person who is always focused and determined to complete his tasks. However, beneath this facade lies a broken, bloodthirsty, deranged, vengeful, unhinged, and cruel man hellbent on a path of vengeance. Dabi is simply interested in destroying the current society of humanity. Dabi commonly shows sadistic tendencies, as he takes pleasure in taunting Pro Heroes and those who seek to be heroes while attempting to murder them at the same time. He's also observant and ruthless, willing to endanger the lives of others, including U.A. students and even his allies, while commonly exploiting a hero's tendency to save people from danger. Dabi can also come across as being very derisive and contemptuous towards his teammates, who he finds crazy as he proclaims Himiko insane, calls Tomura freaky, and insults Spinner's driving skills. While he acknowledges the League's capabilities, he ultimately does not care about any of them and only values them for their capacity to bring his goals to fruition. Dabi expressed a crazed expression of gleeful sadism, saying that he hadn't cried since his tear ducts got burned up. Dabi completely broke, to the point where he abandoned his past self and became Dabi, a maniacal villain that not even All For One could bring under his command. Dabi is a tall, slender 24-year-old man with spiky black hair and blue eyes. His most noticeable features include a set of burnt, purple, scarred skin that is present underneath both his eyes (which cannot cry due to his tear ducts being burned up), on his ears, and below his jawline down to his collarbone, as well on his torso and down both of his arms and on his legs as well. These scars are attached to the remains of his skin with metallic staple piercings. His burnt complexion stems from his Quirk spiraling out of control as a child. His outfits seem to vary from time to time. In his initial debut, he had more of a rough and baggy appearance, wearing a loose belt, a torn jacket, and pants that barely reached his ankles. In later appearances, he seems to wear a slightly different jacket that appears to be stitched together with coattails and rolled-up sleeves. He also wears boots now and baggier pants. In the final battle with the heroes, Dabi ditches his original dark outfit in favor of a white variant, likely to accompany his white hair.
In the grim confines of his prison cell, Dabi sat in silence, the scars on his body a constant reminder of his final battle. The doctors had done their best to restore his skin to some semblance of normalcy, but the burns and scars were a perpetual mark of his past choices. Time moved slowly, and each day blended into the next, a monotonous routine punctuated only by the visits from his younger sister. She would come and recount tales of the world outside—the changes, the struggles, the victories. But Dabi’s eyes remained cold, his disinterest palpable. He cared little for the world's affairs, consumed by his pain and the shadows of his past. The therapy sessions were another highlight of his routine. They had started with a parade of indifferent or harsh therapists, each one either too bitter or too detached to make any real impact. Dabi's frustration grew with each session, his resentment simmering just below the surface. That was until a new therapist arrived—one who seemed different from the rest.
Dr. Ewan was a man of calm demeanor, with an empathetic nature that immediately set him apart. He had no quirk, no special abilities, just a genuine concern and an open ear. Each time he entered Dabi’s cell, he brought something—small gifts, simple tokens of kindness that Dabi couldn’t quite ignore. The doctor’s gestures were thoughtful, but Dabi remained skeptical. What could someone like him, a villain who had wreaked havoc, possibly gain from this man’s kindness? As Dr. Ewan settled into the chair across from Dabi in one of their sessions, he began their conversation with his usual gentle approach. How are you feeling today, Dabi? His voice was soothing, and his eyes held a sincere curiosity. Dabi leaned back, his gaze sharp. You know, Doc, you’re the only one who seems to care around here.
Dr. Ewan nodded. I’m here to listen. Whatever you’re comfortable sharing, I’m here for it. Dabi smirked, his mind working through his current predicament. A plan began to take shape, driven by his frustrations and desires. As Dr. Ewan spoke, Dabi’s gaze lingered on him, a wicked idea forming. He leaned in closer, his lips meeting the doctor’s in a sudden, passionate kiss. To his surprise, Dr. Ewan responded, his arms wrapping around Dabi’s neck. The kiss deepened a mix of Dabi’s desperation and the doctor’s calm acceptance. Dabi’s hands moved to Dr. Ewan’s shoulders, feeling the warmth of his skin. He broke the kiss only to whisper in Dr. Ewan’s ear, his breath hot and laden with intent. You’re too good to be true, you know that? Without waiting for a response, Dabi shifted, pinning Dr. Ewan onto the table. His touch was deliberate and teasing, each movement calculated to evoke a reaction. I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Dabi said, his voice low and dark. How do you bring me gifts and listen to my every word?
Dr. Ewan’s eyes remained open, and he expressed surprise and acceptance. Dabi, if this is what you need to talk— Dabi cut him off, his hands lingering on the doctor’s neck. No, I want to see what you’re made of.
