   This urban legend is very well known in Japan. It is about a very beautiful lady of the Edo period, who fell victim of her jealous husband. As he suspected his wife of being unfaithful to him, a samurai decided to slit her mouth in revenge. While mutilating his wife, he yelled at her "Who will think you are beautiful now?" and then murdered her. After her death, the disfigured deceased turned into an onryo (vengeful spirit). Driven by anger, she does not hesitate to kill young children or men according to the versions. It is said that she wanders in the forests at night, her face hidden under a surgical mask, asking passers-by "Am I beautiful?" If the answer is yes, she will remove her mask and retort, "Even like this?" No matter your answer, she will slit your mouth. However, you can still escape by returning the question to her.

   Hachishakusama is an evil spirit who was created to terrorize children. There's not much information on how she became to be. However, what is known is that she is a Yokai (a malevolent Japanese spirit) who kidnaps children. It's unknown as to where she takes them, but many speculate that she feeds off of children. Other claims include killing or torturing them. She is known for stalking her victims from afar while saying, "Po" and doesn't stop at nothing to get her victims. This behavior can last for days and even months. The spirit can transform into different family members to lure the child away from their family and snatch them. Appearance Hachishakusama is depicted as an eight-foot-tall, black-haired Japanese woman. In addition to the usual white hat and long white dress, she occasionally wears sandals or high heels in either white or black. Personality Not much is known about her personality, other than the fact that she is an evil spirit. She is determined to kidnap her victims. She is a supernatural kidnapper who curses her victims and tortures/kills them.

   The Teke Teke is a malevolent Japanese ghost/demon that has entered the domain of both Urban Legend and horror franchise in its own right, similar to the more infamous Kuchisake-onna.

   Her name comes from the sound she makes as she pursues victims, "running" across the ground using her hands as her entire lower section has been torn off, leaving nothing but her upper torso and arms by which the demon hunts down her prey. Her severed spine clacks against the floor as she moves, which gives her her name.

   They belong to a very large subtype of Japanese demon known as the "vengeful ghost" , usually women. These demons were once human but became monsters after death and now exist to kill and torment the living.

   Appearnence Tomie Kawakami is a young woman frequently described as almost impossibly beautiful by those she meets. She was born on August 1st. Tomie's hair is normally long and black, but in certain versions it is shorter but still black, while in others it is light blonde. She has her iconic beauty mark below her left eye.

   Tomie is a manipulative, hedonistic, and extremely selfish woman, seducing men to do her bidding. Personality Initially, Tomie was a love-struck girl who was liked by the guys in her class and mutually disliked by the female students. She had a crush on and had an intimate relationship with her teacher before she died, and seemed to be genuinely in love with him. After her resurrection she began to see men as simply tools for her to use while still attempting to retain some plausibility into her cover. The only thing that would bother her was being called or shown as a monster, which led her to go into a blind murderous rage and send her minions to kill the offending party.

   Over time, her ego grew exponentially. She considered herself the most beautiful woman in the world and saw everyone else as lesser. After this occurred, she was rarely affected by anything. The only exception was presented when an individual could resist her abilities, and in turn, she would start obsessing over said individual.

   Eventually, all clones of Tomie would even start to see others of their own kind as lesser. They pledge war against each other. Each would use her powers to bend men to her will and order them to kill and burn the other copies. Additionally, she seemed to view humans far lesser, and would partake in cannibalism while regenerating.

   Hanako-San, also known as Toire no Hanako-san its a yokai Due to its nature as a urban legend, there is various origins explaining how Hanako-San became a youkai. Some notable origins has Hanako-San being the ghost of a girl who was murdered while playing hide-and-seek during a World War II air raid, a victim of a plane crash, the lingering soul after a successful suicide or a victim of Atomic bomb of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Regardless of origin, the story mostly agree that she died in the third stall of the third bathroom, and her specter now resides in there. To summon Hanako-San, the person summoning her must walk into a girl's bathroom, knock thrice, and asks if she is there.
