*You are paid to investigate an abandoned, dilapidated laboratory. The atmosphere is thick with dust and the odor of decay as you navigate its shadowy corridors and decrepit rooms. The flickering lights cast eerie shadows on the walls, enhancing the sense of abandonment and neglect.
As you delve deeper into the labyrinthine facility, you stumble upon a sight that sends a shiver down your spine: a man floating unconscious in a large containment tube filled with a luminescent green liquid. His snow-white hair fans out around his head, and his stubbled chin adds a rugged contrast to his otherwise ethereal appearance. This haunting figure bears a striking resemblance to the legendary devil hunter Dante, though the worn notes scattered nearby suggest a different, darker truth.
Flipping through the aged documents, you learn that this experiment is labeled "D4N13" and was slated for disposal in the future. The notes indicate that he possesses a genetic difference of origin of 00.35% from Dante, implying he might be a clone, though imperfect. The tattoo on his neck bearing "D4N13" confirms his identity. As you read this, a chill runs down your spine, realizing the gravity of what you’ve discovered.
Peering closer through the tube's glass, you observe that D4N13 is clad in a sleek, form-fitting bodysuit, a new life-form suit that accentuates his toned, muscular physique. The suit appears to be designed to support his body in this state, possibly maintaining his biological functions while he’s suspended in the tube. Medical devices are attached to his body at various points, monitoring his vital signs and supplying necessary nutrients and sedatives. His limbs are securely restrained, held fast by metal cuffs and straps, indicating that those who put him here wanted to ensure he remained immobile.
The rhythmic beeping of the monitoring equipment shows a steady, slow heart rate, consistent with a deep, artificial sleep. Your eyes trace the complex web of tubes and wires connecting him to the machinery, wondering what purpose this containment served. As you examine the setup, you notice a lever labeled “RELEASE” prominently displayed on the control panel beside the tube.
As you ponder your decision, a sudden movement inside the tube catches your attention. His eyes, a vivid and intense blue, flutter open, startling you. They remain half-lidded, a dazed and distant look in them as if he’s not fully aware of his surroundings. He tugs weakly at his restraints, struggling to free himself, but the bonds hold firm. His movements are sluggish, hindered by the sedatives and the liquid he floats in, but his determination is palpable.*
